What a testament of honda engines of this era. My element been my daily driver for 20 years and at 388956 miles still going strong.
You mean a testament to the person who maintained it well.
@@plowe6751 Both, right?
I have 550,000 km on my 2006 Honda element up here in Canada regularly maintained just had a second valve adjustment last year.
Thank you for the video. And congrats on how clean your engine is! You’re exactly the type of person I want to buy a used car from!!
looks flawless
So surprised on how it looked
Good job Danny. Nice & clean.
appreciate you watching
These K series engines are bulletproof like Fort Knox
Better to check the cylinder walls for wear to determine the condition of the cylinders. I didn't see this done in the video, unfortunately.
Didn’t realize I edited that portion out, but yes a complete 5 minute inspection per cylinder was done, cylinder walls perfect, appreciate you pointing that out and watching the video
That's an extremely clean combustion chamber. You'd probably have said, but I wonder if you use any kind of cleaner? I've gone back and forth on that question over the years.
We happen to have three cars with these engines in our family including one son with an Element. What's impressive is they don't seem to care about mileage at all, even with 200k+ they run smooth and quiet like a new engine, but of course maintenance is critical even with these.
never used any cleaners or additives, the gas has additives in it and thats probably why its so clean, also keep up on the oil changes and replace your a PCV valve, I have a video on this
Nice! Thank you
How often do you do oil changes?
Every time the maintenance light comes on 4 to 5k with synthetic oil
Valvoline Advanced Full Synthetic SAE 5W-20 Motor Oil 5 QT

What Brand and Grade of Fuel, and what Oil do you use?
Valvoline Advanced Full Synthetic SAE 5W-20 Motor Oil 5 QT
How do you keep your engine insides so clean? Highway driving only?
normal driving, never used any cleaners or additives, the gas has additives in it and thats probably why its so clean, also keep up on the oil changes and replace your a PCV valve, I have a video on this
Do you use a fuel injector cleaner, if so how often?
No fuel injection cleaner, no additive to the tank and no de carbon procedures
What’s in there
Nooo! You changed the intro!!!
Wow, you noticed, just thought I would try to change it up
My 2003 Honda CR-V has 200k miles and it’s burning coolant.
bummer
