The world needs to recognize how much is owed to this car.
According to the bonnet badge... it's a RANGE ROVFR
Very iffy shut lines too
@@matthewbriggs388 Rather true to form British Leyland look…..😷
@@matthewbriggs388 lol yea they are appalling. Where the bottom of the door meets the bottom sill has a huge gap and how in it.
Yeah, great attention to detail by the garage 🤔🤦🏽
I mean bow
This brought back really nice memories. Growing up we had a Tuscan blue one, ERB 316T, Erbie. My late father took us on many holidays to Lake Vrynwy and Cornwall, even with the overdrive he was convinced the petrol tank had a leak due to how it drank fuel. I would love one but the prices now are just silly, maybe one day I’ll win the lottery and be able to buy one.
What a garage! I could spend all day in there
It's an epic place! 😎
beautiful classic, range rover!
My dad had a brand-new one in the exact same year ,He then had another one year after in 1974 which he told me didn’t stop leaking.
Another Interesting fact.. the pre production Range Rover was known as... Velar.. I learned to drive in a 1990 manual 3.9 V8 RR Vogue.. Sticks in my mind to this day.. Want a restored one now. Great piece guys!!
When towing I used to get between 8-12 mpg. All those glasses, soup mugs etc that I collected from Shell garages!
I adore these cars. I’ve had one and miss it to this day. So lovely.
Same here, 5dr 3.9L Vogue.
Gas guzzling icon.
👌👍
@jay read why not buy one out of Arizona?
@@cornishrider there are some in Arizona?
A true ground breaking legend, awesome video boys!
Thanks!
Stunning views, great visual work!
Thanks, stay tuned for more. 👌👌
One of the best SUV ever built
The best car i have ever had..Mighty Range
I love how they both said "the best 240Z.... IN THE WORLD!" like Clarkson...
Ha, glad you loved that. 😁
Amazing content, this channel will blow up soon.
Glad you're enjoying the content stay tuned for more 👌👌
Max the young gun is really good, he owned that review
Classic shape.. Like it.
It looks great and you can see hints of this car in the new Range Rovers. 😁
Rear plate doesn’t swing and front e of Rover is broken.
Amazing restoration. Every nut and bolt
It's British car from the 70s. It could very well have come from the factory like that!
Also appeared to have rust on the door hinge too. Five year restoration? What, 1 day a month over 5 years maybe?
After a "5 year nut and bolt restoration" the managed to turn out a Range Rovfr. Impressive.
Yeah. Good stuff. More of that.
Thanks! More to come. 😎
You had to be a real wheel smith to hustle a Range Rover in the 70s & 80s both my Dad (83 Vouge) and his mate (76 3dr) were! When we drove past a petrol station my Dad would fake a swerve and say "look at that he's going for the pumps" He nick named ours (EFH 279Y) Chivers as it handled like a jelly! He replaced it with a TVR 350i.
This is my dream car 😍
Mine too!
My second to an Audi quattro
@@cornishrider What a garage that would be! 😍
Lets see that e12 or e28 in the backround there!
Engine built "to original specifications". Why? It would be very easy to improve upon that engine's reliability and power with a few modern touches, something the engineers back then would have done if the tech had been available.
Because the purists want original specs to keep it's value.
That maserati ss badge is probably a 38.78 pound ad on.haha
Maserati Muraq SS...
*AGRESSIVE CLARKSON FLASHBACKS*
one of my dream car, with diesel 😘
To be frank i think the RR was NOT the first SUV.
That title must go to the Jeep Wagoneer from 1965-onward.
For a fully restored car, the panel gaps on the doors is not good.
Is this an original 'feature'? The doors hang like the hinges are worn out.
It’s lovely and I’m sure it’s going for top money, however the devil’s in the detail so could do with a replacement E on the bonnet and the driver’s door is quite badly out of line.
But I am being picky and would love it.
The E is a good point...
The door however. It's probably as good as they could get it. This is a very early one, during a time when land rover were still making series land rovers... at the time they weren't known for precision assembly.
Which """NUMPTY""" fitted an Exhaust Clamp round the Tail Pipe ??????????????????????
Interesting how High Peak motors just done a piece on The Defender and get over 18k views and this pulls hardly any down to the thumbnail I bet 😉
Shut lines are appalling. Where the bottom of the door meets the bottom sill, it has a huge gap and bow in it. There's not a shut line that is straight on the whole car!
It actually looks like it's been a wreck where two cars have been joined together. The driver's door in particular is horrendous! Pretty dodgy looking 😬
The first version Range Rover are the best looking, with later versions the look only went more and more downhill...
Gas? Not diesel??
yep gas ( petrol ) 👍😁
130Bhp V8...
135bhp
Sells relatively cheap on auctions in Forza Horizon 4.
First! for a change
👌👌
@@lovecarsTV l love this sweet smart simple classic car 💓👍
It needs its doors adjusted. The position of the panels is shocking. If this took 5 years to complete its just a very poor finish overall.
Looks Waay Better than any of the bull shit useless over rated todays Range Rover
Doesn’t add up. As others have said the, the doors look wrong, the number plate is wrong, the badge is broken. Good review, bad car to review. I’d like to know whether it was deliberate. Seems too obvious to be shoddy workmanship. Should have mentioned it, would have been helpful.
Is it that great? It was important, but the engine was never that good. But hey each to their own I guess
