When talking about the EA-18G Growler, the footage showed the U.S.S. America CV-66 which was used as a target. Imagine seeing the footage of that, a sinking super carrier but I'm pretty sure the details of that exercise will be classified forever. As for the Super Hornet, there's even a upgraded version of that called the Advanced Super Hornet. More internal fuel, able to carry some stealthy weapons pod, etc.
@F22raptor46 the F/A-18 Hornet is the first aircraft they built as that model, the Super Hornet E and F models are larger then the A model Hornet. Its larger with larger wings to carry more bombs but it makes it less maneuverable. Wikipedia will explain it. Search the "McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 Hornet" opposed to the "Boeing F/A-18E/F Super Hornet".
@Baseshocks I already have read them and i know, but the Superhornet is more maneuverable with better T/W ratio than the hornet, hornet maybe more agile but superhornet is more maneuverable. Plus more capabilities, and more tech. We need this more than Rafale. Cause rafale will have far less range than F/A-18, And F/A-18 is highly versatile cause it can be used as a fighter, bomber, refueler, also awacs etc.
@Baseshocks And F-18 is almost as maneuverable to the Su-30, and is more versatile and newer to the rafale, and believe me the rafale bleeds of alot of energy and speed at high speed turns, I even tested it in a simulation to cross check, and is was true. The F/A-18 is newer, better in technology and range, also highly maneuverable and highly versatile, btw India already has too many russian , european and french planes as it is, they should take the F-18 also.
Unfortunately, the "F-18C" isn't the standard of comparison. The standard -- which no Hornet, "super" or otherwise will ever approach -- is still the F-14 Tomcat.
@F22raptor46 The Rafale is superior. The F A-18 is more maneuverable then the super hornet. It was made with larger wings to carry more of a bomb load off deck. Its a bomb truck. The Rafale is closer to a F16, light and maneuverable.

FA18 super hornet was one of the bidder for 126 multi role fighter plane deal for India. Dassault Rafale bagged the deal.

Muito show !
F-35 is just releasing now and the landing gear problem has been fixed. India needs the B and C variants most. Also the Superhornet.
correction this is a bigger payload plus the f35 is not released due to problems with landing gear on the carrier
Awesome..

I cant believe India rejected this plane and went for Rafale instead.
@Baseshocks What do you mean by saying the Fa-18 is more superior to the superhornet, they both are the same.
dear santa
He missed one slash..
Is the f-18C a single seat plane?
@doitstupidly The F14 does not excel in air to air combat. The only thing its good for is long range strike missons.
Well ... it's not and Hornet but a SuperHornet.
@Baseshocks Dont get me wrong but U.S is only helping, nothing else, they've even offered the F-35 which is the biggest deal we need.
But they will soon!!!!
RHINO'S!!!!
*F/A-18 Super Hornet. please fix the title :)
@doitstupidly Im pretty sure the F14 had a longer range...
1 person is a Tomcat Fanboi
i doubt they are letting india get their hands on it first
this was uploaded 2008, yours 2012
danmark.
I get annoyed easily.
@doitstupidly Its a bit silly though, you are like comparing an F111 with an F15.
F/A-18 SuperHornet. fix that title
Hey, I posted this same video. Did you rip mine off?
