I have had a freep4 for 5 years now and other than the belt holster wearing a bit it's still perfect love it. Also Benchmade charges 300 bucks for mid steel and plastic grips so 230 isn't ridiculous too me
I don’t think of this as a bad price because in the long run it pays for itself the magnacut and the thumb stud on it make it a joy to open and the tool set is amazing it was all i wanted in the p4 and more with the interchangeable bit driver it makes it worth wild for me can’t wait to get one I lost my p4 and still have a p2 but it’s not the same I like the saw on the p4
Lol its a comically terrible price. It isnt going to "pay for itself". Get the P4, and since everyone that watches this channel carries a knife ( and probably has many, MANY of them) daily anyway, it really makes no sense. And the Arc's wire cutters are faulty and will be recalled soon
Same here, they have student discounts for 30% off highly recommend. All you do is put your college or university, name, DOB, and school email and it’s gives you the code on the spot. Maybe try asking people you know in uni or college that don’t need the code to get it for you!
I’ve spent over $1200 on Leathermans over the years. Both gifted and for myself. I recently coughed up $115 on four of the new Bibury wave and surge clones. Long/short of the story, I’ll NEVER pay for a Leatherman again.
Do the magnets get the tool all covered in metal shavings? I’m too scared to buy one bc I work on a lot of rusty old machines, my pockets are covered in metal dust and shavings.
I have, as many others, far too many Leathermans. I still got the Arc because I wanted to try the Free tools and I got it for $160 using the student discount so not a bad deal at all, especially with the Magnacut blade.
Ever since Leatherman stop selling their blades and other components separately I have just stopped carrying one. Never really saw the point of carrying a pocket knife and a multi tool. And since I can't replace a broken blade anymore through Leatherman, I no longer care for the brand.
You seem to be totally unaware that you can send a broken or worn out Leatherman back and get any parts replaced that you need--FOR FREE. They also completely clean the tool and refurb anything else that's wrong with it. I certainly hope you make other decisions in your life based upon a better process then the invalid reasons you gave for no longer carrying a Leatherman.

Great multi-tool; Im all for leatherman they make great and tough stuff, but I got to say the clones like bibury and rocktol are way cheaper with the same functions. For me if im going to use a multi tool as a beater than Im going for the clones mostly because I can get 3 with a warrenty.
The thing is prices are only increasing. I was going to wait to get it, but after thinking about it , it is hard to see them getting cheaper, the only exception is when magnacut becomes mainstream. Then, a price drop may happen imo. It is definitely a good $20 to expensive

Ah yes 200+ for that "free technology" aka putting magnets in your tool and making it seem revolutionary maybe leatherman should think about redesigning the juice and squirt line instead of hard focusing this premium so much and maybe cut this crap of price jacking?
Not really, they make some of the most well-built and popular multitools on the market and sell them for less than what many companies do for simple folding knives. You can get an s30v and titanium Leatherman made in America for less than many spydercos or benchmades. Considering everything, their tools are fairly understandably priced.
Multitools are nice and all but they get to a point where youre spending a lot of money on a jack of all trades item when you could just be spenidng it on a nice knife or set of pliers etc. Yeah theyre great to have but its very steep, definitely dont need magnacut on a multitool knife, if you have money to blow sure its great but definitely not for me😂 of course this is coming from somebody with 50+ knives when any one of them would last me a lifetime so take it with a grain of salt😅
Yes yes... I hear you. How much did all those knives cost? I accepted a long time ago that big ticket stuff like a leatherman are a little more toy than tool. It's not that big of a deal. Everything in moderation

Totally agree, if you carry a good knife, not worth it. But if you truly only carry one thing, that blade alone is worth the price difference.
I’m not allowed to have a knife on me at work. But I can certainly have a multi tool. Arc all day for me.

That’s how I justified buying it, because I have several single bladed knives that cost more 🍻🍻
I have carried the P2 for over 7 years. LOVE IT. Use it multiple times a day. Can’t believe it has survived.
This is the best tool leatherman has ever made. Worth every penny. I love it.
Just get the P4, same thing but better because it doesnt have the poorly designed wire cutters that will need to be recalled. $230 is just comical
@@disco4535No file no bit driver no magnacut. The p4 isn’t in the same league as the arc, it’s more along the lines of a victorinox.
Considering most med - high end production knives offering Magnacut are around $200, the price doesn’t seem all that bad comparatively.
is fun how people are up in arms about the price but then drop $300 on a knife

I would love a non-magnacut arc. I don't need a crazy steel, but I like the tools and features. As of right now, it's just too expensive.
My ONLY real gripe with the ARC so far is I wish it was a tad bigger but otherwise I really like it.
Great looking multi tool!!!
This is my eventual replacement for my Free P2 which has been an incredible tool for me.
This toolset with a normal blade would have easily fit the bill for me…it’s sweet, either way.

Ok the Arc is no joke
They’re nice but the surge is all I need in a multi tool.
I'd be interested if you tried EDCing this without using your folding knife, so that you can see if it's good enough to replace it.
It's US-made too
