I love how the phrasing of "Barry marries Iris, and not you" sounds. Poor Eddie, not being able to marry Barry
Proper dialogue would’ve been “Barry marries iris, you don’t”
This and lines like “there have always been three people in this relationship. You, me, and Barry” make me wonder if the writers actually thought about what they were implying 😂

Eddie in my opinion is the most tragic character in the Arrowverse.
He didn’t get the gurl he didn’t get to be the hero because Reverse-Flash is still alive and he didn’t get joes approval marry iris he got kidnapped by his future distant relative he was led to believe he was a failure he wasn’t remembered in the future eddies life sucks
God of Evil wow why haven’t they brought his character back in some way? All these different earths and realities, and we haven’t seen Eddie, he could have been a nice speedster villain.

Poor Eddie. But at least he gets even. Eobard and his obsession with being better than Barry is a perfect example of a male ego gone completely out of control. He must’ve grown up being constantly told how brilliant he was and how great he and his family were, but it wasn’t enough for him when he learned about the Flash and his accomplishments and (ridiculously overpowered) abilities. Then when he found out he was destined to be Flash’s nemesis rather than a great hero equal to him, Eobard just freaking lost it. So he went back in time to erase everything Barry would ever be, never once considering that he needed the Flash to exist in order to get his own super speed. Doesn’t sound so ingenious to me. Then he goes and calls Eddie a failure for being average. Well, Eddie gets the perfect revenge by spending his own final moments erasing everything Eobard would be. *That* folks, is called poetic justice.
And by revenge, you mean Killing himself???? I still exist thanks to my Negative Speed Force!!!!!!

Not really. Maybe he feels contempt for Eddie because that’s how he was emotionally abused by his family. Remember Thawne comes from a time where cows are extinct so he must come from a dystopian era that was on the brink of collapse therefore motivating him to go back in time to become the flash so he could save his time from era which is probably why he wanted to go back in time so badly and even when he didn’t want a future without the flash, he wanted to replace him with another hero of a different and better era. You’re theory is decent but it’s a really bad way of painting a character (especially Eobard) because the concept of a spoiled brat is pathetic and weak and often gets a bad wrap which is why it doesn’t work unless you mix it with being a victim of child abuse and neglect who is forced to be greater and greater, who lives in a modern but damaged, superficial, lifeless and shallow society where a person’s worth is measured by their abilities, appearance and accomplishments. It’s true that Eobard’s ego went out of control but that can also happen to people with tragic upbringings because a person’s ego becomes big when it’s born out of insecurity which is why Eobard was driven to madness over discovering his fate with the flash. His insecurity lead him to waste years of research and it gets worse in never being able to accomplish his dream. From a poor child forced into greatness from a probably strict and abusive father to a rampaging monsters with abilities beyond comprehension is the best way to capture a villain.

The irony of all of this is Eobard let his ego get the best of him, if he just didn't talk to Eddie, Eddie never would've found out about his future and wanting to change things, he never would've taken his own life to be a hero.

He may have not gotten the girl but he is not forgotten there is a picture of him in CCPD hall, Barry pushed everyone away, people still talked about his sacrifice

In my opinion, this is how zoom should’ve been created. In the comics Reverse flash crippled Zolomon thus turning him into zoom, they should’ve made evil wells create Thawne into zoom by corrupting him and turning him against flash

Thawne didn't cripple Zolomon. Grodd did, though Thawne also had a hand in corrupting him.

Eddie honestly died for no reason. Eobard kept on coming back regardless of his sacrifice.
At the very least, he did orevent Eibard from killing Barry and the others at that moment.

Because of flashpoint Barry pulled Eobard from the timeline and it gave Eobard the chance to stay alive but be hunted by black flash

@@DeletedchanneI827 yes and no when Eddie first shot him self Eobard was wiped from the timeline, but by Barry creating flashpoint it gave Eobard the chance to use the speed force to avoid the paradox from reaching, so black flash was after him, another consequence of flashpoint
@@yaleyale86 Except Thawne came back in season 2, pre-flashpoint. And Nora was obviously still dead all that time. To prevent a paradox, the speedforce allowed those versions of Thawne to continue to exist in the past, a remnant of a now erased timeline. Harry explains it in 2x11
@@jacobcenter7374 Due to Eddie's death, the Eobard who was erased at that time was closer to the time adjustment, meaning that he was the first to go. The one we meet in Season 2 was earlier on in his career. and since he was out of sync from the point of the event, the time change hasn't caught up to him yet.
Eddie and Eobard Thawne may be related…but they’re not family. Team Flash is Eddie’s family.
I think the 2 month comment might be related to him being in the future, and humans evolving to be better in general

When someone says all but they basically mean everything except for.
Eobard is telling Eddie that he won’t be completely forgotten because you could research him if you wanted. But no one will ever know him or anything about him. Hence all but forgotten.
