My parents meet thru penpal correspondence during WWII -4 years! During that time, he was only home 3-4 days and they spent the time together. They married just a few months after he came home.

Thank God is right they had FaceTime! Our courtship was long distance from The States to Venezuela. We had snail mail that sometimes got lost & phone calls that were super expensive and very very short.
My husband and I were married September 14, 1984 and our 3 1/2 year long distance courtship consisted of letter writing 1-2 times per week and 1 monthly phone call. When we were married the postman asked my parents what happened because the letters stopped. He knew because we both would plaster Sealed with a Kiss, Sealed with a Prayer, and Sealed with Love all over the outside of the envelopes. 😂❤
