Even if Sparrows DOESN'T make it, the lock picking community still wins! He could do like what Mathias Wandell does and leave the videos up showing the whole process, and then selling the plans for pennies on the dollar (more like a pittance to support continued work rather than an actual "living"), UA-cam members and Patronizers (blame Simone Giertz for that term, then check out her channel) would get it free, every one else, like, $5-15 to support the Lock Lab and LPL. They could put a licence on it that's fair and pretty permissible, like a Creative Commons, Share-and-Share-Alike-Non-Commercial. or CC with Attribution.

Sparrows would be on the slightly crazy side to not want to make these on a large scale. You both have done a great job, and saved them on one of the largest costing parts of any manufacturing companies costs: R&D. Not only that, because of the viewership of both your audiences, there is a ready market for these. Again, great job, both of you.

If Sparrows accepts it and will build it, great.
I hope however that either way the blueprints are made available for a small donation to a charity or an organization like TOOOL. Like if Sparrows commits to building them they'll also sell you the plans for 15 dollars, 5 for them, 5 for TOOOL, and 2.50 each for Bill and LPL (because I feel they should get paid something). If Sparrows doesn't accept it then LPL and Bill could set up something where if you give 5 dollars to TOOOL you get the plans, if if you're a member of TOOOL...

We've seen some of the tools used here & there in videos. But finding out what it is, why it's needed, & how they use it, would be extremely informative. As they go through the items in their kits, they could each share their own expertise & experiences on using the items & maybe even learn a few tips from each other, as well as educating viewers. Aside from that, I have been working on a gadget that I made from a 16 penny nail and a can of compressed air., It works marvelous with almost all locks. It's very discreet, very quiet. It can be used for any pin locks, be it padlocks, homelocks and a modified version that works on carlocks. If you two would ever like to exchange ideas on some of the ways I could incorporate this for use on other types of locks, that I, quite frankly am at a stand still with, please let me know. ~Pop-

VIDEO SUGGESTION - Currently available locks that you would recommend for actual use in securing stuff, valuable stuff, your own valuable stuff perhaps. Maybe have different categories, cost to benefit ratio, cost no object, bike locks, door locks, luggage locks, gun locks, trailer hitch locks, cores to improve locks.
I've watched a metric a$$ ton of videos from both of you and the common theme between you guys tends to be locks that you wouldn't use to secure your trash can or stuff that's been modified and sent to you as a challenge that would be unobtanium to most of us out here. How about something you would actually use instead of the parade of useless locks. PLEASE!
I have a couple of other ideas too, if you need them...
Love the current/ excellent, BB & LPL, videos. So keep up the good work regardless!

All of these parts can be made using what is called a CNC Swiss screw machine which can start with a 20 ft rod and produce a tray full of parts automatically. The big problem is the volume of products and the programming required to produce each part here.

Would love to see a comparison of your EDC lock pick kits and do you keep a bigger kit in a vehicle or some place nearby. I’m a firefighter EMT and looking for something to keep in my mask bag. Sometimes like during a CO or strange odor call we need to get into building but don’t want to do damage.

THIS is why the lock sport community loves SPARROWS!!
I myself have been saying I hope Sparrows picks this up, but so have a few others. And that’s the only company I’ve seen anyone in this series mention.

These all look great and I can’t wait to buy one and try it out without having to explain to my wife why I spent $250 or more on a lockpicking hobby tool. I am sure the more expensive ones are actually worth every penny if you need it for decoding, etc. I don’t know much about manufacturing but it seems like the parts could be made by not-for-profit vocational/trade schools in small production runs and sold to a distributor to raise money for the school.

Loved the collaboration. Since you asked a reasonable sequel would be to modify the tool an make it to 1. tension on the bottom and 2. make a half moon tension/pick part (for abloy generation 1).
Keep up the good drin.... I mean work.
    Cheers

I would absolutely love one of these! I'm sure if the Chinese can produce the crappy ones for ten dollars then surely your design could be made for for cheap too. You two are the best love you both

Dale Swindells there’s a BIG difference in design of those cheap crappy locks and what was designed here. You won’t see this available ever for anywhere near the $10 range.

@@Ben7seven7 no sh!t sherlock, thanks for pointing out the obvious they said it would cost around 60 dollars. My point was they are possible to mass produce.
