Birds Chase Grain Train, Train Knocks Down The B&O Signal, Steel Coils & Indiana & Ohio On Bridge

- Trains Crossing The Big Bridge Under Baltimore And Ohio Railroad Signals, Birds Surrounding Grain Train With Locomotives Running Long Hood Forward, Single Indiana & Ohio Railway Locomotive Pulls Train Up Grade With Horn Salute For Maintenance Of Way Crew On Bridge. Includes CSX & Norfolk Southern Trains. Steel Coils Train With DPU Crosses Mill Creek Bridge. These trains are in Cincinnati, Ohio in the Winton Place area.
All kinds of awesome trains in this special spring video. The L&N Heritage Unit is also in this video coming across the bridge. There are all kinds of locomotive paint schemes in this video. Which locomotive is your favourite? Notice the trains that are running their locomotives long hood forward in this video. It seems like it would be a little more difficult to see like that. What do you think?
Railroad maintenance of way crews are working on the bridge while the trains are passing. Each time that a train passes they blow their horn for the crews. I know it looks like train horn salutes but it is just to alert the crews to watch out for the passing trains.
Listen to the 4 locomotives working hard as they pass me at 27:10 and watch as the old signals drop when the train passes. By now everyone should know what "knocking down the signals" mean. For those who don't know it just means that the signals change from green to red as the train passes or they just go from green to off as in this video.
Correction: The steel coils train is known as Train 375 when it gets back onto its own track. That train runs from Middletown, Ohio to Cliffs Steel Corporation in Rockport, Indiana. It had the "Z" number when it was on CSX. The northbound empty counterpart is Train 376 when on NS.
The day that I filmed this it was in the 40s Fahrenheit and gloomy. The signals actually show up better like this so that was a good thing since I wanted to show the signals. Rumours are that the signals are going to be replaced sometime soon.
Don't miss the Live Action Pets near the end of the video and the special slide show.
Filmed Wednesday, March 27, 2024 in 1080p with 60fps. Thanks for watching!

I really like your videosThanks!
Glad you like them! Thanks for your support! I just activated that last night. Today I caught a big rock train on the CCET and hopefully that video will be up tomorrow morning
I remember seeing bnsf 7575 in the galesburg illinois classification yard, I drive a yard van out there for halcon 2014-2015, now living near Hillsboro ohio, not far from Cincy!
Great video, Jaw Tooth, have an awesome weekend, my friend.
Thanks for watching 😊
So cool. Awesome video Mr JT. Enjoyed this video and your sweet fur babies. Made our day and..will watch again on Roku TV. ❤😊 Love hearing your salute toots. ❤
@beulapowell1478 i have fur babies too
Can’t even get through the first train without commenting … unusual to see them running longhood forward, tough on the engineer, but especially love when there’s a rail joint there to hear the ol’ clickety-clack sound that is all but gone on Class One railroads. Thanks again JT, well done.
When I work for the railroad in 77 the Illinois Terminal out of Decatur I seen an n&w engine with two control centers when was the regular looking out the short Hood forward and then one on the other side looking out the front towards the long Hood so it wasn't a strain on the engineer he had controls in the proper location short or long
Thanks for watching 😊
For the first train, looked like the birds were enjoying that rolling buffet! Loved the old B&O signals, medium approach medium on the track 2.
Glad you enjoyed it
For some reason, I love seeing big BNSF locos, it must be the acronym denoting such an awesome name. Cool video and thanks Jaw Tooth.
BNSF is Burlington Northern Santa Fe
@@dsmith9964 Absolutely it is and I just love that name! Has a great sound to it. Thanks D. Smith, have a great day.
Thanks for watching 😊
Amazing video JT awesome have a great day from Scotland 😊
Thanks Brian and have a great day also
@@JawTooth Your welcome JT always makes my day watching your videos and thanks too😊👍
Fantastic video JT! Great shots of some awesome catches! Have a good weekend my friend!
🚂🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃💯👍🇺🇸
Thanks! You too!
Live action pets are just as good as the trains…..you rock…..
Thanks Jon!
I love this one! The signals are great to see. Wonderful trains and MOW equipment. Extra nice variety of trains and cargo. Thank you JT. ❤
Thank you very much!
excellent video jawtooth! love the variety of the trains in the video!
Thank you very much!
Have a good weekend Brian, awesome video with a cup of coffee.
Thanks Bill and have a great weekend also!
Trains,Trains,Trains........ Great video Brian.
Thank you very much!
Good morning I enjoyed that video👍👍
Thanks 👍
Another great morning of trains from Ohio with the grain train cars and
hungry birds all over them, more CSX and Norfolk Southern trains,DPU'S,
the B&O signals, steel coils, but wait there's more there is the awesome
live action pets with Chessie, Loki, Brandi & Norfy, the train slide show
and as always Thank You Jaw Tooth.🇺🇲🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🇺🇲
Wow! Excellent catching all the trains at the Canal Ridge in Cincinnati, Ohio, I like them, they're awesome, @JawTooth, Brian, thank you very much.
nice stuff
Love those NS "hammerheads" in the opening sequence... (long hoods forward).
Hi, Jaw!
Cool 😎 Show lots of action ❤them 🐕🐶 and someone's missing!
There's Kitty.thanks J.T.
Thanks for watching 😊
I see your at one of your favorite spots to shoot video of trains I like that spot
Great heritage catches awesome capture and nice video
Thank you very much!
Jaw Tooth ever thought of having Jaw Tooth merchandise....Like a Jaw Tooth t-shirt? I would buy one. That was a great video son...Thx.....
I'm early again. Good video, Brian
We had 2 long mixed freights, with the second being 149 +/- cars! It also had a cool 😎 L&N heritage unit in the second position. Great catches, JT!
Very cool!
Wow that was fantastic goodness always keep stepping and fetching 💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪
Thank you! Will do!
I think they should install a yard Masters tower for you the way they were moving about. All of the trains were great and we got to see two A that being the NS steel train which look like 39 cars and then the Short Line IORY with the numerous gondolas. One misses the SD40 but 4502 handled that cut of cars with ease. A fitting farewell to those signals and it's one of those items you know it's going to happen then suddenly they're gone. That's like there are only three old Searchlight signals left in Milwaukee on the CP and in the back of your mind they're on borrowed time. Had to love the Brandy stare down and the use of Leverage to capture the toy
Another super video, JT! I always enjoy your work and love seeing your pets. Keep doing what you're doing and you'll win an Oscar yet! I'll chat with you soon. 😊😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks Gary!
@@JawTooth You're quite welcome, ĴT.
You had a busy day at Canal Ridge. Some interesting lashups, too.. it's stinks to see the old stuff being phased out. All good things...... Thanks for the video Brian stay well roll on
You got that right!
Another great day for trains thanks sun 🚂🚃🚃
You bet
J.T. you spoil your subscribers with one great video after another. Thanks alot !
My pleasure!
START THE VIDEO SON 👍
Will do 😊
Hey jaw tooth cool trains.. Mixed freights and 2 unit trains . Autoracks and grain covered hoppers. A unit trains is all same cars carrimg same product. Those birds must be railfans. 😊😊😊. It be cool if you could get those B&O signals. I hate to see them go through. Have a great railroad day.🚂🙋♀️
If I was a bird I would live on that train lol
I enjoy all your videos trains are so cool keep up the great work ❤️👍
Nice long video with some great trains! It will be sad to see those old B&O signals go.
Thank you very much!
Excellent video JawTooth watch your videos everyday you upload and catch some incredible footage trains let’s get it rolling son
Thank you very much!
Awesome video I saw a weed sprayer CN train on Friday I had no idea they existed another railfan told me good catch at saperton in New Westminster BC my fav place for trains love the angels you pick in ur video s 😀 stay safe
Those lights should be put in a museum
Another awesome video JT, CSX L&N HU was a nice surprise, along with locomotives running LHF, and like u it’s sad to see those old B&O signals come down, film them while u can JT.
I want to get as much stuff like this as possible while it is still here. I know of a few more of them in northern Ohio
Wow you got all kinds of live action in this video Brian.
Thanks for watching Alan!
It seems those grain hoppers on the first train were recently loaded with some grain scattered on top turning that NS train into a mobile bird feeder. We don't often see "modern" road engines running "Hammerhead," long hood first. Visibility for the engineer must suck.
Lots of square wheels today.
Thanks Brian!
Merci beaucoup pour cette très belle vidéo ! 👍🙏
Terrific location! Lots of action. Thanks, Jaw Tooth.
Glad you enjoyed it
Nice catch. Amazing video
Thank you very much!
Right place, right time, son !
Thanks for watching!
Amazing videos Jaw Tooth keep up the good work
Thanks! Will do!
There have been lots of fairly short trains today, and the Z511 is no different. The thing is that the Z511 was full of coil steel! I can get excited about that, because I love steel trains!! 😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤
Interesting! I love those steel coil trains also
@@JawTooth Great minds think alike, JT!
But wait there's more as there always is. Love it.
Outstanding coverage brother ❤
Have a good day 😊
Great Catches
Great video JT. What a busy day over mill creek.
You got that right!
Awesome catch on the L&N heritage unit again Jawtooth! I've really been wanting to see that one but haven't caught it yet!👍
I have only seen it twice and both times I panned the leading locomotive lol
Looks like all those trains you were showing where Yard Clarence trains.
Seeing those old signals still in use is so cool. Thank you for showing us them while there still there. Love seeing the steel coils 😊omg Brian hearing that engine work hard was awesome 👏 😊
Glad you enjoyed!
Great video as always did not hear a track detector
I don't think they have one near there
Mr JT u r a happy and positive person
Thanks!
What kind of camera do you use to film?
Must admit that from here in Scotland I do find BNSF the most appealing livery. Also find SD 70ACE the best looking loco (with the SD 40) . These two both have the best sound especially on start up. Maybe I just like a good 2 stroke locos. Just bought two Kato BNSF SD 70 ACE’s for my North American Layout.
And now to upset most of your viewers -- Canucks for the Stanley cup!😎
Thanks for the info! My wife likes that livery also. that is her favorite. Thanks for watching!
@@JawTooth I have a soft spot for EMD sound. Just wondered if you have ever listened to the sound of a British Deltic. Far from a two stroke but basically a naval engine afapted to locomotive.
Hey JawTooth
Great video
You be careful
Thank you, I will
Those birds mobbing the grainer remind me of videos I've seen of eagles mobbing fishing boats at Dutch Harbor Alaska. Cool long nose engines.
That would be cool to see. I want to go to Alaska
Me too. Shoestring loved Alaska for a lot of reasons. Boy you hit the jackpot today. Five trains so far and three long ones. Thank you for video.
.
I love the giant bird feeders! The birds probably thought it was YUUUUMMMMMMY!!!! 😂😂😂😂🐦🐦🐦🐦👍❤️📹😃
It was! They get on top of the cars and have a feast. I saw a huge bird do that in Kentucky on a moving train
Good morning Jaw Tooth
Hello there
Nicely done,,thanks for sharing,,😊
Thanks for watching
Nice Video
Woooowwww nice long hood forward locomotives!!!I wonder why the light signals becomes no light from solid green when the csx local pass to the signal
Good question! I hope someone can answer that because I want to know also
😅thanks for the nice video.have a nice weekend with the familie.😅greetz:🍐Peer.😅
Thank you! You too!
@@JawTooth 😅thanks.mine friend,you are welkom.👍👍👍👍❤
Well, JT you lucked up yesterday and caught a bunch of trains at Mill Creek but anyway, my friend another awesome video and as always you stay safe out there and watch your back and we’ll see you on the next one
And we had live action son. lol.
Thanks, you too!
Today I got a good rock train on the CCET. I hope to get that one up tomorrow
Nice to see every NA Class 1 RR designation on the autos of the 21:00 train. Thanks for sharing :)
Thanks for watching!
Nice long show.
Glad you enjoyed it
You're amazing Job.
Thank you!
Excellent video Son! It's the one channel you can watch the number of likes go up as you watch! Hail the Jaw Tooth show best entertainment I Say!! TU
Thanks for watching!
I bet engineers are not fond of long hood forward.they lose 50 percent or more of visibility! It is cool to see though! Nice video son!
That's spoung bob square pants
Good morning Jaw Tooth.
Hello there!
Nice signals , bit of history, gone soon..😊
Hi JT, my favourite loco was 4502, long hood forward the peach coloured one, sorry I don't know the name, it was pulling the mixed freight. I don't know how they see properly going that way its like going backwards blindfolded. Be a shame if those signals go. Hope you are feeling better today. Have a lovely weekend. ❤😊👍
That is an ex BNSF locomotive that Indiana & Ohio Railway is using. It has to be difficult to see like that but that looks pretty cool. Thanks for watching!
@@JawTooth thanks JT, yes it was very special beautiful loco. 👍
it's amazing of the old signal. I wish I could save it and preserve it!!
UN 1993 is Signals, railway track ,explosive
9:01 Indiana & Ohio train with a not yet lettered or painted Dash 9, they just took off the BNSF lettering.
It's Z511 because it's in CSX tracks.
Brandy always wins the tug contest 👍🏼
Yup, she is the dog and a strong one. Thanks for watching!
Two has got to do me today. I'm still battling the side effects from Covid and also a very horrible and insufferable injury from a bad reaction from one of the very few antibiotics left to try.
I'm fighting hard for you, Brian!
I am praying that you get better soon Harvey. Hang in there and get well soon. The doctors are pretty good nowadays.
Jaw tooth great video and history? When will you do a speed check again on the fast trains and see more farm tracktor s that was great the other day!!!
Not sure yet but I did film a couple trains with a speed check. I need to put the video together
Nice
Thanks
Thanks!
You bet! Thanks for your support Nancy! I really appreciate it and more videos are to come
@@JawTooth no problem JT. Happy to help.👍🏼
I really enjoy watching your videos. Watching freight moving by train is fascinating. I would be interested in hearing just how much total weight those trains are moving. I hope that information would be available. Thanks for sharing these videos.
I was looking for the birds chasing the train
yeah great video awesom🤠
Thanks 👍
10:23 Cadillac grainer. RIP, Shoestring.
I remember back in the 70's when they deregulated the railroads, i saw coal hoppers that were sooooo rusted they had splits in the sidese. they had stuffed straw in the splits so they would not spill out coal.
Great video!! Bet you get tired of hearing that, don't ya? ;^)
It will be certainly be a sad day for me when those lights are retired. I would so love to have one.
QUESTION:
Those steel coils - would you say they're about four feet wide and I'm calculating around six feet in diameter? (Going to model them in HO)
Thank you, Jaw Tooth, for all your work on these videos.
"With God as our guide, we are never lost"
Love watching your videos even on my birthday which I am still awake at 12:48 AM, I find it relaxing. Thank you for making these videos fun to watch. Wait there is more always is, start the video son.
62 Today May 11.
Awesome video JT, will you be going back to the bouncing bridge.👍
Yes I am! Sometime this month
@@JawTooth We will be watching👍👍👍
Shout out to Jaw tooth
that's an active track there id say for sure.
Yes, 3 railroad companies and Amtrak passes through 3 round trips a week
Amazing 👍
Thanks 😄
@@JawTooth You're welcome 👍
Approach medium for the BNSF like locomotive.
You should try and get one of the Baltimore and Ohio signal lights to try and preserve a piece of history.
CSX Z511, foreign line trains running on CSX track. Actually NS375.
Oh that looks like a safe area. :/
I recommend railfans come here with at least one other person. I go there a lot by myself but I keep my eyes open
U should come to Pennsylvania and get the Reading Blue Mountain & Northern Railroad on video
