Friends, comrades, fellow heroes of Azerim, I have some words of inspiration, and wisdom. Gather 'round, and let me regale you with a tale, a tale of determination, and prosperity...
Long ago, there was a epic war. The Orcs, always trying to expand, had laid waste to any forces in their way, and had a head-on clash with the Goliaths of Skotlund, and with the most violent encounter of their expansionist campaign, the Orcs had been stopped, but the battle had yet to truly begin. All able-bodied Goliaths were called to action, and fought against the Orc with a burning fervor, and valiantly defended their home, but the Orcs kept coming. Many of our kind fell the Orcs, but we never stopped fighting! Outsiders told us it was a lost cause, but we didn't feel the same! We kept fighting, and they kept dying, so fought some more! They kept coming, we kept fighting, and they never came closer than a two day walk from us. By that time, the Orcs must've gone around, but no patrols scouted any signs of the Orcs, almost as if the Goliaths of Skotlund took out all of the Orcs. The lower lands praised the Knights of Wraith for pushing back the invasion, right as Skotlund was losing her men. Parades for the returning soldiers, while Skotlund mothers lost their children. So ferocious was the battle, that the Orcs had believed they stumbled across the gathering of the resistance leaders, but it was only us! The Goliaths of Skotlund that defeated the Orcs, and sent them, running for the pits of hell they belong in, and teaching the Orcs what it means to be afraid of what goes bump in the night!!!
Before it was over, my grandfather, Flodger "Bloodface" Blodger, was finally given his orders. Eager to join the fray and defend his home from the invasion, his mother, my great grandmother, stopped him, just before the city gate. She told him how much he reminded her of his grandfather, marching towards the threat, never running afraid, headstrong in his abilities, even if sometimes to his detriment. She worried tirelessly but knew she wasn't going to stop him. So, never finding a better, more fitting moment than now, she called Clang Lerang, the blacksmith, and asked him to bring Flodger the commission she started, "Flodger's Greatest Ally." Clang could barely contain his excitement, as he came running forth. There, just before setting out on his first March to Action, Flodger was presented with a most stunning addition to his equipment. The handle made with wood from his family Sternoak his grandmother planted, the very same wood his father used to build the only home he'd ever known, Skotlund Steel for binding, and the finest of Veradun Enhanced weighted iron, from the very mines his grandfather worked, to craft the head. Every piece sourced from his history, and every inch a reminder of what he was fighting for, he was given this very hammer.
You may all see my obsession as childish or Barbaric, but it's a different appreciation. This is the hammer that finally defeated the Orcs invading Skotlund, and ALL of Azerim! But more than that, this isn't just my grandfather's Hammer. This is his legacy. I'll admit, maybe I remembered wrong, but what good is a hammer that sits on a wall and gathers dust? This is what my grandfather would want: A Warhammer used for war!
So friends, I don't know about you, but like my Grandfather before me, I'm marching towards the threat, and Kalothin, Lako-What's his name, like the Orcs before him, will learn to fear Flodger's Greatest Ally, and the Dickheads!

The final upgrade to Bodgers Hammer should be sentience. So we can finally find out who the hammer really belongs to.
We already found out that Bodger was correct and that his grandfather was going to give him the hammer. like 140 episodes ago.
I think he means more that the hammer rightfully says I belong to my master bodger

As it becomes sentient, it detects the presence of the doll in Bodgers soul
Its his grandfather's soul and he just keep telling bodger how much he likes his brother more
2:10 Little does the team know... Baradun is casting a spell every night (sometimes more than once per night) but all it does is give himself a five minute foot massage. He got tired of hiking around with blisters and foot cramps long ago, so he invented this spell for his own personal use. But at this point he's only doing it specifically because he knows the mystery annoys the hell out of everybody else.
1:44 I physically SCREAMED I was so excited for the big reveal and then Baradun just goes "doin' some magic lol" I don't think I'll ever emotionally recover from this.

I wish, I wish, I wish they'd make it like they did in the older parts of the campaign where the guys got to mess around and it was more about their antics rather than the story.

Robs face to Rowan is “I have given you an insanely Op weapon and you are still calling it trash!”
Tbf an op weapon in dnd means an extra 3 damage on each hit which really would be trash if Rob didn’t also give him all the cool extra stuff with it
Rowan was talking about elemental stuff only and yea he has to use two bonus actions to get this elemental power so only starting at round 3 he can use 3 attacks with extra 2.5dmg on hit

Actually, by the end of this campaign, you could probably do a montage of all the times Rowan has talked about rightfully owning the hammer and it would come out close to 10 minutes. He could even do a minute or so of extra talking if needed.
Until I get a 10 minute speech I will no longer believe that Bodger's hammer is rightfully his. Your move Viva...

Rowan after half the campaign is powering up his hammer, by far the most powerful non-mask item any of the characters have:
'This thing is pretty ****ing useless'.

@@gamernoob1471 Yea and I agree with Rowan here. Big problem with Berserker is the fact that you dont get extra attack as a part of going into rage. Here he not only cant use extra attack on first round but then would have to use one of his attack on the second round to get 1d4 extra dmg. In comparison path of the giant allows you to pick element as the part of the rage and changes whole dmg into elemental (which can be better because there is more resistance to normal dmg than to Thunder for example)

I love how Rowan just rolls the dice so that it doesn't roll at all. A professional board gamer's move.
I had a friend in high school who would roll against is left cupped hand so the dice would not fall off the table. If he didn't like the roll he would move his left hand to change the roll. Of course he became a lawyer.
I learned from an uncle to set up dice so they fall flat and you pretend to shake them inside your cupped hands. You essentially put them between your fingers and knock them to make noise, then drop it forwards so the dice barely move. The problem is that you can't do it too much or it becomes obvious.
I think a scroll of animate object is going to fall out of the sky and land at my party's feet next time we play, lol. That green screen was hilarious.

Rob seemed offended by the fact that Rowan didn't appreciate his efforts to make his hammer cooler with elemental damage by the types of giants he slayed.
Rowan seems to be a meta player.He wants the best thing possible rather than small things that can add up overtime.We’ve seen this behavior since the start pf the campaign
No disrespect but I don’t like meta players.They are boring and not fun imo
Also to clarify.There are fun meta players like adam for example that uses anything he can and have aswell as playing with flavour/roleplay in fun way whilst meta players like rowan want stuff and be strong without much effort and is like a one trick pony

@@FD-wl7xq Honestly, I don't know Rowan is even a meta player, since that implies he bothers to learn about game mechanics. He kinda just gets spoon-fed because he's the CEO. The amount of shit he gets away with from jumping off ships to eating Bob's bean to stealing Greg's giant kill to shamelessly asking for and getting free stuff breaks immersion. Suspension of disbelief only goes so far, he should have a permanent -50 to max hp by now.
An entire story arc was to get him his hammer, many more are killing giants to 'weaken' Kelothac but in practice just to buff his hammer, and now he complains 'This thing is pretty ****ing useless'.

Isn’t it? Ever since he got darkness hes specifically been allowed to target someone to attach it to, or was that from the start not a normal rule?

@@Karthull IDK, maybe it is another home rule. But the standard rule says: "If the point you choose is on an object you are holding or one that isn’t being worn or carried, the darkness emanates from the object and moves with it."
Because it would be too imbalanced using a 2nd level spell, cast blindness on a creature without a saving throw for 10 minutes, and it can get rid of this using a spell of at least 3rd level.
Idk if it’s a homebrew rule or not but the balance part of it is that other people can’t see the creature either, in the past when they tried to attack something in darkness Rob would have them roll to see if they’re even attacking the right square before doing the normal attack roll
Last time I was this early Baradun nuked orphans with a meteor shower
Genuinely not that much his fault, he said he used it on an army of orcs and he did sort of shrug it off when Rob “asked are you sure they were orcs” but Rob decided it was a village dressed as orcs “for some reason” because schmargenrog was to far to possibly be hit as though there’s no chance there happened to be a roaming warband or a random invading orc army (like wraith had) just because meteor swarm range is only like a mile or two
@@Karthull Its not Adams fault, it 100% is Baraduns fault. People with guns know to only shoot if they can see their target, let alone High Sorcerer with his bloody meteor shamer, also would probably be aware of village in that general direction and where Shmargenrog is to know maybe she should not cast that shit

Bob sucks up the damage so that Baradun can cast those spells that do so much damage. If Bob wasn't there, there would be a higher chance that the baddies would target Baradun instead, causing him to die; the party should be thankful that Bob rolls so terribly.
@BitsOfEternity it’s not just Bob rolling bad, so many times when Rob rolls where the creature comes from or who it targets it rolls to Bob even though there should be an equal chance of it rolling to any of them

I think Greg wanted to secretly be the rogue and Bob could have been the healer. The party would have died a long time ago with Bob's rolls as the healer.

Ive got to add it again in hopes it reaches one of the players before its too late. Kill the hag, redeem leothil. Kill bob to release the patreon. Revive bob once he is cleansed of wither. Once lako'thac enters the realm to exact his revenge, use the group wish to cleanse calothac of the shadow realms influence. Everyone is saved, except frank. And derk. Well, the world is saved anyhow.
Getting rid of repelling blast is a WILD thing to do no matter the circumstances or your build. And by wild, I mean incredibly ill-advised.
In fairness, eldritch sight allows Bob to actually see where he’s going while he flies

Except he has little to no reason to ever use eldritch blast most of the time, the sight thing is genuinely way better for him this particular circumstance is the only time it would have been better and doesn’t he get a second invocation what’s his second one? Besides who wants pick the cookie cutter build option everyone picks.

It is disadvantage Rob said that between the darkness underwater and distance he’s got a bunch of disadvantage so reckless can’t cancel it out but fortunately disadvantage doesn’t stack to double dis. And Bodger rage only makes him take half damage from physical so he’d take full heat damage

I'm 20-ish episodes in a rewatch, and taking notes of d20 rolls. Right now, Greg has the worst - Bob is highest. Both at with the 11.25 to 11.75 average.
Just wait until episode 42, Ben’s average will go way down.
Also, part of Bob’s curse is that he specifically rolls badly when important stuff is happening, and that Rob rolls very well when attacking him.
