Corel VideoStudio 2019 Fails to properly render MP4 files

I tried editing a file on my phone as well as a file I downloaded from the internet, and this is what happened. It looks the same after exporting. It seems like it's not reading keyframes properly. Shame. I was hoping it would work for me.

I was struggling with mp4 videos for 2 days. Then I uninstalled Video Studio and installed Adobe Premiere Pro and it works! PERFECTLY!

2019 has massive amount of bugs. hope they sort it out for 2020. meanwhile 2018 does me just fine 👍

Damn. I just downloaded a free version of 2019 and it's doing exactly the same thing. Junk!!
