  • Sound sample at 4:50 after a bit of a run down on my experience building this amazing kit. It was an absolute joy to build and the sound brings me to a time long ago. I’ll follow up with more videos once I’m able to do this beauty justice.

Nice job on that! I just recently got the 6string cello banjo kit and haven’t been able to put it down. Really impressed with these kits! Definitely looking at these minstrel kits now, got the fretless bug. Thanks for sharing!

Blimey! It's much bigger than I expected it to be. I didn't realise it was fretless either. Ahhhh .. I have just read up about 'Minstrel' Banjo's .. I understand a bit more now. I love, love, love the rustic look of it! I am not really that keen on the sound of a Banjo but actually I quite like the tone of that. It's quite mellow. Thank you for the sound sample. I can't wait to see how your skills develop playing it :) I love that you've called in 'Stinky' hahaha!

I’m glad you learned something new! I’ve always been interested in history and music and this instrument feels like I’m holding a piece of history in my hands. I have been listening to Rhiannon Giddens last two albums non stop for the last few weeks. I’ve always loved folk music that tells stories and she does it so well. If I can ever play even 1/10th as good as Rhiannon I’ll be over the moon 😂
