Knowing that they originally intended this game to be the last at one point, the music definitely fits that feeling of a final heartfelt farewell for such a great series.
If Iwata wouldn't had stepped that parallel universe would leave us with waiting for Pokemon remakes every 10 years and I wouldn't had gotten Pokemon diamond He's the reason we have such a very amazing childhood with Pokemon
After all of this year with the Pokemon Community and SwSh, it's nice to come to this and remember the feeling that made me fall in love with this series in the first place.
Even thou I’m past my 30ties I still try to save every penny I have just to play every new Pokémon game. No matter where and how and when I play it always brings me joy like when I was a kid… it’s beyond words to speak how much it gives me a joy and how much it means to me.
AHHHHHH MY CHILDHOOD AND DA FEELS but seriously thank you iwata non of this amazing experience would have happened if you weren't there so thank you iwata thank you you did an amazing job on gold and silver
It was so nostalgic To hear the credits of the game. It reminds me of when i beat it and the joy i experience so thank u for bringing that feeling back
It's nice to actually put a face to these peoples after seeing their names for decades. Gail Tilden always stood out to me and it has become a thing for me to look for her name in each generation.
I remember getting both Gold and Silver at 8 years of age. And I remember this end credits sequence at the end of the original Silver game. Ah, childhood.
Crazy to think these credits roll after beating Red, idk why but to me it put a little more sadness to it. I grew up playing as Red in Red Version, so after beating Red on Mt. Silver and then hearing this? Idk….just felt like I retired him, and I guess myself to a certain extent.
After defeating Lance: Yeah thats a cool and calming song After defeating Red and realising that you beat past 3 years yourself: Cries while looking at to screen.
Imagine finishing Pokémon Gold back in 2000 and then seeing you have another 8 gyms to do, then you go all the way up Mount Silver to get your ass kicked by Red
I don't understand why all the videos of the credits on yt cut the video so soon. The music keeps going after "the end" part, you can hear the same theme but as a music box. I love that part but I never get to hear it in the videos :c
Yeah, I know its Kind of a bummer right, but at the same time, I respect how much they put into a game. That wasn't even gonna be their last. I mean, there's literally a day and night cycle in a gameboy game. How many times have you seen that before? Also, regarding iwata and his compression method, who cares if he wasn't the reason kanto was put into the game. Instead, he saved us from a Gen. 4 incident. He was truly amazing... RIP satoru iwata thank you for all you have contributed to the gaming industry over the years. You will always be remembered fondly by everyone you're inspired over your lifetime Thank you
@@8e469 It definitely costs way more to make a movie (the lowest budget you’ll see for a feature film is $100 million, and blockbusters have a budget of at least $1 billion), but yes, games from large developers cost a lot these days, but just look at indie games and how much of a budget they have. They can’t work with much, but they’re talented enough that they make do.
Oh wow. My already neglected and insure inner child is sad and disappointed. Good thing I revisited this happy memory. Edit: I joke, but this game was great
I recommend getting a Gameboy Advance (probably a SP since it has a backlight) since it can play Red/Blue/Yellow, Gold/Silver/Crystal, and Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald (as well as FireRed/LeafGreen, but I think Red/Blue does a better job at presenting the vibe of Kanto in a faithful manner).
Knowing that they originally intended this game to be the last at one point, the music definitely fits that feeling of a final heartfelt farewell for such a great series.
It does in some degree.
About that...........
Did you know?.....(and it has nothing to do with the Vaporeon virginpasta)
Omg it's pikajew
And to think this was supposed to be the last Pokemon game
@SMD sth91 That's an interesting concept, I would say.
@SMD sth91 actually red still has the badass serious angry smile
Seeing where things are now, perhaps it should’ve been.
NeverSaySandwich1
Tbh it would of made this ending much more heart warming
@busymike
And you're acting like "likes" on a comment on a video are such a huge deal 🙄
Iwata, of course we understand. We always will :(
Im crying.
:’(
I legitimately shed a couple of tears listening to the credits theme and seeing the Pokémon sprites dancing right after reading your comment.
@@SmoothTurtle840 The credits for this game were such a memorable bit of my childhood. The music and dancing sprites really made an impact on me!

Spent ages looking for this, thanks
I love how the Generation II games have such a nice happy end credits theme and sequence!
You actually get to see the credits roll after defeating Red on Mount Silver Cave.
Yes, you get to experience this wonderful theme twice, which-although lessens some of the impact of it-is welcome due to how much of a vibe it is.
It's enough to make a grown man cry ;(
#ThankYouIwata
One of the best credits themes, of one of the best OST's, of one of the best games ever made.
The key change at 1:00 still gets me 20 years later.

i love how they embraced this ending's style with USUM's credits.
nostalgia

I almost cried when I first beat ultra moon and saw that
Rest in peace to the truly handheld generation of Pokemon. I'll fondly miss growing up besides this series and taking it everywhere I went
I know! and the USUM credits where the Pokémon in handheld consoles saga ending, so it felt sad and heartwarming as well

When you graduate college.
( Also #ThankYouIwata. May you rest in peace. )
this music is so catchy and kind, i dont know but it feels so good than the other games.

I want this to be one of the songs played at my funeral!
In memories of my cousin, Great TRAINER !!
who came here to see bellossom dancing?
Pokémon games took good care of us. :)
Play either Gold or Silver on a DMG-01 Game Boy, especially with headphones. Your ears will thank me.,

Lore of Pokémon Gold - Credits momentum 100
Play this at my funeral
Thanks for playing 😂
My first game when I was so young god I want to cry
Me after beating red with just my feraligatr. People really sleep on him too much. Ice fang, slash, surf and bite took out his entire team
No one sleeps on him lol the sleeper pick has always been Chikorita.
I chose cyndaquil haha. My favorite pokemon, fire punch, flamethrower, thunderpunch, and strength (would be return but i need strength sometimes)
This song made me sad even as a kid lol.
Imagine finishing Pokémon Gold back in 2000 and then seeing you have another 8 gyms to do, then you go all the way up Mount Silver to get your ass kicked by Red
Pokemon would never be the Same After the Nexts Games.
I wish more Pokemon games were in the GSC look. This was peak Pokemon when I was a kid.

The perfect song
After battling the most powerful trainer.
Funny that Crystal has this played differently.
Arigato Masuda-san!
I remember the end of this song having a more somber quiet version of the main riff play, but i cant find it anywhere?? is it a mandala effect?

only 4 programmers???????

you mean back when games were games.
Not literal casinos disguised as basket ball or soccer game.
Pokemon gold isn't the longest rpg in history so four programmers could finish this game
Four programmers with plenty of time can do a lot.
