    This one took a bit. A lot of edits and specific game play for this one. A lot of comments in my live game plays ask me how I do it. This is what I am doing and I hope it helped. Thank you for watching

      Great video coolguy! It blows mind how long you have been making by far superior content then other "how to get good in the crucible" videos. I always appreciate your ability to broach the slippery and nuanced topics that are much more integral to understanding how destiny pvp works all while maintaining the upmost professionalism, good sportsmanship and always having a positive attitude. Everytime I check out a new video and like it and share it and watch it to the end without Adblock, my mind is absolutely blown that your channel hasn't taken on 10-20k more subscribers. The quality of your content is deserving of much more traffic and if anyone is reading this, just share it with someone who plays destiny because not to be all up on coolguys dick but he should be up there with true vanguard and mtashed as far as UA-cam success. Hang in there and destiny 2 I think will be a great chance for you to finally get that breakthrough I so desperately believe you deserve. Side note, I was very happy to hear you featured on the planet destiny podcast! You should be on there more often to help get your name out there, I've seen your videos featured on their channel for a long time and I really would like to hear more of you on the planet destiny podcast as well as the destiny community podcast. I mean come on you are an ancient destiny legend... The coolguy suros trick...that is legendary. K I'll stop being a but ridiculous but I do want to see you push yourself as far a promoting a bit more because I actually get a bit angry when I don't see at least 20k views for your videos and honesty lot more then that. Love you cool guy, you are always a breath of fresh air and I always learn something new in a game I've been playing for 3 years, even if sometimes it's something I only kinda knew in the back of my head but it really helps when you so concisely put it into clear English!

    hey cool guy you're so wonderful to watch, and that's a statement that encompasses all of your videos and I may not be the most vocal watcher. but with you and your content I try to comment whenever I remember to because you deserve so much more uh..dare I say PRAISE! your videos are clear and insightful and I'm glad to have at least you and cammy to voice my opinions of the crucible and how to better it so aptly.
    And lastly thank you so much for keeping a strong sence of sportsmanship, and a good sence humor all the while

    I'm usually fairly decent at crucible in terms of gunskill and the like (definitely not the best, but not bad either) but this is the part i always have trouble with. I've never been good at keeping a mental note of spawns and enemy movement very well, and it gets me killed a lot. this video is a huge help. i love the way you explain things, it's always so helpful. I'll keep these tips in mind next time i jump into a crucible match. i appreciate this video, as well as all your other videos. keep up the great work!

    It's funny, I've been playing fps's for years so I just learned this sub-consciously from constant play. I never went out to seek this knowledge. But seeing a video explaining is really interesting. I always forget stuff like this doesn't come naturally to some people. This video did a great job explaining everything. Couldn't have said it better myself.

    coolguy, you so make the absolute best videos, seriously! I subcribe to a vary large number of destiny youtubers, but honestly I rarely comment, if I were to some up your content, or rather give your video creation a blurb defining it, it would definitely be "quality over quantity". A++

    I love this, because I feel having played 1st person shooters for such a long time or any multiplayer game with team based matchmaking you begin to understand where the other team is going to spawn based off of just time invested in Video games. Being able to take that invested time and rework it into a descriptive knowledgeable video for any player to understand is a huge help not only for more experienced players, but also casual players as well. For instance i only have a general knowledge of spawns and have never really thought of going into destiny or any game for that matter and applying what you talk about in this video to how I play. Its exciting because by doing this I can keep myself even more so out of auto-pilot mode and become a better player and so can other people if they choose to apply it to their game as well! So....YAY!
    TLDR~This is good stuff Y'all!!!! Apply it!!!!APPLY IT RIGHT MEOW!
    P.S. I had the biggest grin on my face (according to wifey) when I saw my Gamertag in one of your videos! That made my week!

    I think I got it.. but to be honest I didn't understand 7:30-7:45 about the team deaths and 50/50 or line of sight is it just to predict and decide what to do with that information? Or are you implying that teamflow or push should shift that way?

    • @CoolGuyGames
      @CoolGuyGames  8 років тому +1

      The death icon is used for enemy position. Basically, using that to get an angle or odd look at where your teammate died. Coming to it believing there will be enemies there or close. The 50/50 chance is just that. He either got beat down there. Or he got killed from the players coming from that spawn. In that specific clip, my team has a very strong presence on the right side. I can assume that my team is "handling" the right side.. The teamamte that that died up there more than likely died from straight ahead or to left ( from the spawns back there). As I am jumping up and I am on top of the building, I am subtlety checking to see if enemy players are on the left of my radar. With those 2 things.Right team presence and I don't see players to my immediate left, they must be coming from there. Once I get there, there are indeed enemies on my right, but by the time I fall down, my teams strong presence killed them. I killed a couple coming from where I thought they were coming from. Hope that explained it better, if not let me know and we can talk through it more.

      @cOcInternationalXThanatos 8 років тому

    So, where's the mid line for Cross road?

    • @Hm0ngLauj
      @Hm0ngLauj 8 років тому +2

      Think of capture points A, B, C as a triangle with B being the top point. Slice that triangle in half separating A and C. Mid line is from B capture point all the way to inside warp portal near the inside heavy ammo. If you think about it, both A and C have portals and lifts in nearly symmetrical spots. Only thing about crossroads is that you can move from A side to C side fairly quickly through the use of portals. Hope that helps

    Sad part is most players will call this camping because at times you don't move around much. I try to explain this kind of stuff to some friends that aren't as good and they call it camping or cheating. Lol! It's frustrating when you try to help but so many players just wanna rush around like a crazy person.

    • @CoolGuyGames
      @CoolGuyGames  8 років тому +4

      Depends. I played a top streamer back in the jug meta in trials. Beat him 5-0. I got about 50 xbox messages. Over half were saying gg to me. Or "hshs coolguy, they got whooped". The others were saying " SO PASSIVE". But here is the deal. Their team was all going jug shotty. After the game I checked, and they had 2 primary kills the entire match between them. That was their plan. To jug shotty. So, our team just let them rush on in. Naded. Primaried. Team shot. Crushed them. Being smart is key man. You play to your opponent. Make them play your game. Don't play theirs

    • @CoolGuyGames

      Not to mention. Destiny plays like destiny if that makes any sense. Fast paced. Halo etc was nothing like that. People get irritated if you don't go head on with them 100mph.

    • @DuckButter81
      @DuckButter81 8 років тому

      CoolGuy i agree 100%! My friends i run with always give me a hard time because i play so passive and with thought. They tell me my k/d is only good because i hang back instead of rushing 24/7. I just shake my head and laugh as they die repeatedly trying to brute force their way in. ;-)

      Some maps are coded wrong. The main one being blind watch. It is nearly impossible to switch the spawns. Also, thinks like getting golden gunned then spawn in, only to get golden gunned again by the same guy happens, very infrequent, but does happen

    Why CG, why are you using bloom and not embrace the void

    • @CoolGuyGames
      @CoolGuyGames  8 років тому

      I am a fan of bloom tbh. I do switch them though. Lots of grouped up players in supremacy. I like it for small maps with axion bolts. In skyline trials, it played kind of slow and players were together. I probably had over 10 bloom kill just from the axion.

    Using the phrase 'critical thinking' to describe what is at most an abuse of spawn rotation made me chuckle... It is a video game and you are not at any point doing critical thinking!
