I love your podcast Rip, and especially, I absolutely love Dr. Will "B". I've been 35+ plant-diversity per day for 6 or 8 months now. And I now feel better than when I went vegan 6 years ago, and most certainly better than when I went vegetarian in 1983. At 67, (going happily on 68), I have more energy now than ever, and I mountain-bike and distance cycle. And planning on the annual ride across Iowa called RAGBRAI. You, Dr. B and all the other relevant podcasters in the plant-based community are my continuous favorites - and providing much needed service in this country.
Dear Rip: this is a life-changing talk with Will B. I will order his books and start taking massive dumps😁Warm greetings from a belgian follower. Best regards. Wishing u and the whole plant based movement growing success🥦💪
Gents, thank you for sharing your knowledge. This is TRULY life changing, life saving information. The human body is really an amazing machine if treated well.
How can you not love a podcast that the host signs off with saying “take epic dumps” , I mean wow. No but seriously great information, love dr. B he’s great. Thanks Rip for keeping me inspired to stay plant strong!
Many people I know won’t eat beans at ALL! We grew up eating beans pinto or navy beans ( my mom wasn’t very adventurous) but we ate beans. Often just over homemade bread. I love beans.
I was recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. You put my confusion to bed regarding keto vs WFPB diets. You both have such a wealth of information. Thank you for sharing! ❤ Reading Mastering Diabetes by Cyrus and Robby.
What a wonderful podcast, filled with great information and positive vibes!! I love it. Thanks for all the great work, from the heart of a whole food plant based lifestyle adopter for 3 weeks now! I’m loving it and don’t feel I’m missing out on any animal based foods.
I’m a 94 year old woman with type 2 diabetesBecause of chronic constipation from b.p. Medication, I have to take mirolax every day. Is that harmful to the micro biom.e? Is a laxative better?
“The Fiber Fueled Cookbook” is Dyn-O-Mite! 350 plus pages of pure inspiration and easy, “this will fix it” recipes for genetic food intolerances, allergies, chronic health issues, “how-to” repair and restore a healthy gut biome, etc. RUN, don’t walk to get this book: you’ll probably never need to buy another one. Seriously!!!
I am 65 and switched to vegan from vegetarian last Oct, after hearing Doctor McDougall. I am a long distance runner and tennis coach and this diet is super healthy. Luckily, I don't need vegitarian recipes since I am a lifelong vegetarian and we South Indians cook very tasty fare.
For 3 years we have tried to sprout broccoli, various legumes. But esp with broccoli we have had so many failures, smelly bacteria? that we have given up. Rhonda Patrick and other videos have not show us how to get the fresh wonderful B sprouts we did at the beginning. We are exploring powdered sprouts but with much less enthusiasm.
Dr Patrick had one video where she suggests to take the following steps for sprouting: add s broccoli seeds in sprouting jar full of water, add 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar and one drop of dishwashing soap. Stir well and wait 10 minutes. Drain and rinse about 10 times. Then continue with the regular routine of soaking the rinsed seeds for 10 hrs etc. That gives me great sprouts every time.
Thanks so much for putting these videos out there! I have your cookbooks and just ordered the Fiber Fueled cookbook! My husband and I have been eating whole food plant based since November 2021. I have lost 51 pounds and my husband has lost 34 pounds! The difference in how we feel is amazing. I have a question though, I am curious about your thoughts on freeze drying foods for long term storage. We eat fresh foods now but want to be able to store food from our garden for long periods of time. Basically taking food from the garden directly to the freeze dryer. For storing foods long term what are your thoughts?
Rip and Dr. B., Can you have too much fiber? I counted up my grams of fiber for a typical day and I am usually about 100 grams. Is this too much fiber?
The only beef I have with dr. B is this: why wouldn't dried herbs count towards plant points & plant diversity? Way better than the salty tastmakers that are the alternative.
Ok. I have severe gastritis. I refuse to use aciphex any longer. I keep being told that I am allergic or intolerant of many vegetables. Because, when I eat them I get severe pain. So, what the heck am I supposed to do ? I would love to be vegan.
Read his book, Fiber Fueled. He says when people have food intolerances it’s because of a damaged gut - and as the gut heals over time with the right protocol, those intolerances should start fading. That’s what the GROWTH acronym he discusses in this podcast addresses - food intolerances.
Dr B! I thought I knew Pink Floyd pretty well, but don’t know the ding you picked. I totally thought you were gonna say, “Free Bird” ! That’s got an awesome solo by Lynyrd Skynyrd. Maybe you’re too young to know that one. LOL
@@calisongbird - Okay. I did not remember the name of the song. I pulled it up and remembered it but not the name. Maybe it matters what era you listened to them. Dark Side of the Moon was big when I was in high school. Money, Time and Careful With That Axe Eugene were more memorable. When The Wall came out, I wasn’t listening to them as much. Thanks for the memories.
Thank-you for asking about the carnivore only diet, people are turning to now. It makes NO sense to me and scares me as far as health goes. Anyone that claims it’s healthy I turn off. How could dead flesh rotting in your digestive system be healthy?
Egon that was my dad's name too. He died of a heart attack and had chronic kidney disease. We went to see Dr John McDougall in the early 1992. Sadly he didn't take the advice and died at the young age of 74. You sound like a follower of Dr. Gundry. A huge quack. I wish you the best of luck Egon, but I'll stick to fiber.
@@egonmeusburger3031 maybe you should worry more about your English writing skills. Anyone who go can’t communicate clearly and writes with the misspellings and syntax of a 5-year-old cannot be trusted as a reliable source of information about anything.
Heard it at the right time..we'll after going to a variety of doctors who were insisting that I should include more animal based foods and less to no legumes etc... It is sad how little knowledge most "physicians" are on healing with food. Thank you 🤗🙏🏼💚🎋🪔🪬
Eating this way changed my life!! ❤️❤️❤️

See you at Ragbrai Lane...so nice to see so many plant based cyclists❤
Dr Will should be nominated for a Nobel Prize in Medicine. Seriously, his advice would improve the well-being of many people.
I can't get enough Dr B. His books is amazing, I love listening to him. This is life-changing!!!
To favorites in one podcast! Thank you so much

Hello from Athens Greece 😊🩵💙🎋💚
Is there a specific type of pea that helps with allergies? Or will any pea sprout work?
They're all healthy. If one helps with allergies, they all do. They're not that different.
