    Hello Ivan, first thank you for what you give us, you toolbars and templates are already some essentials for me!
    Do you know how to create a macro able to add a new instrument track with a precise instrument already loaded on it (like adding instrument track with serum in one click) thank you my man 👌

    Question -- do you have to quantize it? What if you like that neosoul/lo-fi back beat ridden beats? I feel like certain genres have music that falls slightly imperfectly on time .... but just curious if you 'd still recommend quantizing it for that too!

    Hey Ivan. I have S1 v6.5 and i have the same issue with the notes not landing where they should. Never noticed that... that's sad that that was missed in the quality checking by the coders. It's these kinds of snafus that drive me crazy... and there's a LOT more of them than just this too btw. Presonus needs to step up their game man.

    • @ImIvanCalderon
      @ImIvanCalderon  3 місяці тому +1

      Yeah, I don't know what is going on, but I'm going to submit a support ticket. Usually, PreSonus is good about addressing these kinds of issues, so let's cross our fingers.

    Yo Ivan, when I'm recording vocals, I have to turn off monitoring or I have a delay with the vocals. If I turn monitoring off, there's no delay but I end up with a quiet recording. Any idea why this is happening?

    • @ImIvanCalderon
      @ImIvanCalderon  3 місяці тому

      If your interface supports it, make sure to turn on its zero or low latency mode. That should help with latency. If it does not have that feature, I would increase the device block size. Studio One>Preferences>Audio Setup>Device Block Size. Experiment with different block sizes here to see what works best.

    How did expand the piano

    • @zcubedmusic
      @zcubedmusic 4 місяці тому +1

      if you are talking about making the piano roll area bigger you can just drag up from the top of that section, if you want the keys to be "thicker" you can hold ctrl+mouse scroll. Ctrl+Shift+Scroll will make the section longer width-wise too. this works in your main working area as well for zooming

    • @ImIvanCalderon
      @ImIvanCalderon  3 місяці тому +1

      @zcubedmusic nailed it! 👍🏽 For Mac users the CTRL equivalent is the command key.

    I use AI to generate chord progressions 😂. I just select key, bpm and hit generate over and over till i get something interesting. Saves tons of time.

      What’s the program called

  • @_Patrick_H

    Just use the chord track ua-cam.com/video/wSFKyiF3gwo/v-deo.html

    • @ImIvanCalderon
      @ImIvanCalderon  3 місяці тому

      I love that chord track feature! The only problem there is that although the chord track lets you create any chord, a beginner might not know what chords fall under what scale. The method/macros I showed here provide “guide rails,” so to speak, by letting you choose a scale and then populate all of its chords for you. It also helps you visually see the chords laid out in order, which can help with building progressions. Nonetheless, the tools are there, and Studio One makes it super easy to create music 🙌🏽
