- There's a little too much leader power in the game right now, so I decided to tone that down with a little friendly Lockdown! If you're a newer player, every time I say "Usurper", it refers to the Lockdown ability.

why is it called usurper?
Old gwent have leader ability tie in with leader avatar, usurper is the lock down leader

@@lawrencepatrick2486 No idea why would you spout such idiotic statements without any knowledge whatsoever. Nilfgaard is an empire, there are no kings or queens. The usurper is the man who took down and killed the former emperor, Emhyrs father. Later he himself got killed by Emhyr who with the help of the sorcerer Vilgefortz reclaimed the Nilfgardiaan empire for himself.

I'm a newbie. 5 days into the game now. I chose Nilfgaard because it reminds me of the rogue class in Hearthstone. And my first homebrew deck was a full Lock(i just put all the lock card i have). but after getting rekt by a Lockdown vampire deck i chose to use Lockdown cause i don't want to think about the leader ability. lol. Now i'm using an hybrid Poison Lock Lockdown with a deck basis from mr habbla and it works. Win streaked my way from rank 27 to 24.
So i'm taking inspiration from your deck to refine it even more. Great video and keep up the good content. You earned my sub. :D
I think Knickers comes out if his points are needed to not lose the round, and also he comes out if his points make the difference of going in a position where the opponent gets a pass that gives him card advantage or not. Complicated sentence, but if you are on blue coin, and your opponent has tempo'd ahead, and your play this turn is shy 3 points of getting ahead, he seems to come out to "aid you" as the card says. I have seen this when I have played it, and also a few times of other players.

Thanks for the video. I am really enjoying playing with lock down. I have played several games where the other player just forfeited after the first round because of this deck messing with their strategy. That said, as Dom mentioned it appears the provision costs have changed since you posted. I ended up dropping Avallac’h and added some other solider cards. Overall this has worked well but there have been a few instances when Avallac’h would have been helpful. Based on the provision updates what updates do you recommend for this build?
Took me a few games but think I got the hang of this deck. Solid against everything pretty much, monsters can be tricky.

I play this on console and use the leader ability and have a deck that's pretty decent but I I'd play on PC or had a smart phone then I can enhance it even further saldy I have neither but so far it's good. And just subscribed Mcbeard can't wait to see more of your content man 😎

There is no purpose to play on console.......You would have to transfer yr account over to gog.com ...Gwent on console is dead.. Still trying to get my head around why cdpr took it off in the first place.
@@lolitamackrill1658 true but my goal is to at least reach a hundred before that happens Plus this shit has happened to me 2 time's already 1st deadmans cross which was my favorite game to play and 2nd Evolve now Gwent I mean come on like what the F##k man I'm pissed so computer is out of the question cause of personal issues so my only option would be to get a smart phone 😡. The thing is that i just hope I can get it before June

So this deck is now 4 provisions short. what do you think of Vrygheff + another 4 in this deck in place of False Ciri and Avallach?
nvm tried it out and can't get much value from Vrygheff. Maybe Assire or Iris Von Everec though?

Are this is unranked games? Because I didn`t meet such opponents at this rank... And so far didn't win a game with this deck. Changed it a little - added Nauzika, cause I think its a good engine for this deck.
I never post unranked games unless they are seasonal
NG is definitely tier 1 ...SCO IS GOOD ,but Ng is more than capable of beating them as i have on numerous occasions . So NG for me is tier 1
NG Poison and lockdown loses to ST Swarm elf deck instantly.

@@lolitamackrill1658 nope. Thats just facts. NG crushes tall units, not decks that go wide and makes poison dmg non threatening cuz of small targets.

Why I Can't use this deck , it say -4 provisions , please help , I'm new to this game.
Cards get balanced each season and values change. The usually means I was using cards that were later nerfed

some card provision costs likely changed so you might need to switch some things around

Haven't played this game in a while, why are you playing singleton without Shupe?
Provisions, consistency, and Radeyah is often just as good if not better than Shupe: Knight in terms of raw value
@@ashikjaman1940 I Just find it weird that People are actively trying to increase consistensy in a highlander (inherently highroll-ly deck) instead of increasing the chance for highroll (which one can do by putting more of Shupe-like cards in there).
