Oh Jibid!!! I had to pause only 5:17 into your video...because I am absolutely in love with your work of art!!! You captured all my interests so very perfectly...the photo of the Rockies and those perfect quotes...it’s like you know my soul! I have come across those quotes, especially the very first...& adore them immensely. I am so excited I get to claim this beauty & I can’t wait for her to arrive!!
Christine M Viewing this magnificent journal reminds me of a course I lucked on to 40 years ago as an Economics undergraduate at the University of California at Santa Cruz: Natural History of California. We took 7 field trips across the state. I learned to bird watch and my life was forever enriched. I've collected natural history books ever since. And of course I bird wherever I go (although I am no expert twitcher). Viewing your journal-to-come sent me down memory lane. Happy trails to you!
Amazing....Jaw drop! I have to say, you are the queen of tucks, pockets and hidden compartments. It's a surprise every time I observe your creations. Love it all
Every time I think you couldn't possibly top the last beauty, you just do more and more creative genius beauty and work. Love the sewn lined papers and adding journaling spots on pages that have some blank areas. Amazing woodland journal.
Another bunch of great ideas to try out. The brown tracingpaper looks like earth, and i just love it, i think i am a bit earthy and woodlandy today. Love it, you are amazing,
Oh my goodness!!! I am speechless as always. What a perfect journal. I wanted to watch this video but these days I was really busy, finally got the chance. I always enjoy your videos .You are a sweet person with mamy talents. Hugs.
Absolutely stunning!! The journal is both earthy and elegant--love the poems and quotes, and of course the gorgeous work of art that it adds up to. Thanks for letting us have a look!!!
I don't know if I even have the words for how FANTASTIC this journal is....Wow..the person you made it for is going to LOVE it!!! Your journal are always so inspiring!!! I paused this video so many times to 'ooh and aaah' over everything ..each page was more spectacular than the next...Wow Jibid...absolutely amazing!!!! Thank you for sharing your art with us!!! xo
Adore woodlands and animals, and you always include such creative, lovely elements. Recently gave a shout out to you on a cookbook video when I was feeling your editing woes. The struggle is real. 😳😊❤
What a brilliantly put together beautiful journal. So very much thought has gone into each page. How lucky is the recipient! I think your journals should be referred to not as custom pieces, but rather as commissioned artwork. Thanks so much.
A canvas rucksack, a little primuus stove with its white fuel block tucked into an old biscuit tin, her beloved pencil roll and watercolours at the ready, Susan remembers her exciting adventures from childhood. Swallows and Amazons but a distant memory.....her love of the woods and fells recorded now in her beautiful journal.
Jibid, I just finished watching...& yes it took me awhile because I paused to read every quote and rewound a bit to fawn over your work!! Absolutely brilliant, and fantastic work! Your attention to every detail on every page, just exemplifies the artist that you are. Though it will be extra weight in my pack, I will be taking her with me on all my backpacking trips, & outdoor adventures! You’ve truly captured my soul in oh-so many pages...I only worry I may never want to write in it! I may need to commission your talent again in the not so distant future...beautiful, stunning work as always, my friend 💛
Christine M how lovely, thankyou so much Christine :) it will make me very happy to think of you using it whilst out, not just looking at it lol, it was a pleasure to work on it with you, much love j x
Jibid Neary She opened her eyes, breathed deeply and twirled about. "Yes, here," thought she, "I will be happy here." The pleasure of your journal is inspiring. Who knows if this story snippet is the beginning or the end, just as journal artistry could be an end to itself, but hopefully not!
Absolutely amazing!!! You are always brimming with the most awesome ideas. Every page is magic and i love every bit of every page. Thank you for your inspiration... :)
Jibid you never fail to amaze me. This is so lovely. I especially love the the detail you add and your beautiful stitching. The foxes are obviously awesome! xxx
I got started on a little journal today Jibid. A Secret garden. I tried printing on tracing paper for some of the pages and just love the look. I printed up one cross stitch pattern as well with pansies. I thought it would fit with the theme. I may add a few resined tissue pages with stamping as well just because I love resin paper. You inspired me to get going. It will have to be a gift because of copyright issues. lol If I really like it I'll keep it. :) They were selling a beautiful little leather-bound copy of Robinson Crusoe with gold leaf at my library. I bought it for 50 cents. That will be my cover. :) I expect it will be a long process interspersed with water colour practice. I couldn't paint for two months because of the move and I got rusty. Here goes nothin. :)
This is so beautiful ! I have a particular fondness for the nature/woodland type journals and yours are lovely. I'm interested to know about these magnets you use. They appear to be very thin. I have searched in my area, but have come across nothing but the thicker ones. Could you help me out by telling me what they are and where I could find them.
Annie o thanks so mych annie, yes neodymium magnets, easy to get on ebay, i use very tiny ones 95% of the time because they are so strong, 1mm x 3mm disc. Very occasionally a bigger one if i am going through thick card or many layers x
Hi Jbid, absolutely gorgeous!!! Quick question... What type of ink do you use on the wax paper to make it so lovely? Any chance of a tutorial?? Thank you for sharing hugs, Michelefrapjunky
Jibid Neary oh maybe it is on tracing paper.... You know how you make the paper with brown ink and in the ocean journal you made the envelopes ... You show them both in this journal?
R Friend aha, yes tracing paper. I use a variety, just whatever I own basically. The brown one has some coffee, and the rest of the colours are fabric dyes that I have mixed into water spray bottles, and a few distress ink daubers too. The blues were mostly fabric dyes, some koolaid and a couple of food colourings, as I don't have the distress in those colours. With the exception of a dylusions white for the sea spray. Happy crafting xx
Oh blooming Nora! Do you need a kidney or anything? They're probably not top notch, seeing as my body is screwed already ....but maybe that would help me pay towards owning one of your supercallifragilisticexpilallid-ocious pieces....well a girl can dream..... 💘👍

Jibid Neary oh maybe it is on tracing paper.... You know how you make the paper with brown ink and in the ocean journal you made the envelopes ... You show them both in this journal?
R Friend aha, yes tracing paper. I use a variety, just whatever I own basically.
