great stuff! Have you done a Q3 Sportback review? thanks!
Another wicked review thank you 😊
Hi Paul. I enjoy watching your reviews and they were definitely part of my decision-making process when I purchased a car in April 2022. I have a MY22 Q5 (not the sportback) and I find that I cannot fit a small disposable coffee cup into the cup holder. The lip of the lid always catches on the front/back of the cup holder and I end up with a big mess. I note that you have no difficulty with placing your small coffee cup into the cup holder in this video (8:33), which makes me wonder if the design is different in the standard Q5 or whether the cup you're using has an unusually low-profile lid. Could I suggest that you use a standardised cup so we can compare your measurement to a relatable situation? McDonalds may not make the best coffee (it's not bad), but the cups would be the same across Australia, so it would be a good reference point.
looks fantastic in all colours but in person i love it
Bought one today! A prestige model over that dated q5 wagon. Matrix lights! Waaaa??!! This car is soo much fun.. 🙌
Would love to see for each car that has autonomous parking. A section of the review showing how it works and how good it is. Great reviews as always :)
Good idea 👍
Hi can you do a comparison between Volvo XC 60 vs Lexus NX 2022
Great review as always. Talk to the dealer and you’ll find that drive away price is nothing less than 100k.
The OLED taillights lights up to communicate with other drivers on the road. Just tell others cars" you are too close mate"
that's a great looking infotainment system on a mid-size suv
That brake light tells the driver behind that they are too close and back off especially at lights, but not sure how the other driver knows about it unless driving an Audi or know about it. See you are an auto journalist and you are unaware how can then a normal person 😂
Correct. The ‘light signature’ also changes depending on which drive mode you’re in (auto, dynamic, individual etc). Cool idea, but pointless to 99% of consumers and other road users. The best part is the ‘welcome’ procedure when the vehicle is unlocked at night - SO cool 😍
Miss your off-road section part in videos 🙂
Could we possibly hear an example of the sound system with some Korn
2:48 I always thought OLED had an issue with burning in (or out, in this case). Wondering if they’ll lose brightness after a few years, especially on something critical as tail/brake lights compared to standard LED.
Those OLED are separate to the actual brake light. The new system Audi has brought out is that whenever a car, pedestrian or cyclist gets a bit too close to the rear it shines the extra OLED lights to warn them.
It’s especially useful for tailgaters without have the need to use the brake light to warn someone
Paul, you always mention that the tailgate is electric however you never mention that they support gestures. Can you please include that into your reviews?
Sure - will try and include that info!
Hi Paul really love your videos could you consider reviewing the Jeep Grand Cherokee L Summit Reserve, I was considering buying one but I won't take any steps before your review of this car the way you review the cars gives me confidence in buying!
Would like to buy a sportier 4x4 which can go anywhere around $80k new or used! What's your opinion and suggestions please?
Do you need 7 seats?
@@CarExpertAus please suggest 7 seaters and 5 seaters
Thanks
I have this model with black optic package
Replace durometer with a decibel meter. Your viewers will applaud you
Working on the sound meter. Just trying to make sure it’s consistent for each car we test.
Is it only me who noticed that Paul tried to put his phone everywhere other than wireless charger 😅. I wanted to see how hand rest works with phone sitting on wireless charger. I guess I gotta go to dealer to figure that out.
90K?....... tell 'em they're dreamin
This vehicle will buy only people with money. Do you comprehend this?
Love when poor people comment
Paul mentions theres really nowhere to put your phone" really ! maybe on the wireless charging provision".......
Yes!!, I was watching this too and couldn’t believe making an issue of places the phone was NOT supposed to go. I was waiting for the tailpipe to be tried…”no, doesn’t”t fit there either”
I want to know why VW have flock lined door bins, but Audi being more premium in the VAG group do not?
I had flock lined door bins in my previous VAG and now don't have it in Audi BUT - in Audi the bottom of bins are covered in rubber and actually plastics on the door panel are 'rubberized' too, so from practical point of view - I don't hear difference between VAG and Audi approach. But VW had softer armrest on the door panel... This is one of the few things that piss me off in Q5.
the flashy lights warn the car at back if it gets close...
New Q5 will be released next year. I hope Audi will sell it for runout sale.
The Q5 Sportback looks like the SUV that didn't want to be a sportback. Don't know why just doesn't look that happy to lose that practicality.
This looks SO MUCH better than the Mercedes and the BMW. Those look downright dorky to me
Ya chapters on UA-cam are a bit iffy
Kind of makes a Kodiaq VRS look better value with the same motor etc and a 3rd more space?
Yes
A Kodiaq RS is less expensive
But
A Kodiaq RS is probably bought by people who specifically want to have the availability of 7 seats.
I highly doubt a Sportback buyer would compare this version of Q5, to a Kodiaq.
And also highly unlikely that a buyer of the normal body style Q5, is comparing to a Kodiaq.
U r comparing 2 vehicles that are very different.
Mbenz GLC & GLC coupe, along with BMW X3 / X4 are much more likely to be what most people would consider to b comparable vehicles to the
Q5 wagon &
Q5 Sportback. 🤷🏻♂️
Phone goes in the front one with the door open to hold it in there!
I verry like Car Engine
test the horn please
The dash looks traditional and non modern but still looks nice.
Can't wait for the Turbo OB to kill all those overpriced boxes.
In Europe the same engine makes 265hp...
Engines are too small now :-(
Greetings! :-)
90k with only under coat.
Why is it always raining?? LOL
Melbourne !!
In my country they are cheap roads with lots of bum's i think glc or q5 is needed and not x4
Reckon it's for me ...WTF 90,000 dollars 🤪
Just a "penny less" ;-D
Its sensing the key in your pocket mate. Mine does the same :-)
Hmm…the key was definitely inside the car. Does yours do the same if the key is inside the car as well?
@@CarExpertAus Yes it does my Q7 does that when I am around the back boot. Don’t ask me why it does it but every time I am near the boot the lights flicker
It’s a safety feature in case other cars come too close to your back. An extra red light to signal they need to stop. Other cars have this as well
No its a proximity sensor saying you are getting to close for cars behind you
@@AH-eh8jm yes that's correct
The interior looks dated, like an Audi A6 from 2012.
Where did you find this digital instrument cluster, like this air condition comand, electronic systems in A6 2012?
It looks minimalistic and conservative, it has nothing to do with being outdated. Look at the GLC or X3 interior...
Phone goes on the phone charger ??? Derrrr
12 months time the 3rd gen comes out. Just wait, you'll have a car that won't change shape for 7 years.
Nari Narendra Joshi pandit ♥️👍💪
Ko
Hello Paul I Don't like Car EV so much
Why wouldn’t you just put your phone on the wireless charger? And that’s a pen/glasses holder on the side. Some common sense come on.
Exactly! Shows us the phone charging holder then asks where to put the phone!
Ok ok ok ok ok
90k and a 2 year wait 🤣
BMW X3 is the best!
Right in the Middle...Translated..Blah. (grin)
Sportbacks/SUV coupes are my LEAST favourite thing right now. If I am compromising by getting an SUV don't make me compromise on boot space! Plus, some look fugly... looking at you BMW
Blandest iteration of a Coupe SUV. The GLC Coupe & X4 look far better.
Nobody does bland like Volks......er. Audi
Rip off
Audi finally builds a Nissan B210 😂😂😂
Can't stand coupe SUVs. Just pure style over substance. Theirs almost no S UTILITY V about them!
Yet another bland Audi nobody asked for, especially at this ridiculous price!! I just don't understand people that pay this price for a car that will undoubtedly be unreliable. Build quality certainly does not mean reliability, especially with all the German brands.
