You have made me curious, so I looked into Donne and some of his works. Almost immediately I was sidetracked into the criticism of Metaphysical Poetry, especially by Samuel Johnson. You are absolutely correct Polina, Johnson was not a fan of the Metaphysical Poets. This genre of poetry is unfamiliar to myself but I am definitely intrigued. I am a fan of T.S. Eliot and apparently he credits Donne as an influence. Thus, I look forward to future Donne content from your channel.

@@PolinasPages T.S. Elliot has a full catalog of works of which I am a huge fan. The Waste Land is probably his most praised novel, but my personal favorite is Four Quartets, which is a collection of long form poetry.
without the sexual undertone, it could mean anything ranging from the pleasures of the countryside (nature, sun, etc), to quite literally country matters, as in global affairs, and being involved in the world/society. Open to interpretation!:)
