  • DIY Project How To Setup A Water Guttering
We have finally gotten our shed guttering fitted and we are so excited for this. Our DIY project I will show you how to setup a water guttering and more to follow.. We are growing our own vegetables in the garden which means we will need to have a good supply of water for those dry months or in a hose pipe ban.
This project is relatively easy however you would benefit from having two people when installing the gutter which would speed things up.
I will do another video of me installing the water butt in order to complete the project. The next big challenge will be installing the guttering on the greenhouse.

Excellent way to save water and make your plants happy. I'm so jealous. I know my time will come. Thank you as always for the videos.

      Thank You P 😊
It really is a good way to go. Back in Jamaica this kind of practice is standard. The water is recycled more ethically and it's so coat effective.
I'm sure the plants will love it too, just as God intended it.
Don't worry mate, I'm sure your day will come. Who knows we may have to take a trip to yours and lens a hand 😉
I pray you will find a great project soon to make into your home 🏡
The weather was lovely yesterday but today it's wet wet wet 💦🌧️
Seems like a spring cleaning and indoors kinda day. Will pop to the greenhouse later to report some plants

Thanks for the suggestion to contact a roofer! Brilliant and keeps it out of the landfill!! We got 2 free rain barrels from our county extension office and have been trying to figure out a way to do it inexpensively!

@@FamishedFarm Is lovely to hear from you. You've made my day with your comments. So glad that you found my video helpful. It's amazing what you can get for free with a better patience and know-how. I love your garden by the way, got loads going on which is awesome. I wish shed has been a godsend. We use it storing garden items and we've even dried clothes in it a few times when the rain came unexpectedly lol. The cutters and water container has also been a blessing throughout this summer. This was definitely a worthwhile project.

We would love to have your shed, but, no budget, so going to build a lean-to type shed this fall/winter! I look forward to more videos!

@@FamishedFarm I totally understand. It took me almost 4 years since living here to save up enough for a shed. We thought about getting a secondhand one to save money. However I wanted something that would last for many years to come. The shed is a very good quality one so it should last A long time in the elements.
Lean-to sounds great and it's a good way to store items. I may well do this on one of our outbuildings because we're thinking about converting our garage into a living space. This will take away from our huge storage capacity. The kids bikes and all the stuff that we accumulate will need somewhere else to live.
I hope that your project goes well 😉🙌🏾

Brilliant idea of the guttering to collect rain water for gardening use. Such a shame you couldn’t get some free bamboo here. I could have taken back a whole bamboo tree from Cornwall for you back in January while I was there 🤣🤣

      Hahahaha 🤣
Yes Bamboo would have been epic 😅
I must say it's nice to finally have guttering so I can collect water and also protect the shed. The greenhouse is next as the plants are growing nicely ☺️

      Hey DaSt
Thanks for your comment. You know what. I was looking Into barrels 😅. I was trying to get one for free but no luck. I have found some water butts complete with connection kit and a water spout for the same price of a barrel. It also comes with a stand 😀
I decided to get that inserted as it will save me time and it looks aesthetically pleasing 😅
The only upside to the barrel is a bigger capacity but I'm happy with the dice of the water butts. 210 litres for £27 in a very good sale 🙌🏾
We are getting so much rain at the moment 😅
I need to edit my next videos of me installing the water butts. Watch the space 😎
      Are you doing something similar?

      Hiya
Good to hear from you. You are absolutely right. It's literally free water 💦 what's not to love. The plants will love it even more. We are all doing well thank you. The girls are happy and growing and Sapphire back is much improved thank God 🙏🏾
I'm, well you can probably see from the videos. I'm in my element 😂
      How are you doing?
