Good to hear from you Rick.... and thanks for the Christmas Greeting... Dr. Paula and I trust that you and yours will enjoy a Merry Christmas too. Dr. Russ
I got one thing to say ole buddy "EXCELLENT"... This was a very interesting view on air sources and of course your usual good sense of humor and the gift of gab, lol, its a good thing especially making videos where you need a good dialog. Ive been a subscriber for quite some time and watched the channel grow and by golly you deserve it my friend. Its always interesting to view. Thank you and Dr Paula for what you do God Bless you both.
Psycho ... it is good to hear from you again ... and thanks for the compliment. This is our 5th year and compliments like yours is all that comes my way. We have some good videos planned for this year.... hope you enjoy ... Dr. Russ
Thanks for sharing all your knowledge Dr. , I like hand pumps also helps you keep healthy and helps to not waste too many shots , when you need to put effort to recharge you make sure to make the shots count . Merry christmas Dr.
I know this is off topic, but I just wanted to share something I recently found that’s especially applicable to the more financially light of us in the hobby, and the community on these videos is always great! Some of the more expensive springer air guns have delrin rings on the piston to reduce friction and make the rifle smoother and cause less ware on the cylinder Most however are just steel on steel or steel on aluminium. Next time you have your rifle apart for cleaning take a look at the piston surface finish, if it’s nice and polished no worries, but if not take some polishing compound and get it as smooth as possible. It won’t be as good as getting the middle turned down or getting delrin rings installed but for the cost of a little elbow grease and some various polishing compounds you can make your air gun shoot so much smoother and in theory anyway that reduced friction should help the cylinder last longer especially if it’s aluminium like the old webleys
Sir great video as always i have been with your channel for the past 1and a half years i was a troubled mind you helped me through your videos realising some things became a better person and i continue to grow healthy as a person so once more thank you for everything sir o hope you have a fantastic year ahead and wish you health and peace
Beastmode ... thanks for sharing. it is always good to hear from a viewer who found some important aspect of air guns ... or a wisdom story from my own life ... that they found important to make a part of theirs. Everyone suffers from some level of troubled minds ... even my own.... Thanks again for sharing. Often a friends input can put us back on track. Dr. Russ
Hey Dr. Russ, have you done a Gamo Swarm Gen3i review yet? Saw your video guessing what they would be like. Trying to determine which generation will fit my needs.
George ... good to hear from you again ... and glad to hear that your electric compressor is working well. Don't forget to check and change that air/moisture filter from time to time. Dr. Russ
Elmer ... it is good to hear from you. Our producer is about to launch our next video #133 on Monday. Yes, we have had some weather issues, much as all Americans have, preventing some outdoor videos that we had planned. We have also had two litters of puppies over the past 30 days.... and yes, a few health issues too. Hopefully, we have some control over our health issues and I believe those are solved. Thanks for inquiring... We have some great videos planned for this new year... Dr. Russ
Well hello there Sunshine, check out the new Umarex Notos carbine .22 it's about 4 lbs same as a fat sandwich & a pce of pumpkin pie.😉 On a serious note are you doing OK?? (Rewatch your own vid) Take care God bless & last but not least MERRY CHRISTMAS my Michigan Friend.☮️
Yukon Jack ... it is good to hear from you friend...;. I have been checking out the new Umarex Notos ... and it is on my wish list. Excellent air gun for the money....Currently cant find it on a refurbished basis yet.... I guess it hasnt been out long enough.... or is a perfect gun. We trust you and yours have a Merry and a safe Christmas ... DR. Russ..
Dear Side of Sandy Sue ...good to hear from you again. I don't have an air shotgun yet, but I do have a box of shot shells that I plan to use soon in one of my air guns. The larger the caliber for pellets ... the better... but they still do considerably less than a traditional powder shot gun....Dr. Russ
Hello I’m very new to this sport of modern air rifles . I’m an avid hunter and shooter. I’ve always been a huge fan of accurate rifles.! What would you recommend for the most accurate and quietest air rifle to get into right now? Looking at .22 or .25 cal
Jerry... it is good to hear from you. When aluminum or carbon fiber tanks reach 20 years old and no longer refillable, your choices include tossing them and keeping the valve and cable that is mounted on their tops. This saves you about a hundred dollars. The other choice is to ultimately get a larger compressor and continue to refill them yourself. Understand that this is dangerous. I have not had to do that yet, but in the future, if I do, I plan to fill them at a lesser air pressure than originally. For example, 1500 fps versus 2000 fps. Again this is dangerous and I have not done it yet to qualify that statement. Dr. Russ
@@russjones6497 look inside (with a endoscoop ) if you see aluminium rot in a carbonfiber or aluminium bottle get rid of it. that can a happen after a few years a carbon does also have a thin alu bottle inside , the carbon is used to get the strenght
Hi Dr Russ! I love your videos. I just purchased a Gamo swarm and I am excited to get involved in air guns. I have spent some time on air gun forums and the Weihrauch brand seems to be praised as a quality piece, although pricey for my beginner budget. I can’t seem to find any Weihrauch reviews on your channel, wondering about your thoughts considering the huge praise I’ve seen on air gun forums and such. Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas Matt ... its early Christmas Morning here in Michigan ... no white Christmas here ... just thick fog. Thanks for writing and we wish you well with your new passion in air guns. Air Gun Passion covers a wide area over brands and types of shooting. This passion covers everything from simple plinking, target practicing, competition, small critters, medium size critters, game, large game hunting and even serious self defense. We just entered our fifth year and while we started with inexpensive air guns, multi pumps, break barrels, and PCPs, and this month, we are covering pistols. I dont own a Weihrauch but I have a friend who owns one with a pump. Yes, they are expensive and they use to be used extensively for competition, especially in Europe. Parts and maintenance are a little harder to find. However, FX and Daystate seem to be leaders in competition today. One day I will probably borrow my friends, and do a video on Weihrauch, but there is little demand for it right now. Again, Merry Christmas to you and yours ... Dr. Russ
Darin ... it is good to hear from you .... we have some good videos coming ... just returned from the "Shot Show" and will cover that in our 2024 videos.... Dr. Russ
