It's marketed as an ultra-mobile companion device for staying connected when you don't have the space for a traditional sized smartphone. Like upscale events where a woman is in a nice pretty dress and only has that tiny little clutch with her that's more of an accessory than a storage space, this device is made to fit in that tiny clutch, so you can stay connected. Its advertised for runners, something small that will fit those skin tight jogging tights without being bulky or in the way. It's not advertised for disconnecting, its advertised for staying connected more. Yes, an apple watch or Samsung watch on network will fill all the same roles as this device, well except the more accessible web browser and camera lol. At the 350 price point I think it's a bit much, For maybe $150 - $200 range I could see it being a thing. But as is Verizon is selling it at like 15/month on a payment plan. So it's a negligible cost all said and done. I'm a Galaxy Note user so its a drastic change compared to what I would normally use. In the end though I don't think this is something that is built or marketed with men in mind. We're more likely to use a smart watch as a companion device than something like this. Where a lot of the smart watch options are bigger than what women would usually want to wear. [I say this based on my experience in electronics repair and sales, selling fitbits, samsung watches, apple watches, and other devices.] Women more often than not go for slimmer and smaller devices in the watch category. Like the fitbit alta, and many even stay clear of the fitbit charge line because it's wider than the alta. Apple watches, usually they go for the smaller screened version. I like the concept, But It has no space in my day to day life, I have a shoulder bag with me at most times, and as a man, am blessed with the privilege of reasonably sized pockets on most of my clothing, so carrying my Note around is never an inconvenience.

I like the small size! I hope they make a better version of it that's use-able like a normal smartphone, but also tiny and not big and clunky so I won't drop it so much 😝
Great idea would be to have a wrist strap that makes it go in to watch mode and when you take it out it should go to phone mode. This is a great idea for all tiny phones
The Pilot was my first smart phone and I loved it but the slide function wasn't engineered well. Over time the ribbon connector wore out and made the keyboard useless. I wish they would have kept up with Samsung and Apple
It looks like a reasonable alternative for people who think that phones have gotten too big. I have a friend who got a Galaxy S8 who thought it was too big. Her previous phone was a Droid Mini. I don't think that I would like it.
I can say one thing where it's a near-perfect solution: jogging. You still want to be connected and don't miss some important calls, or when you are just doing groceries which takes like 1-2 hours and during this time you are not using your phone. So, yeah, it's a good thing to have.
I wouldn't pay the price they're asking for it, but I like the idea of having that as a little back up device for your phone. Because Steph Curry doesn’t endorse cheap phones

I don't know anything about features, but design is brilliant.
Waiting for the v2 versions of this. Absolutely love this idea
Did it come out of a palm tree?
Fuckin shit joke but made me laugh 😂
worst joke i’ve ever read in the youtube comments. pretty impressive tbh.

For that price i will switch from an iPhone 5 to a Pocophone

0:45 Bruh, I can't even afford a device....never mind 2 different ones😂😅
Dude. They still sale flip phones. You really want to be disconnected then get one of those, or better yet go phoneless. Can you do that for a week? Go phoneless.
They sale them? Where they sale? Who wants boneless when you can go *phoneless. (*Not a word BTW)

Is it better than just using a smart watch with LTE for going “low-tech” for a day?

Why not?
@@shivamgagad5674 i don't understand why anyone would want this. You said you do want it. Explain why so I, along with everyone else who might have the same question, can understand, please.
Alright it’s an interesting device that is interesting in its own (weird) ways. It’s my opinion that I am expressing; not yours. (Sorry if that sounds salty) 👍
a a: Also, out of the 1.2 Million people who have watched this video, opinions can be different. I know that the majority probably hates this phone, but that doesn’t mean that some people have deferent opinions on the Palm Phone on a diverse UA-cam Community. And that is why Unbox Therapy did a video on it.
Thinking about getting this for running with spotify and Bluetooth earbuds. My 7 pro is a tad large
Actually this would be the perfect phone to bring to school. Especially schools that checks student's belongings often, cuz its so small u can hide it anywhere
Melted Snowman I mean if you’re a girl just hide it in your bra
@@user-im1jq3lw2l loollll believe me but I've wanted to try that, but my school will call a female prefect to check whether if ur hiding a phone in ur bra (if the metal detector won't work)
So... I just make a small 'compartment' for my phone under my desk, it works every time.
i love this in concept; it seems the perfect balance between a smartphone and the Light phone
They shoulda re-released the Palm Pilot. That I would buy
I'm not gonna lie, I kinda like it. What a great concept!
I like the small size! I hope they make a better version of it that's use-able like a normal smartphone, but also tiny and not big and clunky so I won't drop it so much 😝
"Not terrible" - $350
It's a stand alone phone. I bought one two weeks ago. I like it!
Please review sony Xperia xz3!!
I would give this to a kid if I was older and actually had children
It's way too expensive for what it offers....the poco f1 is wayy better!
Great idea would be to have a wrist strap that makes it go in to watch mode and when you take it out it should go to phone mode. This is a great idea for all tiny phones
I get a mate 10 for the same price, i believe its a much better deal 😄😎
Man, look how low Palm has fallen. Anyone remember the OG Palm Pilots?
I had a Treo 680
No, but i do remember 21 pilots
Treo 600 here... Best phone I've ever had
The Pilot was my first smart phone and I loved it but the slide function wasn't engineered well. Over time the ribbon connector wore out and made the keyboard useless. I wish they would have kept up with Samsung and Apple
"The palm phone fits in your palm" what... I thought it would have a palm oil bottle on it
Bad joke 😒
It looks like a reasonable alternative for people who think that phones have gotten too big. I have a friend who got a Galaxy S8 who thought it was too big. Her previous phone was a Droid Mini. I don't think that I would like it.

I can say one thing where it's a near-perfect solution: jogging.
You still want to be connected and don't miss some important calls, or when you are just doing groceries which takes like 1-2 hours and during this time you are not using your phone. So, yeah, it's a good thing to have.
Yeah, it doesn’t come with a sim card slot, so you have to use it with your phone. And buy it for $350 and pay $10 a month for it.
They’re approx. $100 on eBay now.

Next video: I'm switching to palm phone.
I wouldn't pay the price they're asking for it, but I like the idea of having that as a little back up device for your phone. Like he said as a "vacation phone" or if your S10+ or P30 Pro is charging and you just wanna run to the store real quick, grab the Palm incase someone needs to get a hold of ya. Looks like a decent device, not so much a decent price tho.
