You are really the most sweet most generous thoughtful person ever! Teaching us and encouraging us to do and try YOUR IDEAS!! (which are beautiful and amazing as you are). Please move to the states and be my neighbor!! I wouldn’t bother you (much!)❤️
(sigh) Wow Jibid! I struggle to find any elements of your journals that do not completely enchant me. The deliberateness of all those details in your collages and tags and inked papers mesmerize me beyond belief. I would love to curl up and take residence inside one of these beautious works. Your journals are visual poetry to my soul. 🦉
Ice blue waters of the archipelago glimpsed through the window of the small red stuga. Fishing nets glistening on the rocky outcrops. Fish drying in anticipation of the long dark winter....the eagerly awaited Spring when the sun begins its journey to midsummer......the light startlingly bright on the snow when the land returns to crystal. This truly remarkable book encapsulates the simplcity and utter beauty of the unique Scandinavian light and life. Wow, it transported me back there like no words could. Tack so mycket, Jibid.
Very pretty. I am a big beach bum. I love everything that has to do with the beach. My favorites are of course shell, octopus, pelicans, and jellyfish. You covered all of them. When my children were small, I had a large real shrimper boat fishing net hung on my wall. When the kids and I went scavenging on the beach, we always brought our things home, cleaned the find up and made a big production of displaying the finds on the wall with the fishnet. It was so gorgeous to me. One day I had to move for my job, and I had to remove those contents. I cried for days over that, and stupidly I didn't even take a picture of it. I was so torn up over having to remove it I didn't even think of the picture. I think I still mourn over the loss of that net on my wall. Those days living near the beach with my family are the best memories of my life. So seeing lovely books like this one touches my heart very deeply. Thanks for bringing back the memory
This is my favorite journal yet - ok, I have said that several times... Thank you for sharing this with us. I love your new techniques. The collages are amazing. Your friend will treasure this wonderful journal.
Joni’s, this Journal is magnificent. It’s the best work I’ve ever seen from anyone. You must really love Liv❤️👍🏻. The book literally moved me to tears at times through the video. Also, the soft spoken and tender touch you present to us viewers, again moved me. This video was a pleasure watching, and I thank you so much 😊
Jibed, I,am beyond inspired by this journal. So many techniques and ideas for one book! I just want to live in your head for a day and see how your mind works! ewe that sounds very creepy, sorry. I made books as well and appreciate how much you share, hearing your process as you flip thru is so great. I’d love a tip on your dying process. The blues and greens, especially the linen cover make my heart race😍 it must take you weeks to complete a book like this. Sorry to ramble, just such a fan of your talent. Lisa
Your journals are works of art and they are filled with so much tactile yumminess. (There are two words probably never used together). I find it hard to find the words to describe how your journals make me feel. Your thoughtfulness in your design seems to heal the soul. I am always so inspired by your work. It seen to flow so naturally and there is nothing artificial about it. Beautiful work Jibid! I always look forward to seeing what you have created.
Incredibly beautiful journal it just blends with the lovely background.I could hear the waves splashing then later the sound of my feet walking through that magnificent forest....such God given talents Jibbid...so happy and thankful for sharing it with us.You are a very generous friend. Hugs.
Once again, I notice my heart skipping a beat here and there - I am hyper inspired, Jibid. Thank you for sharing with us today this absolutely beautiful work of art! I adore it through and through!
This journal is simply stunning! So many fantastic ideas of how to use ... fabrics, paper and everything else :) I do love what you create! You're one of the most inspiring artists for me!
And yet another stunning work of art! Every little detail and deliberate thought and so much love you put into your journals are amazing. Your creations are just one of kind! The journal and in its entirety is just gorgeous. I think my favorite pages are the ones where you stitched in mountains with tracing paper and, I believe it’s in the center of one of the signatures, the image of the octopus with the sewn tracing paper with regular paper to make it look like it’s in the water or coming out of the water! (I really hope that makes sense, LOL) Love all the little stitched tags. I hope to one day be able to create something with as much beauty. Thank you for the continuous inspiration you give me and Always for your time with making the Videos!! Your Friend, ~~Dana~~
Dana Faber aww Dana that is so sweet, thankyou! I think that was my favourite pieces too, it's nice when things come together like they are supposed to. Happy crafting days to you sweetie x
This is one of the most amazing journals I've seen Jibid! I live in Norway and can certainly relate to the nature you've created in your artwork in this book- the details of the white splatter looked so true that I could almost taste the salt from the sea :) I live on top of a mountain (a small one) and have large windows with view over the sea 🌊- I love watching how the color of the sea change so often. I adore your work my friend- hopefully one day I'll be able to order one from you too :) Big hugs- Wenche
Hi Jibid. I put off watching this video until I could watch it in its entirety without interruption. That day came today and this is simply a stunning book. One of my favorites of your work. As ever, thanks for sharing your tips. Have a great weekend!
I definitely agree with Liv. She is blessed to have this lovely journal and to have you as such considerate and loving friend...I am so glad you shared your skills and artistry once again! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Bonnie in Ohio
Wow wow wow. What a freakn awesome journey you've taken us on with this journal. Absolutely stunning, just love all your attention to detail, beautiful 👍👍ur friend is a very lucky lady to get something so stunning 😊 ❤💚💛
Such a beautiful journal I love the theme as always with your journal you much so much work and love into them. And sewing wow thank you so much for sharing Live is a very lucky lady to be receiving this journal. Have a lovely day.X
Your journals are remarkable ! You remind me of an actor who studies every aspect of a subject before you take on an acting part. It is obvious you are well versed in your subject . I love each new video and to hear your stories. Love and health to you and yours in this new year ! S. Carolina location.
I'm so glad you made a video of this Journal, even though it is not going in your shop. Liv is blessed to call this her own....it is so beautiful! I hope it does bring the happy childhood memories & feelings back to wash over her in a soothing soak of love from a Dear Friend- YOU, Jibid!
Jibid... I could gaze at your art all day!! Your ideas always are exciting and look like fun techniques to try. The colors here are amazing like that aqua page so green blue gorgeous! And all your detail right down to the Sea blue thread used for stitching. I really must try using my fountain pen inks to color wash some pages...the transparency is intriguing.. like the octopus half hidden under the water. Your style is so organic which makes every page an original piece of art! Keep us Inspired... never stop teaching and thanks so much for sharing!
So glad you decided to film and share with us. I know I always say this, but I think this one is my favorite yet--something about it really speaks to me. :D
WOW!!! GORGEOUS as always; the printing, the dying, the hand-made stamping, the sewing . . . AMAZING! As for the Shakespeare quote, given that sloppy signature, maybe scholars couldn't read his writing. "On dreams, of dreams. I've heard it both ways." ;-)
Hello Jibid. I must say, I am new to this art form. When I take the time to learn something, I want to learn from the best. Otherwise to me, it's just a waste of time. I am so thankful I found your channel because I feel like I truly have found the very best. Thank you for teaching
This is one of the most beautiful journals I have ever seen! I love all the detail, and the use of tracing paper so you can see the underlying image is just magickal! Subscribed to your lovely channel!! 💟 Christina~
Absolutely beautiful journal, Jibid, you are amazingly creative, every page is interesting. The octopus under the sea was especially so. Can't wait to see the postage stamp tags in a future book - I've subscribed so I don't miss it. I'd say I was speechless but actually I found a lot to write, lol! Thanks so much for sharing with us.
Stunning book....and Liv...you're a lucky gal! When I saw that you posted a new video, I purposely didn't watch it until I was back home, with some tea, hooligan children of mine distracted and I'm all eyes...and ears!!! xo
I am in awe, yet again. Another fantastic journal, so beautiful and unique, with those amazing touches that only you can create with such love and pure talent...Absolutely stunning.
loved it again, usually, I'm not that gravitated to ocean books, but yours are so beautiful, [I want to try a woodland book], and those lovely ideas wow really so different, also with the two themes, I am really mesmerised bij the tracing paper with that sewing!, I have lots to learn if my books will ever be in the same league as yours, loads of love from me to you xoxoxo
This Creation is my favorite...of course I say that with each one! I love how you married the forest and the sea so seamlessly. I love your videos...listening to you is so soothing and reassuring...like a mother to her child. Thank you so much for sharing your creations Jibid.
What a fabulous album! I love the entire theme and you have translated it just beautifully! I think one of my favorite pages is seeing the octopus through the cover page - looks so real, looking at it through the water.
Wow, this is gorgeous!!! I'm inspired by the cover, I'd like to emulate how you created waves and ocean foam with cheesecloth. Your ocean colors are so gorgeous. I'd started a woodland journal but switched to seafaring, how odd! I'm also Norwegian and these are my two comfort zones in the out-of-doors. I used to lecture on board eco tourism ships in the polar regions (mostly Antarctica), our great grandfather was a Norwegian whaling manager there (both poles), as well as a kayak guide, so my affinity for water, water history and the woodlands is in the DNA. Blue and green are my favorite colors. Thank you for the inspiration and your contact!!
Hi Jibid. Again, words cannot describe the quality of your work. And so many helpful tips. Love the see-through "ocean bit" in 24:13. If you put an image of a predator like a shark chasing another fish on the opposite opaque pages it could tell a mini story. Or maybe the shark being chased by a dolphin. Haha. I did a little research for you for 35:45. It says on the Internet: (Prospero says "made on," not "made of," despite Humphrey Bogart's famous last line in the 1941 film The Maltese Falcon:"The stuff that dreams are made of." (Bogart suggested the line to director John Huston, but neither seems to have brushed up his Shakespeare.) When I need inspiration, You are the first artist I watch. I have a long way to go, but seeing your detailed paperwork makes me think I can be just as creative. Bless.
Reese DChatch haha Reese, including sharks sounds stressful lol! Thankyou so much for the helpful research, I appreciate that, and for your kind comments as always, thankyou sweetheart xx
Stunning! This journal is so amazing and each page is a piece of art. The video also is great, beautiful lighting and the background fabric just looks like the ocean. Your voice is soft and soothing, I hope you don't mind, but it is so nice to hear you talk. Thank you for sharing, Loes
This is absolutely gorgeous you must have so much imagination and patience to produce such lovely work. Your new set up worked well for me loved the back cloth, the sound was better as well. Can’t wait to see more x
I love this mostly because it reminds me of my favorite place in the world - Alaska. Apparently Norway and Alaska are very similar in scenery and coastline. It's beautiful, Jibid, as always!
Wow Jibid!!, your creativity is just mind blowing, this is another stunning creation. I love the linen cover, all the stitching, you brought the ocean to the woods and blended them seemlessly, it's just beautiful... tfs your talent with us all.. Big hugs to you xox Fi
Gosh!!!! This is yet another masterpiece.... Jibid!!!!! you are so creative. In love with every bit of it.... wow!!!! 😍😍😍😍That double spread with the octopus showing through was jaw dropping amongst other things. 😉 thank you always for your inspiration
Hi Jibid, I can see you've put your heart & soul into this beautiful journal for a special lady.....it is just amazingly creative and so inspiring. Your wavy lines are adorable and yes, those charms were in perfect focus! TFS
Hi Jibid, some versions of the Shakespeare manuscripts are corrupted and, sometimes, if the printer was not sure what the original said, he would print what he thought it said, or what he thought it should say. The manuscripts were also revised and edited throughout the years, sometimes by Shakespeare himself, more usually by whatever company was putting on the play. Nonetheless, the accepted version is 'dreams are made ON'. Hope this helps. Lovely journal!
Gorgeous book! Your title caught my eye! Momma used to say something similar to me at night as a child. I’m a lover of the moon, mountains ⛰ and sea 🌊 so this book I understood❣️😍💯👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Another masterpiece Jibid! Truly inspiring. Thank you for posting and including your tips. I enjoyed hearing you talking through your thought process on combining the two themes. You've done it seamlessly! ❤️ Loi from Oz
I can only imagine what it's like to hold this! So amazing Jibid! My favorite parts were the bits your tore and put gesso over and the ominous octopus! Sooo clever! Also, keen observation with the of/on bit. Very curious as to why that may be! Anyhow, thanks for deciding to make this video and sharing! Super awesome as always!! 😊😊💙
Beautiful journal Jibid - stunning! - I have the same Shakespeare book with the sqiggle on the front in much much worse state than yours and I also couldnt find a date in it, I thought I had lost some of the into pages where they normally put it . Cant find out its age even from Google. Its a mystery.
debbe bobbitt hi debbe, thankyou for the kind message. Yes i know its awful, hopefully you wont have trouble with my more recent videos as i was able to purchase a new camera. Also, viewing on a pc with external speakers is better if its possible x
It is even more beautiful in real life Jibid darling. But your voice is like balm for a stressed heart. Love you.
Liv Möller I agree with you about her voice!!she is one of the few I don’t mind hearing ramble.:)

Thankyou very much Marie :)
