Glad you did this. I doubt we ever make it there so glad to see it from your eyes! I don't add tartar sauce on mine, I do use malt vinegar some times. Glad you liked it! Spongie approved! Oh my! I swore I thought I was watching Braveheart! Did you have a cameo? :)
Hey there Spongie!!! Just checking out your channel and see where you are from Nova Scotia and in particular Pictou County!! Me too. I don't usually watch food or cooking vids but I want to support local channels so I subbed. Looking forward to watching you in action buddy!!!
Hey yeah Grampie I sure miss N.S and its good pizza and donairs and fresh sea food there is much of that out here. Yeah my videos are all over the place from restaurants to abandoned places to how to videos and reviews. And different places I've been to. That's for coming along I remember Darren Charron had mentioned about your channel and I never made it over to check it out. Pretty cool to hear you are from Pictou County too.
been to Scotland lots, their fish is great all over the place. where ever i went ti choose fish and chips. benny's in sterling is great also. i tried all of their pints on draft mostly ale. if you like the Beatles, i went to Liverpool for a couple of nights to all of the Beatle places and had a pint in every pub that had beatle in the name
One of the reason the fish is greasy. You see the whole reason for those holes in the racks 3:45 its so the grease can pass through when you take the fish out the pan but these guy covered it with grease proof paper.
I like lemon juice & malt vinegar on my fish & mustard with my chips. Great job bud!! I'm hungry!! Next, I think ya should find a nice pub & a stout!! Don't forget to bring us along too!!
@@MrSpongie1 doesn't necessarily mean the food should be too greasy even though its deep fried. Theres way around it if you are a good fryer and know what product to use.
@@MrSpongie1 you are right sir thats another reason other then the greaseproof pappers covering the racks. Fish should go in at rising 180 or a dropping 190 degrees. Its a pleasure mate, i live in glasgow and i love fish and chips.
Great review. Glad you like it. Awesome hat!!
Thanks for stopping By Abby and Keith... yeah I had to buy the hat!

Well how about that, I know Steve. Tell him I said hello!!!
Yup. Tartar sauce and soaked in malt vinegar.
They asked if I wanted vinegar but I didn't know if it would ruin my way of eating fish.
The batter looked nice.Cheers buddy.
Vinegar and brown sauce for me 👍
That looks great Spongie 😎. Great review!
LOL but it ain’t no Wataburger. Have you tried the haggis? My brother in law is from Scotland.

You know I didn't have fish&chips when I was in Scotland. I did have haggis, pizza which was killer, Chinese and a great curry.
