I’ve heard it’s coming, not sure when but yeah. That’d be sweet, I wouldn’t mind owning a compact 5.7 as well. Not sure if it’s something I would edc but would be cool nonetheless.
@@VPTACTICAL just a preference not into bigger handguns my service pistol is a G17 and I’d prefer a 19 all day..and I may carry it in the car not sure yet have to see how well it functions
@@tootactborii Heck of a gun capacity wise, curious if anyone has done comparisons of energy out of a 5.7 pistol vs. 9mm and .40. Dept. issue 17’s or will they let you carry anything else?
@@VPTACTICAL no they issued us these and it’s what we can carry it’s good for sure I just prefer a better purchase on the grip as opposed to there being space
My Rugged Oculus 22 suppressor is also rated for 5.7x28. NATO finally adopted this cartridge in the last two years. There is now a 7 round magazine extension out for it. Making 30 shot magazines + 1 in the chamber.
Awesome! Makes me curious if my R9 is rated for it, can’t find anything in he manufacturers website. That’s pretty cool, I might grab some of those extensions! Thanks for the info and comment. I appreciate you being part of the squad - be safe and stay vigilant 🤙🏻🤙🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸.
Great question! To my understanding it’s more or less cosmetic, aside from some little weight savings. The RK1 has the slide cutouts, which you can get with and without optics ready capabilities. Thanks for the question and I appreciate you being part of the squad - be safe and stay vigilant 🤙🏻🤙🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸.
That’s a great question - I think the platform would be just fine for those with and without medical conditions. It’s very easy to rack, being it’s a full size a tad heavier than a compact of course, and the recoil is very minimal. I’d say go for it! Worst case stop by your local gun range and rent any 5.7 pistol, that should give you a definitive idea of how it’ll be for you! Thank you for the question and I appreciate you being part of the squad. Be safe and stay vigilant 🤙🏻🤙🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸.
Appreciate your timely, and helpful, answer. We’re heading to the range this weekend, and will try to rent a 5.7. Best wishes. Look forward to more content from you.
@davidmatz4755 Awesome! Have a fantastic time at the range and drop a line after you get some time behind one. Let me know your thoughts! I’ll see you around the channel 🤙🏻🤙🏻
Had to postpone our trip to the range until next Sunday. Meanwhile, I’ve read some reviews that PSA’s customer service is less than stellar. Customers have reported that no one picks up the phone, nor responds to emails. Now, you can’t please everyone all the time. But I’ve seen more than a few complaints that could indicate a pattern. Have you had occasion to deal with the customer service folks there?
@davidmatz4755 I get it - sometimes things happen, I’m sure you’ll make it next weekend. PSA sells a vast amount of firearms, they’re certainly not perfect but they generally make a solid product. I luckily haven’t had to use their warranty. All of my PSA guns, which I have quite a few haven’t been into warranty service.
Anyone else rocking a 5.7 pistol? If you don’t have one, would you get one?
Waiting for them to drop the compact version

I just got mine today. Shoots great! At25 yards I was right in the 2 inch ring.
Awesome! Glad to hear yours is spot on, have fun and happy shooting. Thanks for the comment and I appreciate you being part of the squad. 🤙🏻🤙🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸
What is the difference between the psa rock 57 and the RK 1 slide? Does RK1 mean optic ready?

Do you think this would be a manageable platform for a couple of seniors with some arthritis? Recoil/muzzle flip and racking the slide?

Man I thought these had that same horrible hinged trigger
Luckily they don’t, it’s a glock style trigger with the tab in the middle of it. One piece! 🤙🏻🤙🏻
That thing is SEXY looking! 🥵
Thanks man, she is 🔥 haha, that two tone is something special
