Nice! So nice in fact that although patina is all the rage -- The stainless & chrome look nice enough that little 54 deserves a eye flash bright paint job!

I don't know who started that craze but it just tells me that they were either too lazy to finish the body work and paint job or just cheaped out on finishing the vehicle.

@@richardcline1337 oh I get it. They only original once. And on some survivors/rods it the right thing to do. But it's gone too far.
I just was noticing how nice the stainless trim is. I'd for sure paint this one 😉

@richardcline1337 you'd get along with my Pop. Everything has to be gloss and crome. I never cared about paint or crome. Long as it runs strong and rides smooth. Interior has to be sharp though. Probably because I owned an upholstery shop. Used to laugh when folks asked when I was going to finish it. That was back in the 90's and I always replied it's done.

Say you something about mufflers, Amazon has 2" kits for $150.00 and 3" kits for $195.00, there is a lot of pieces in them, enough to a car and have some left over. Can't wait to see your new building, you'll have plenty of room. Your old shop had a lot of space that was not used that much because of the layout. Take care my friend

Well folks, I'm pretty sure if the hoist wasn't safe Brent wouldn't be using it, it's not like he doesn't know what the heck he's doing! for example, he's not a backyard mechanic, he has owned his own garage for years now, common man. Actually that hoist is most likely a hell of a lot stronger than modern day hoists because back in the day they made things well. With a better quality of metal than the crap that comes out of china nowadays, that's for damn sure.
