You could do a portal delete with an underdrive diff to keep the gear ratio down enough. That would let you run longer shocks and keep the same ride height too. I agree with the 4.19 tires too. Looks fun for sure
Sick setup! One day I'll have the time and space to have plenty of extra parts to make my very own builds, for now I'll stick to my rtr's and mod the heck out of them!
This was the upload I was waiting for!!! This thing is a bit if a beast isn't it? I think it's almost time I put on together... I'm thinking either ElCamino or new Toyota
Grew up driving a dentside, seeing #TwinIBeam on rc time to do a hardbody scale truck. This video reminded me of the time I seen a trophy truck at goodguys show. Was the coolest thing there!
Man.. That looks so fun.. I've got a mud Monster trx4 sport that would be a blast 2wd.. 3500kv vxl powered by a HW Max10sct esc.. I've ran 4s on it and it Flys thru the mud.. 1/8th arrma buggy tires n wheels WRAPPED in rc4wd mudslinger treads glued on 😂😅
This is kool swaybar fer sure ,i like the smaller tire idea, could go ranger prerunner by proline ,shocks def 110 mm, get the travel set shock mounts like rock pirates, but def like this ,more baja style fun to drive an scale ,thank u for the off wall build
It needs a short course or Baja 1000 truck body. Also the more you angle the rear shocks from straight up, the more travel you will get. Even with the same shocks.
Newly subscribed and checking out some of your videos. Cool truck you built with that Ford twin I-beam suspension, not one of Fords better ideas in my opinion but it’s cool seeing it on an RC vehicle. Nice job on the mods. 👍
It would be good to know when it’s locked in the rear and when it’s open… which drifts better etc as I personally think the switchable trx4 axle is genius! But it would be good to know if open or locked is more desirable
Hey Joe I just recently got an axial scx10.3 as a roller and I’m looking for a budget servo recommendation? This is my first crawler so I’m just trying to get it together to see if I like it enough to keep. The front tire on your rig was looking wonky a few times 😂I thought it was broke😂cool rig though😎
Or a 3bros G13 for $90 Theresa ton of great servos out there but you kind of get what you pay for. Definitely go cheap if you’re only using to see if you like the rig.
Exactly I have 150$ servo in a gen 8 and I rarely use it , meanwhile I use the typhon everyday but like you said you get what you pay for, that servo or any higher quality servo are only servos that will work in the Losi LmT , those Amazon servos will only last a couple packs , I probably been through 8 servos with that truck till I put a high quality servo in
how much do you think it would cost to put something like this together? I'd be starting from scratch(I have electronics). Trying to decide if it would cheaper to just buy a kit or build something like this.
Once you get the longer rear shocks and sway bar this thing is going to be awesome, still pretty dang cool like it is 👌🏻
Dude you rock on! Very impressed on the build! You’ve only talked about it for many months 💪

👍😁😎✌️that’s pretty awesome. I love these off the wall builds.
Didn't realize you were in Florida until someone posted an event at the exoplex on our aripeka crawler group.

It's an awesome kit for sure! I'm just worried the more working parts we have the more we could break it. But would be fun to try!

Being Twin I-Beam, it's almost GOT to be a Ford!
Badass build like always
That thing is amazing

What about a cantilever rear set up? 😉👍
I won't lie, after seeing the amount of flex in that plastic, I would love to see Vitavon make I-beams to replace those soft plastic bits
You’re going to snap that chassis
Do you have any other motor/esc suggestions that are more budget friendly?
Pro-Line make it out of jello? 😂
A rear sway bar would help imo!
Amazing ! trx4 Alxe🎉🎉🎉

Amazon 20g 20 bucks

So this proline kit is just for looks then. Cause I haven’t seen one video with decent travel or a except able ride height
Thank you for the video, i could really appreciate that the Proline kit is crap, you saved me money!
Why do you have portal axles on a 2wd jump truck?
What size shocks are you using front n rear

Like 450 bucks
You did an excellent job building a cool truck that isn't going to be super great at anything. 😅
Its doing exactly what its supposed to be doing.
Your videos are great. I don't get it lol it's like buying a 2wd Tacoma 😅
👍😁🤪
❤🎉❤🎉✌👍
Does anyone know the origin of Crawling? Where, when, and why ?
UROC
I'm all about it.
Neat but imo would just go with a real SCT instead trying to make one from something else that clearly was a crawler.
This has a very different driving experience thats needed when the slash gets old😃
I'm very surprised Proline sells a complete kit to do this. Almost seems like too easy of a mod.
Why not just buy a Slash.
Not even close to the same thing. A slash isn't scale at all.
This is way cooler an he already has a slash😊
Front end suspension looks limited, bottoms out and contributes to the rear bouncing. My Axial SCX10 has more front end travel than this I beam setup.
Rear is too soft
Also might need some sort of rear hanging weight behind the axle.
Wow that steering really leaves something to be desired.. thats pathetic..
