This is not designed for instant camera switching during a live production. This switch is more about getting multiple sources connected when inputs are limited or audio extraction is needed. To be certain, I tested it with three cameras (Sony, Canon, and Panasonic) and there is a delay. For cameras I would recommend an ATEM Mini for outboard hardware switching or you could use a Cam Link Pro (or similar) as I do. I have gone the multiple USB capture card route, but I really like the stability of the CLP. If you need a USB solution, the UCEC MultiOne MIni (4 HDMI input, USB 3.0 capture) could be an option. www.ucec.tech/products/ucec-multione-mini-4-channel-video-multi-viewer-capture-card-usb3-0-hdmi-pass-through-1080p-60fps-live-streaming-recording?variant=39610986102954 I am waiting on one for review, so I can't tell you how it performs yet.
Yes, the available modes over HDMI will be the same as the TV you have connected (Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master, Dolby Digital, AC-3...) as configured by EDID. The SPDIF output supports 2.0 and 5.1 modes and can be set manually or left in Auto mode. Hope this helps out.
good review keep it up.
Much appreciated! I hope it helped out.
Is this good for camera?
or its still makes the weird cut when switching.
