When Liz sang, "Ah-bububububububuuuu," I felt that.
😂💜
4:42 if you want to see Cocteau Twins.
Thank you. I don't mind Jools Holland, (and I love Squeeze), but doesn't he go on?!
Elizabeth is truly amazing I’ve always been and continue to be a huge fan of her amazing work.
Didn’t Mark E Smith have it specifically written into their agreement that he’d refrain from this if The Fall ever performed on his show
Seeing Seal's band, David Byrne and Cocteau Twins "jam" together during the opening skit is truly something to behold... The 90's were truly something else !
this is the best live version thanks for posting it
The one on Jay Leno is really good, too. I prefer Summerhead from Jools but it isn't on here.
She is spectacular.
Jools show had some decent bands on but he’d ruin it by wanting to play boogie woogie piano over everyone’s stuff
🤣👌🏻
Greath traditional band. Fantastic albums during the eighties. Elisabeth Fraser is a fantastic singer, just as the other ones.
Traditional? Huh? Bollocks
"Traditional" may be the least appropriate word I've ever heard used to describe Cocteau Twins.
Robin even made that intro transcendental...😁
Koukooboros mating" in high trees' the language of natures dance. Beautiful.
Q hermoso...
Fascinante y eternos.
Crazy how she can sing arpeggios like that.
Blimey, she really went off piste on this one.
I think she felt uncomfortable, when in a live studio event such as this, it can be hard to get the gear set up as you want. Sometimes it's difficult to hear yourself and it can be really difficult to get the nuance of the tune and you can start to panic. You could tell she was upset, but like a true pro she kept it together and carried on. The worst thing about this dilemma is the audience don't know about such things and blame you and think you can't sing anymore. It's impossible to sing well if you can't hear yourself.
@@Brain_JuiceShe could sing like an angel. Even if she were deaf.
But an interesting and valid comment.
Appreciated 😊
She still can. Check her latest work with Sun's Signature.
This is perfect
What a lineup !!! Incredible.
ethereal delights ..🙏
Wonderful and I want to see the David Byrne set as well😉👍
I posted it here a few weeks ago : ua-cam.com/video/SX6izkRYcTw/v-deo.html
I remember watching this and being horrified by Liz’s vocals… on reflection, it was more confused than anything else!
can you ever have enough guitars? Nah......by the way, the sound for this particular video is amazing
🖤
Cant quite hear her!
Only a myth an urban legend
How the hell Jools Holland sustains a career as a presenter, I'll never know!
He’s truly dreadful, isn’t he!
Are there any live performances of Cocteau Twins songs that Liz Frazier didn't just have a fuckin seizure at the microphone?
something wrong with her ear?
It is missing Summerhead... I appreciate the other stuff I've never seen but Summerhead is kind of important, ya know.
I suppose it's an edit I had to make so I could put the rest of the performance online. Probably Summerhead is available on Later's official site or sth.
Loved this show in the nineties but JH was a strange little man.
SQUEEZE WAX NOT IS THIS
This guy never shuts up!
If you truly love Liz, you can acknowledge that this exaggerated style isn’t good. At times I have wondered if she was sabatoging the band with this style because of how her and Robin’s relationship had deteriorated.
Liz did this style when I saw them live with a large group of CT junkies, and near everyone in the group was disappointed with the show ( Tulane show ). She was butchering the sound, it was hard to listen to.
The sound mixing is specially bad in this one, look at how Elizabeth holds her earphone because she can't hear herself
Agree re butchering - pity… it was a big event seeing them on TV in those days!
@@MrBrno All the dudes had their amps cranked and hers evidently not.
She mentioned getting tired of having to compete with their wall of sound.
@@rosskstar she was this way the whole tour, I believe Robin spoke about it on a podcast, she was trying a new vocal style. I believe he was none too happy about it.
@@MrBrno she always did that. Every time. Back then, in-ear technology was in its infancy. It was maybe 2 years old, tops, so a lot of sound people didn't know how to give a good mix, and the earpieces themselves were not super great.
Mudou muito da versão original, ficou horrível, parece uma cabra berrando
Qual o nome dessa música?
Liz is way too low in the mix. unacceptable for this show.
Fantastic music ,poor vocal ,too much intro taking .I loved Elizabeth Frazer only for CD but fantastic, miracle group.
Any other tour she sings far closer to the album. Unfortunately, this was the tour I saw them on. But it was ok.
Poor choice of song to showcase their talents.
