  • If you ever wanted to know what game wardens do in their job beyond the hunting season, check this video out! Come along with your game wardens as they: deal with curious bears, handle bear problems, educate the public, rescue a bald eagle, then ride along with an officer at night to ensure our citizens are compliant on our 30 gun ranges across the state.

What papers are the shooter at the range giving over? And why? (from Nevada and Texas)

In PA, to use the shooting ranges that are located on State Game Lands, you either need a valid hunting license or a permit to use the range (just for the ones on the State Game Lands). Since the ranges and 1.5 million acres of state game lands are funded through hunting license sales, there was a lot going on a couple years ago with non-hunting gun enthusiasts using the ranges, yet not "paying for them" since they don't buy hunting licenses so this was a way to remedy the situation.

I just learned a lot about more about Game Wardens, and respect the career path they chosen. Nice well made video too!

nice PR spin, but not my experience in SW PA. Our wardens are still trying to doll out every fine they can. Just switched from game violations to parking infractions. Congratulations Matt Kramer, you just lost 1 current and 4 future lifetime hunters. I'm done. Hope no one ever gives you a warning or a second chance for a human mistake ever again.

Ashame these guys don't get paid more then they do. PSP gets paid almost 20k more starting out and have less job duties just doesn't make any sense and the conservative officer training is a year long 6 months act 120 and then 6 months fish and game.
