Skip basically fired himself when he fired Shannon. He just didn't know it.
Till this day, Skip hasn’t apologised to Sharp for his comment. At least not publicly. I think that after Shannon left, everybody quit on Skip due to his moral and ego (I’m the shit 🔥 here)
This. Skip is great at what he does, but he had the perfect “counterpart” in Shanon. Sharpe IMO, over time, became a larger part of Undisputed’s success than Skip.
Skip didn’t see it, or thought he could create compelling content with other guests. It is not easy to find another Shanon. He struck gold with him.

As annoying as Skip is, Key made that show completely unwatchable. Wasn't until PP showed up that it started to get a little bit of life but it was far too late and Key is still far too annoying. Maybe hes better with football but his basketball knowledge was outright offensively ignorant and it seems like he never put the time in to learn the game.
If the show was just Skip and Paul, it would be good.

Skip has been around so long that people dont even remember he stole cold pizza from woody paige. Then truned it to first take.
Skip deserves all his flowers. I've been tapping in since the 'Cold Pizza', and early First Take days with Dana Jacobson and Jay Crawford. At the time, Stephen A was just a guest on the show. Imo Skip started the televised "sports debate" format. He blessed Stephen A with First Take, and gave opportunity to several athletes to dip thier feet in the tv debate waters. It'll definitely be different not seeing him in the space any longer.
Skip Bayless is 73yrs old and is worth $10M+. He'll be just fine.

Skip became his own worst enemy. His main issue is him making things personal with the athletes they talk about. That issue created friction with him and Shannon, and also made those same athletes avoid the show. They would go to Shannon’s show, but never Skip’s

I think that the moment Skip started personally attacking Shannon when he was losing arguments a LOT of people permanently lost respect for him. It's one thing to be wrong and have some ridiculous opinions, and another thing to be a disrespectful sore loser.

Skip did it to himself. He thought that he was the show but found out that he was only the sidekick on his own show and Shannon was the star. When Shannon left, Skip countdown to being fired started. It's almost like they gave Skip enough rope to hang himself and he was to dumb to notice it and thought he was safe. Should've just sat there and ate his food and drink his Mountain Dew.
It didn't work because Skip was all of a sudden a "nice guy" with the new cast. He used be the "villian". He no longer pushed the envelope like he did with Steven A. and Shannon.
When Shannon left, I boycotted Skip. I didn't watch one segment of Undisputed, in protest.

True the tom Brady segment was the final straw but the way skip handled the Hamlin situation prior to that contributed greatly I’m sure. Shannon took the day off he was so upset and the next day skip interrupted him when Shannon was trying to explain his position and you could see it was only a matter of time.

5. Talk about Lebron, laker game and goat debate
We”d be lucky to get a cfb topic or boxing topic , let alone baseball topic. Even if you wanna stick to football- basketball, there are plenty of teams to talk about but you stuck to 1-5 teams, mainly the cowboys, not everyone is a cowboys fan.
@tyronpouncey5985 that's why I stopped watching undisputed in 2020. Topics we're the same day after day and it got to a point where I could literally predict word for word what they would say based on the topic. Just became stale and too predictable.

I always find it interesting how time changes everything. Skip's trolling lasted a very long time, but once he fell out with Shannon, and had a merry-go-round of people coming in to take his place, the writing was on the wall.

I remember downloading these episodes when I used to work 12hr shifts at a restaurant early 2010’s. It got me thru plenty of shifts. They all had different style & flavor.

The end of Skip Bayless started the night the Buffalo Bills player (D. Hamlin) almost died on the field and he wouldn't retract his insensitive comments about the game not being completed.

I am barely blaming Skip Bayless. Since the show started again I didn’t have a problem with Skip, but nearly every single day I was annoyed with Keyshawn because he argues about nothing sometimes, doesn’t even get some of the stuff he says correct and a lot of things he says makes no sense.

I hate that Skip gets credited for creating the modern debate format when Around the Horn and PTI existed (and are still thriving) before Skip. They were around two years before Skip joined Cold Pizza. What made First Take better before SAS became permanent was the rotation of debaters (2 Live Stus, Jemele Hill, SAS, etc.).
