Nice to see this vid'. My daughter lived in Westley Place, Trecwn. (old MOD houses I believe) & this depot was at the bottom of the road. Often walked down & tried to get a look inside, never managed it though. The google earth pic's of the depot was what interested me. Thanks for the great vid.
i went to army depot a few years ago , near Salisbury .... awsome narrow-gauge locos etc ... tunnels etc .. a nice woman told us to leave etc ... her gun also asked us ....
I've had a few walks around the site in recent years. Not a lot left now. All the magazines are sealed up. All the narrow gauge track has gone. The full size track reaches about half way into the site. Security are fairly active and on occasion I saw three matt green SUVs racing along the tracks, no idea what they were doing.
Very interesting Mike. I know there are plans to turn this site into a biomass power station using the existing mainline connection to bring trains in, but it has gone very quiet about it so maybe being reviewed.
In the late 70's when i was in the RAF i used to take munitions in to this place all the way from RAF Honington in Suffolk. It's very similar to RAF Chilmark.
Thanks for the video Mike this is very interesting to see. Some great comments too. Do you know what has happened to all the stock did they sell any on to narrow gauge railways!!😎🇬🇧🇺🇦

Rail in wales sounds wonderful
Very interesting place, lots of things to see very enjoyable.
If I remember correctly the 30 miles of 2'6" gauge track was made of copper. No wonder the place was kept secret. Thanks for the upload Mike.

Thanks for the update; I'm too far away in the Vale of Glamorgan ( keeping an eye on TfW at Barry Shed.)

My father and two brothers worked there, all involved with the railway
