Please do more videos of classic cars. Are there any garages/companies restoring Ford Capri...? One my favorites. I still watch "the professionals " to watch Bodie drive the Capri. 😁😁 I know it sounds bonkers but I still enjoy it. In sure will many will love it too
My biggest regret...i refurbished one in my workshop, it was a last generation 2 door carburettor type. 5 speed, aircon, power steering, 3.8l. Did A FULL rebuild with a total stripdown, with the body off, etc etc. Rebuilt the engine with slight tweaks, every item on the powertain was stripped, checked, rebuilt as required. New headers, MUCH bettrer springs and shocks, 4 shock system at the rear- 1 gas, 1 oil, car cornered flat through bends. I left a guy with a brand new Landcruiser VX 4.6l petrol in the dust in a drag race, he wasn't amused..😂 So...am in the car industry. An English guy kept pestering me to sell it, i gave him what i thought was a ridiculous price...and he turns up with the money...in cash. From what i know, that car's back in the UK somewhere, the full rebuild was carried out in 🇰🇪 Kenya. I still regret selling it. These cars in the video look great!! After hearing the price of thr basic restoration price in the video, my client must have been laughing at me all the way to the bank!!! 😀😀😀😀
Great video! His company should do well. The car is so well liked, it’s nice that he just wants to improve what never was good in the first place. And I love how reserved the outcome is.
Stunning! I'd have this over a new RR everytime. Growing up in the 70's & 80's there was nothing else looked or sounded like it. Absolute design classic like a Rolex Submariner...
The cost actually seems reasonable. I’d take mine with the General Motors engine. Any LS would do. Not because they make more power, just because they’re quite reliable
Back in the 80's my Buddy and I had a little side business swapping out Jaguar Engines and replacing them with Chevy 350 cu in motors and transmission. The Owners were coming to us in drove because our engine swaps looked like they were done in the Factory. Plus they were made so reliable and performance was still good. Would love to swap in LS 1 and 2 engines now days. Brother and I are doing an LS1 swap into his 2 door 57 Chevy. I'm enoying my retirement and finally having time to work on my own junk without and customers named KAREN.......
They are the nicest people as well. Damon, Martin and the rest of the crew are proper, proper enthusiasts for all things RR and LR. I visited a few years ago and I wasn’t massively impressed, but a recent visit showed a gigantic improvement in the quality of everything going on at the Kingsley site. I was blown away and a KR is definitely on my bucket list now.
A wonderful endeavour from Kingsley (and select other companies). I'd have a 90's CSK restored and 'fettled' to keep it going another 20+ years ...that would be a great investment.
That white K plate is lovely. Nothing looks better than a 2 door. Simplicity and elegance defined. 👍🏻 Another timeless car I now thoroughly regret not buying when they were affordable. 🤦🏻♂️
Impressive restoration and with the work going in and compared with others, tasteful, elegant, effective, and worthwhile. Not a crazy power monster with bad taste, but by someone who seems to get Range Rovers, and their on-road life.
I really admire the amount of work that goes into these things, and you really feel the passion the company has for them. Personally, I think the original Range Rover is a bit of an ugly thing, but at least those who like them get to enjoy them.
A neighbour bought one of the very first Range Rovers on Launch day and being in the Diplomatic Service, drove it to work from the U.K. to Morocco. Sadly the gearbox died on the way but a garage in a French village managed to fix it. They arrived in Morocco and headed for the dunes but the transmission broke again and it was a real job to fix it so far away. Then a trip to the desert resulted in more failures and it narrowly escaped being dumped where it died. However it was patched up, made it back to the U.K.and after some words were exchanged, Land Rover gave him his money back! I remember it brand new parked outside our house and looking astonishing in Sandy beige…..his next car was a Mercedes 250…vastly better quality….but he missed the RR so bought another years later! He would have been a perfect customer for this car though!!😎😎😎
7:50 I think this is spot on, you're getting all the good bits you remember with the rubbish bits brought up to date. Am I going to get crucified for wondering if there is an electric version in the offing? :-)
Perhaps you might advise Land Rover how to make their current range reliable.the USA is the biggest market but they seem to love knocking these cars for unreliability . I personally love them .
Yup. Pedantic, but it's annoying to hear this, right!? 'Lease on life' also grates on me, especially coming from a Brit, although I'm aware it's perfectly acceptable really.
Normally a great presenter but, on this occasion, presented with some really misleading dialogue during some of the initial footage, suggests that the fabulous two door Kingsley Range Rover in which he is sitting, is deeply flawed.
Sadly the one word not mentioned unles i missed it was cost.. These cars cost more than an Aston or a second hand Porche or Bentley etc etc So it depends how much you love them and I love them but will never ever be able to afford one how sad is that !!
holy fuc** christ. This is car porn. Those Range are perfect. Quite, simple, confortable. It is a perfectly realized symphony. I could sell my soul to work in this workshop
Kingsley? Have you seen the video in Harry's Garage, tested about a year ago? For £170k it was a shocking attempt to extract the urine. Squeaks rattles, terrible finish in the interior, engine and transmission issues... I owned new Range Rovers from 1992 to 2016, LR series 2a and 3, and my all time favourite an 'enhanced' 1972 2 door, God I miss that car. I considered a Kingsley, then saw Harry's review. I'm still searching for another 2 door to restore, it will not be done by Kingsley.
These cars would be prime candidates for an EV conversion. Loads of space for batteries, original engine was not worth preserving, (honestly) the most off-road they'll see is a dirt driveway. Mind you Lunaz already does a Rangie classic EV, so they probably stuck with ICE because it's what they know and it's not directly competing with Lunaz.
Trigger, in Only Fools and Horses, once boasted that his beloved road sweeping broom, in 20 years, only had 17 new heads and 14 new handles. How much of the original Range Rover is actually left? I'm not complaining. But it seems the target customer is someone that likes the shape of old Range Rovers, but nothing else. Not that there is anything wrong with that. Myself, I would take a new one every time.
Love my 2009 L322 It becomes part of your being...you won't part with it eventhough you spent a Kings Ransome on fixing it.. And now with such a demand for the classics and short supply..it might just be going up in value But who cares..because you're not ever going to part with it
All restomodding should be done like this, respectfully and thoroughly.
We agree. Tasteful and subtle too
Agree. No electric conversion nonsense here.
@@MLC... Oh I don't mind that at all, if it's done tastefully and discreetly :-)
The Range Rover classic would always be my favorite car. Just love it!!!
What a cool guy that founder, his mindset, outlook and approach are remarkably similar to my very own. Love the product, love the ethos.
It's inspiring and reassuring isn't it?
Gosh! You must be a cool guy, too
Wow, now that’s a classic I wouldn’t mind driving around London
And there's ULEZ exempt versions by Kingsley too!
@@Carfection Classic's pre 1981 are already compliant :)
Recycling at it's best...and I'd have one of these over a new one any day of the week.
I like your perspective 👀 That's what I'll call it from now on
I visited Kingsley a few years ago and met the owner and some of the guys that work there. Amazing day and amazing vehicles.

Wow a classic restored car that doesn't cost 200k. Very reasonable price for a British Icon.

Where in Kenya did you get it done ! I’m in Kenya and I absolutely love this car I’m trying to get a Range Rover refurbished this way . Help me out

Unquestionably the best SUV design of all time. If it were my money, I'd spec the GM LS engine & transmission. The interior looks superb here.
The cost actually seems reasonable. I’d take mine with the General Motors engine. Any LS would do. Not because they make more power, just because they’re quite reliable

What a breath of fresh air.. thanks 🙏
Thank you! We try our best
It's simply the coolest Range Rover you can own.. Restomod Defenders and Range Rovers all day long!
Nice. I'd take one of this over a latest one without hesitation.
I love these. How much classier than the current Chelsea tractors? Kudos to Kingsley!
Some of the current Chelsea tractors are nice vehicles but there is just something magical about class Range Rover.
Great video guys. Really liked the owners honesty too.👍
Us too. Glad you enjoyed it

Awesome video!! Also nice BREW watch! 👌
timeless
Polar bear cool.
Saw the white one on the A4 yesterday, looks fantastic.
Do they still maintain their axel articulation for going off-road? (Wondering as he said about them now being road cars.)
Very cool & impressive work being done, Rj in Oz
What a lovely video, thank you :D
All the screw heads are beautifully lined up. I’d expect nothing less.
That is a great indicator. Good spot
V8 is psychologically Soothing and leaves you feeling Upbeat !!
Thank you, guys! 4.6 Most of all, I hope they will make the Classic 5-door long 3:32.
Who restored the Royal Range Rover Classic?
Fantastic! Now do the same for the Matra Rancho.
Really nice >>>>> Thank you

Iconic silhouette and classless style
Great Video. Thanks :).
what a lovely idea.
I haven’t watched the whole video yet but I’m ready for a ludicrous price tag.
Love the T Shirt Damon !!!!!!!!!!!!
Are they for sale ??

Great video, one of these in Bahama Gold in the fantasy garage I think 👌
Phenomenal job guys..
There r RR for millionaires..
Then these RR for true enthusiasts.
Helps to be a millionaire for one of these too 😔

I want one just so I can feel like a Gangster or someone so important that they never need to rush to be anywhere.
Going to be filming my brothers own Classic Range Rover very soon on my channel. 😎
Holy Wallace and Gromit @2:20
Awesome job.
I just wonder if current Range Rovers will worth the rescue, given the hundreds of problems they do show you, as (not much)time goes by.
Imagine having this, an Eagle E-type and a singer 911 in your garage.
Now that’s a garage I would love to own!
Wow! Money no object, I’d rather have one of these than the new ones.
How would you specify it?
Yes please.
Id take this ... a 3 door.. in yellow like layer cake...with the ls3
any companies that do this for the p38 rr?
Thought they’d all been burned at the stake.
If I won the lottery , I'd definitely be knocking on their door . They are stunning 😍.
