    Greetings Dr Hui. I have no problems with this movement. I’m flexible. The back lower left side of my waist felt a little tender. Was wondering why that was?

    Hi Alex. Can I ask; if facing directly to the front with hip width to start, what angle and width does the stepping foot take? I can see it's a long step, with the weighted knee above that foot. Am I right that the heels are in line when viewed as if standing directly behind you, or is hip width maintained? Thankyou, Martin.

    This looks excellent. Good tuition and level of detail. Can you do this move on its own, or do you have to do all the other moves with it in the 5 animal frolics. (I may just want to work on my kidneys for instance). In the 8 pieces of Brococade, in my book the author says you have to do all the 8 moves for example - hence my question. In my book on the 6 healing sounds of qi gong, the author says you must do these in order, but you can do the first 2 on their own, if you are stuck for time.

    • @DrAlexHui
      @DrAlexHui  4 роки тому +3

      Thank you for your comments.
      If time is limited, you can isolate the movements and just do the one specific to your needs. For the deer, since there is a larger range of motion, I suggest doing a warmup first.
      Ofcourse if time is sufficient, doing the whole set is a great idea. In the next couple weeks I will do videos on the second movement of the five animals, and I will at last do a video of all 10 movements together.
