I Flat Out REFUSE To Go To The Self Checkout Line!Please Help Me Understand This!

- Self checkouts are not loved by everyone! Many older people despise them and what they stand for.What is your opinion?

I have left things because nothing but self checkout was open
I counted four employees standing at the self checkouts. Why don't they open four registers? Our Aldi has self checkouts. I waited 30 minutes in line at the one and only register they had open. No self checkouts
And then they have to stop you and look at your receipt, nope wont do it
I ASKED 1 OF THE 4 STANDING, TALKING TOGETHER...THEY THERE TO AID FOLKS & TO WATCH FOR THEFT....DUH....
I SEE THEY STOPPED DOING THAT TOO MANY COMPLAINTS ONLY DO IF LARGE ITEM NOT BAGGED NOW....
@@Thedogman2 I don’t show them my receipt as I’ve already been through a human operated checkout. I’m not a thief and so I just smile, say g’day and keep walking.
Won't use the self checkout in any store. 😒
If you do something wrong--you could end up in jail! I have not be trained on those self check out registers. The store suspect everyone using them of theft.
Our Walmart has several regular checkouts & self check on both ends.
After it had been reported that self check was charging more, most of the regular checkouts are open with a wait line backed to the aisle.
same here!! I will request a line to be opened or leave what I was purchasing and walk out.
When walmart pays me or gives me a discount I will use a self checkout, unless I have one or two small things. Nope.

Until they start paying me or giving me health care or a discount I will not use a self check out!
Walmart is in the process of putting back in the checkout stations they took out.
Do like I do, if I go to the store no matter 1 item or a cart full if someone can't check me out . I ask for a manager if the manager tells me they can't check me out, I tell them to keep the items and pay someone to put it back on the shelf, most stores will not put meat back so it goes in the dumpster, so losing a sale and losing products, plus theft on the self checkout 😭
I like Self Checkout when I only get a few items and don't want to wait in line. I don't mind when it screws up because they can't get rid of the employees completely. PS your studio setup looks great and I like the background with the steps you built.
I just heard on the news a couple days ago that Walmart’s self check out was charging people more than the prices of items where. Now they are trying to give the people’s money back
i used to use the self check out at home depot because you didnt have to pay enviroment fees on things. but they caught on and now you have to pay
I would never dare to do self check outs. But our Walmart started having only self check outs. I like them now. Mostly have no problem. Grocery stores I need help at self check outs because of all the different prices on a zillion veggies and fruits.
My Walmart has self checkout and if you're lucky, some cashiers that will be checking people out. The self checkout that they have is lower in Height than the regular checkout. This is very hard for me, I have a very bad back and I cannot use the self checkouts, not that I really want to anyway.
I take it a step farther.. I am a wal-mart+ member and I scan using my phone (scan-n-go) and bag it at my cart and done! No register waiting
I would leave a full cart sitting & walk out before using self check out! Also have you heard Walmart is eliminating self check out in some of their stores.
Probably the stores in places with high theft rates.
I have never used self check out anywhere.
I never use self checkouts…I do not receive a staff discount to do the work of store staff.
I also ONLY pay with ca$h! “Use it or lose it! We already have banks in this country (Australia) that refuse to issue cash when people want to withdraw their own money.
It’s an absolute disgrace. 😠 The more stores promote “cash only”, the more people flock to support them 👍🏼💰💵 Leave your plastic cards at home, folks. Resist the w h o trying to control your every movement..
It all started with self service gas stations! Back in the 70's..before that the attendant would clean your windshield and check you oil! Then they would have gifts for a fill-up! The price of gas was .40 a gallon😍
And I was wearing my green plaid polyester bellbottoms saying..."Hey man, thats Groovy!"
Here in central Florida our last hold out Aldi just put them in and no real people at all! I am doomed! I hate them too, even our dollar tree did it. Ugh!😵💫
I go to smaller stores if at all possible and stay out of walmarts ....harps is my main store it's employee owned or Reasors

I can't stand using them things 🙄 my kids will but idk they don't seem to like me much either 🤷♀️ (I don't like people much either 🤣 & I guess they screw up just as bad so I try to just stay at home and not deal with any of it😂
ITS REALLY SAD BUT THAT IS WHAT CAUSED ME TO LET MY DAUGHTER GET MY GROCERIES. THE TIME THE FIRE ALARM BLASTS KEPT GOING OFF FOR 20 MIN SAYING TO LEAVE STORE IMMEDIATELY...ANOTHER ANNOUNCEMENT CANT TURN IT OFF, MANAGER TALKING TO CORPORATE OFFICE...IT WAS SOOO SCARY...KEPT LEAVING PEOPLE IN PEOPLE SO CONFUSED...IM.OVER 80...
I really don't go into stores much anymore But when I do, I expect the store to scan my items. When only given a choice to self check out, I have left my cart and items with the store manger and the service desk. When I do shop, I shop my lil local store or Aldi. Aldi self checkouts have failed here. They are already replacing the newly installed 😂self- checkouts with new registers again. Aldi does offer on-line orders for pickup here. All bagged up and ready to go.
A few yrs ago, a Wally world door monitor demanded to see my receipt after an employee rang up my items. I refused. It's not a law or a store policy to forfeit your receipt on demand. I Do NOT shop at Wally world.

I totally agree with every point you made about Self Checkouts. I just like the way you tell it. I have gotten so angry at those things, but I sure enjoyed hearing you explain it. 😉
Hi Mike I don't use the self checkout. That's funny about rhe fruit of the loom underwear . It takes jobs away from the people. I'm afraid pretty soon it will all be robots. That will be bad. I use Amazon a lot. And dont have pay shipping either . Have a great day and God Bless Happy Trails ❤

Hi Mike. Just wanted to say that I like your new intro. And I totally agree with you on not using the self check. Only place I have to is Aldi. They took away all of the cashiers at my local store, so I have not choice.

Sam's has a self check-out app for your phone. Check out on your phone. Phone is the receipt. Walmart may do that .
I wouldn't use them, if l must then l want my pay for doing their job
We use self checkout because Walmart doesn't teach the cashiers how to bag. They will put 4 bottles of juice plus other things in one bag. Then, they put non food items in with food. No, I do not want shave cream or toothpaste or toilet bowl cleaner in with my fruits and veggies. I put all of my non food items at the end to avoid that but they pick thru it. No sir, self checkout is my way.
I Would use the self checkout if I have to meaning the lines at the tellers are very, very long and the baskets/shopping carts are over full.

Yes, at Walmart. Shop at Publix and they only have people checkers, and they carry out your groceries.

Just some advice if your Walmart is 50 miles away you should keep a cooler in your truck food don't seem to last to long in any heat length anymore
I have a electric powered fridge/freezer in my truck
Oh that's great I take cooler bags with me with ice packs works good have a nice day
