i really really liked lucy, i haven't watched the show per say but whenever i watch clips like these on youtube, the artists often don't think of the person as a human and the fact that the tattoo they do on the canvas is going to stay on them FOREVER, she takes that into consideration and works on a design a lot more.
The artists ALWAYS think of the canvas as a person, but the canvas also KNOWS they are getting a free tattoo in a competition, and they often make foolish, unreasonable demands of the artists because of their sense of entitlement. When a tattoo artist tells you "I can't give you the quality of tattoo you want in this amount of time" and you say "I don't care that's what I want", you get exactly what you deserve if it's janky. The artists are there to win and canvases that don't listen can cost them. If a canvas isn't happy with the design they are free to leave sans tattoo.
Wow, Lucy was being bullied by someone with those canvas picks! Idk if someone was choosing her or if fate itself was bullying her, but she didn't deserve all of that
I was cats canvas for the metallic episode - the skull picks are genuinely chosen by the artists. There’s no changing them around afterward. It’s also encouraged to stick with our guns with our ideas, but many of us cave and change the placement/idea. So the canvas that are firm on their decisions, that’s all them! Part of the competition
@@kylestephenson4824The producers encourage people to be “firm” just for drama on the show. And yet EVERY tattoo where the person would t listen to their artist look bad. The producers don’t care about he canvases.
@@animaanimus8011 it’s the canvas at the end of the day who decides what they want. So if a canvas is firm and won’t budge- that’s the canvas, not production. Literally speaking from lived experience 😆
I feel like a lot of Lucy’s canvases were just lowkey racist because her English isn’t as a fluid as a native English speaker’s. She’s an incredible artist and she deserved so so SO much better :(
Lucy’s first canvas was a pain but to be fair she definitely got a beautiful tattoo. Idk why she didn’t seem pleased with it, either that or she was in a lot of pain to answer it a different way idk, but I would be very happy with it. For Lucy having some pain in the ass canvases she did great tattoos. Also I didn’t think Trevor’s canvas was that bad. Idk what made them think she was.
Producers and judges need to step in when it comes to challenging and rude canvases these are free tattoos not ones they pay for and it’s a show like wtf
Did the canvases not understand what they were signing up for? It's a free tattoo. It's gonna hurt... obviously. The artist is putting their career and financial future on the line, and tons of canvases just complain or act like getting inked is the worst thing ever
I will never understand going on this show and throwing a childish tantrum because they have to do a specific type of tattoo. Like why are you surprised every time like you aint never seen this show.
jesus christ, i'm five minutes in and about to follow lucy purely for all the shit she put up with. i'd pay BIG BIG money to get a tattoo from her. so talented and so patient.
naah, tattoing there is not a problem. it just looks different than it would on a flat stomach, but its not a problem to tattoo. personally i love tattooed big bellies! :)
Lucy "I feel like Im tattooing on a water balloon" Savage! Because it looked like you were tattooing on a water balloon Heres what I have learned in trusting an artist to tattoo my skin I need to LISTEN to that artist and respect what they say is possible and what will look good and what wont...if I dont listen I dont have a right to get pissed
You know when you come on ink master as a canvas you are offering yourself to be tattooed for a challenge. They have to show creativity. If you know that’s not what you want then don’t come on the show.
Valid point for sure! But keep in mind it’s a reality tv show and they want suspense and drama., (I was cats canvas for metallic episode) On the application for human canvas- it asks you how you’ll respond to an artist asking you to move placement / change idea It’s more likely you’ll get a shot on the show if you’ll be difficult to work with the artist, or stick with your original concept
The canvas that Trevor had wasn’t being difficult but had a specific list of things she wanted in her tattoo. When she was having a lot of pain he asked her about just doing black and grey and she immediately changed it. Lucy on the other hand they kept going after with hard canvases that were more stubborn on placement and just a bunch of hard tattoos especially when it barely met challenge
Listening to the canvases butcher words like “katana” and “mandala” gave me the ick. They’re getting a tattoo of these but know so little they mispronounce it. Ugh.
I actually had to hold my breath for the linework of my rib tattoos(not the color, just the lines), because it tickled, and holding my breath was the only way not to laugh. My artist would take regular breaks, so that I could get my giggles out without messing up the ink. The color didn't tickle, but the linework did. Especially when the needle was buzzing against my bone. Or maybe it was just near, and felt like it was against the bone. I don't actually know the measurements on tattoo needles, nor do I know how far under the surface my ribs actually are. I just know it felt different directly over a rib than it did the rest of the way down my side. Same with my left wrist tat. When it buzzed over the boney parts, it tickled. Just the boney parts, though. Normal skin with more flesh between itself and bones feels like a normal tattoo. I've got a pretty high pain tolerance, so sitting still isn't really an issue, unless some part of me has lost circulation. It gets a little hard to properly hold position when you can't feel the limb you're using for that purpose
I'm just on the first one, i'm sorry, you got a lady who has lost a lot of weight and wants something she should NOT get. at least you did a great job.
I respect who has their face tattooed and I'd never bash them or anything, but I think getting a face tattoo is no-no. Head? Probably, but face? I mean, their choice, their body and we should never judge. But I can safely say I'd never do that....
Lucy pretty sure got racially targeted cause man what was up with that first canvas??? Don't you dare undermine my homegirl when the point was CREATIVITY. Cursive is not creative.
God I can’t stand a tattoo artist who has rules like “I don’t do face tattoos. They’ll ruin your life.” Like it’s not your face, let me do what I want with mine dude.
Lucy is so sweet dude, she’s all 3 amazing qualities: kind, humble, and talented. Those canvases didn’t appreciate her talent, kindness and genuine nature as a tattoo artist. I really like her & I’d love a tat from her, her experience on the show makes me sad overall but I love seeing her- she deserved better.

The majority of Lucy’s canvases that season were very rude and too demanding.
They underestimated her… she doesn’t look like she knows what she’s doing
She’s too passive
Lucy tattooed incredible designs on very awkward demanding and inflexible canvases.
Lucy seems so sweet she deserved better canvases
Poor Lucy her canvas’s were so rude !
"I feel like I'm tattooing on a water balloon 3:12" 😅😅😅
It looked like she was tattooing a water balloon, so that makes sense.

Lucy deserved better
I feel like a lot of Lucy’s canvases were just lowkey racist because her English isn’t as a fluid as a native English speaker’s. She’s an incredible artist and she deserved so so SO much better :(
Or, they could just be assholes. Why does everything, always
have to be racism? Maybe you're projecting.
I agree.
Lucy seems like such a nice person...a farcry from the earlier seasons tattoo artists who would yell at the canvases if they didn't play ball
The way the one lady said peonies pswissed me off
Poor Lucy!!
WHAT KIND OF HOLD DID LUCY HAVE ON THESE PEOPLE THAT THEY KEPT DOING THIS TOO HER

I love watching these when I'm bored lol.

Can’t even say peony correctly, y’all werent joking about Lucy’s canvases being ass
The other two canvases couldn’t pronounce “katana” or “mandala” either. They got tattoos of things they can’t even pronounce.
@ my brain has fully deleted the way that guy said katana absolutely horrendous
I feel bad for Lucy. For most clients she inked, she would have just been turned down and told to go somewhere else if they came to her shop lol
Did the canvases not understand what they were signing up for? It's a free tattoo. It's gonna hurt... obviously. The artist is putting their career and financial future on the line, and tons of canvases just complain or act like getting inked is the worst thing ever
I'm pretty sure that if they went 'Today you have to complete a single black dot' all the artists would be going OOOFFFFF OH NO.
They’re told to react that way by the producers.
@@animaanimus8011 I assumed that was the case, it just seems weird.
Half of these being Lucy's canvases is hilarious, honestly
I will never understand going on this show and throwing a childish tantrum because they have to do a specific type of tattoo. Like why are you surprised every time like you aint never seen this show.

When people pick a diffplace and then complain aboutht the pain it DRIVES ME CRAZY! Beware of what you ass for a$$!
Look, if you want something on your lower stomach, make sure your upper stomach isn't going to flop over your lower stomach and cover the tattoo up.
naah, tattoing there is not a problem. it just looks different than it would on a flat stomach, but its not a problem to tattoo. personally i love tattooed big bellies! :)
Ewwww
Lucy’s bee was amazing !! It was all very readable
Lol i know Lucy's lettering canvas. They had a total meltdown on Facebook about it after the show came out.
It takes a talented artist to be creative on two huge folds of skin. She sounds like a brat.
She seemed like a Karen
Poor Lucy
Lucy "I feel like Im tattooing on a water balloon"

@ i guess it’s good for ratings but just annoying to watch 🤣
Poor Lucy? Where did they find these people 🥲
Lucy ur the best ❤ she is a ink master

about time for that great reset to come to earth
These canvases talk a lot considering it’s a free tattoo
Listening to the canvases butcher words like “katana” and “mandala” gave me the ick. They’re getting a tattoo of these but know so little they mispronounce it. Ugh.
Lucy's canvases are not it.
15:47 ….. not anymore 🫣
Poor Lucy😭
These people look like a teenager's doodling pad.
bro came onto a video about tattoos to complain about tattoos
Damn I actually really liked Lucy's snake and skull tattoo is it just me?
Mandala feather ishhhhhh

I hate these selfish canvases. They want a free "good" tattoo and complain when it comes out bad. Screw you... pay for sessions and shut up.
13:49 tell me you voted blue without saying it...

“You must tattoo, stick figures”

“In color”
Artists : WTF !!! Are you serious?!?!? 🫢🫢😲😲😮😮😧😧
Lucy had karen canvases.
