That Grillos a gorgeous little knife, unfortunately like everything else we get screwed on the price here in Australia with some retailers selling these for up to $200 😑
I never get tired of this genre.
It's nice to make a video about cheap knifes. We forget they are easier to use. You're not afraid to do what you have to do. And you are not afraid to loose them. ^^ Okay, they are not perfect. That is not some space steel. But it's not some showcases knifes.
I think heat treatment is far more important than being a steel snob.
Thanks, I appreciate all the effort you put into your videos so we can buy the best knives!
I highly enjoyed your video. Probably the best review video I've watched. Honest opinions, well explained, and actually tested. Well done Sir. 👍👍
I bought that Kubey chopper based on one of your earlier vids. I intended it to just be a garage beater but I've really taken a liking to it for the around the house chores. Not a fan of the sheath but the knife has been very good, especially for the price. Good for opening packages, breaking down cardboard and has been very good for cutting all the zip ties that those evil toy company bastages use to rivet every toy into the boxes.
the entire recent Eafengrow fixed blade line EF130 to EF147 are awesome and have been tested by several knife channels.
@@olafkliemt1145 yeah I’ve tested two of them on the channel they are just a little heavy for the way I like to carry them but other than that they are ok
Thanks stassa...you're the best
More More More. Very good review. Thanks
Nieto knives are really awesome .I love them.
I just went through your store and bought the very last one you reviewed by Nieto I just emailed you about getting a small fixed blade and out this Video came. I have the Kizer Smolt in 3v and I’m happy with it so since I trust your reviews I ordered it come July 15-20. I’m still looking for a small fixed blade with Bohler m390 or another super steel.
The Ankylo is a very sturdy folding knife. I’m glad you recommended it and I absolutely love that knife. It’s in one of my pockets daily and that Elmax steel is tough, reminds me of my reverse tux padre’ in Vanax steel is a very tough knife and I love it!!
It's a premium price, but the TJ Shwarz overland sport is outstanding, and it's in magnacut
Thank you for taking the time to test these knives and show them to us 🙏🏼
This was a great lil video lots of bangers!
Hey. Yet another awesome post! Very interesting and informative to be sure. I especially learn a lot as you discuss the various 'cut' profiles and specifically how that effects performance. ✨😺
Nick....you are the f-ing man! So much appreciate your content as always bro!!!
I know you purchase the mass majority of the knives you showcase out of your own pocket. Which makes me appreciate you even more so! Have you dedicate an entire room of your home to house them or possibly a standalone shed? Approximately how many knives do you think you currently have?
@@Joshua-lx4ck yes I have a entire room in my house it use to be an office now it’s my knife room. Not sure how many I actually have because I’ve never counted but it’s a lot lol 🍻
Super video, I love it! Thank you so much for such content! 😘🍭
Like the nieto knives
Love those grillos, thank you for the video
The Loveless designed Schrade PRO HUNTER is my EDC, for the last twenty years. Around 50 bucks. the littel buggr has parted out several deer an elk and a bear, in addition to all manner of general ranch work.
Just found this channel and this is a great first video. Been looking for something to compare to my mora and my anza . Some of the micro cuts between your words make the commentary sound a little rushed but other than that, amazing work.
That Kubey Aiden (cleaver) is a nice-looking little knife. I am a sucker for a cleaver shape.
Great review, very informative and good visuals.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for Sharing
Great 👍 Thanks.
Both The Nito knives look really good. The Spanish make great knives for a good price. I’ve been carrying a Joker slip joint for the last month or so and love it. Thanks 🎸🔪
I love aus 8 steel. Sharpens up like a razor in 2 seconds and holds it just fine.
I'm going to look at the camper one it looks handy
Good stuff
That Nieto is pretty tempting.
The Nieto is Neato
Nice to see a Spanish brand in this video 👌
I have the Yesca mini, probably i will get the Grillo soon. Nieto brings a god cuality knives for a budget prices, the sheds are also god but i make a kydex one for mine 😅
Best regards from Spain! 😜
100% de acuerdo, mi favorito es el Yesca mini en olivo ❤
For a fix blade EDC I love my esee candiru
Great video… I own a Cudeman Sanabria 2 and a Joker Erizo both spanish knives and really like them. Been thinking to get the Nieto Grillo as a paring knive, and also the Yesca mini because seems a nice small knive. Thanks for the video. Would you recommend the Yesca mini for a camp knife? Have you done some food prep with it? Regards
This video was almost like you read my mind. I usually don't care much for small knives, especially small fixed blades. My state has no restriction on blade length so when I carry a fixed blade 'in public' it is usually a Gerber Prodigy (,the model with no serrations) and no one in my area even bats an eye. I don't know the first thing about knife fighting but feel like a knife such as the Produgy (or an Ontario RAT 5 or TAK 1) are just better tools in case they need to see some harder use. I do sometimes carry my Spyderco Bow River if I want something a little 'less'.
However, I am currently looking for a knife to fill a specific niche. I want something I can carry on my weak side in front, crossdraw that I could get to with either hand. I want it to be available in case I need something to help retain my firearm. Like I said, though, I know nothing about knife fighting - it woukd just be for 'get off me' purposes. Also, where I live is pretty low risk so hopefully it would never be needed for that purpose. For those reasons I don't want a super tactical blade like a Clinch Pick, etc. Instead, I want something more like a utility blade that wouldn't be out of place doing EDC stuff but would be available and capable just in case. I also wouldn't want to drop a lot of cash on what I consider to be an 'undersized' blade but in this case I do need a smaller blade so I could comfortably carry it crossdraw out of the way of getting to the other things I carry..
Personally, I like D2 and would prefer it to stainless. I also think the 'Sharpfinger' style is one of the most attractive blade designs. I actually considered just making a custom, crossdraw leather sheath for a Schrade Sharpfinger but with my 'table muscle' I think the thinner scales on the Shark might be better/more comfortable for carry. Then there is that Kwaiken - nothing 'tacticool' about the look but would also likely be a good choice - and at the prices I can get both! I like the look of the Tesca, too, especially as I am looking at this as more of a 'take it out and use it' knife' and like that it would be pretty easy to set any of them up for crossdraw with the factory sheaths.
Thanks for the video!
Good to see some Holtzmans. I got a Bloodline I think it was called a year or two ago. Baisic camping bushcrafty fixed. Nothing spectacular in 1095 but I love 1095 for something Im gonna baton with a lot. Its been a hell of a knife. Always great to get something well made. Handle feels like it was molded for my hand. And the dude that owns the company is super super nice. But Ive thrown everything at that knife and it can take it. Like it more than my similar Esee. Even got the little Fireline? Forget the name on that too. Which I dont use a ton but have it on the strap of my pack. Just hadnt seen anything about these guys in a bit. Love your channel.
Nieto have some good offerings, I recommend looking at the terrano in the flat grind if you like full size Bushcraft/camp knives. It's really well done ✌️
SICK
Kubey aiden kinda dope
Good stuff, awesome lineup, wish there were more guys doin sub $100 lineups. Seems like everyone wants to talk about all the 100/200 plus linesup. Personally one of my favorites for edc over the past couple years has still been the "Le Duck" 😂 by outdoor knives. It's been a great little knife, hardly know you're even carrying it and actually came stupid sharp.
I use a Neito chaman for hunting. Beautiful knives for the $. The bohler steel is ok and easy to steel up in the bush
Nice video.
Which kind of hockey tape do you use? I doesn’t look that grippy and thats what i search.
I used griptape but its quite uncomfortable on the belly when you carry it iwb.
Thanks in advance.
Nice video
Thanks for this! I am still trying to find a goldilocks fixed for daily carry.
Worktuff gear nomad edc
Wondering how the heist by kershaw stacks up
Great video and new subscriber, tell me about that tape you added to the first knife you talked about it was #10 I believe. Thanks
I have the kubey jl kwiaken also and love it
My new favorite is Watchman 222. Its 14c28n in kydex it cost $35 amazing knife.
My other 2 are the utica utk-n2 i payed $40
Last but not really coldsteel mini pendleton hunter aus10 was $38. Id put these 3 against any on this list.
The older DLC finish 3v Pendleton mini hunter is great. The newer 3v ones without the coating have a deep laser engraving that catches dirt/blood/water and causes corrosion.
Some great choices here! Thanks Nick. I would love a review of the Very Good Knife Co. Traditional Jr or one of their other small models. Thanks!
@@timb4425 ever since I reviewed the VGKC Hornet I have been trying to get one of the smaller ones but they always sell out before I get the chance to order one but I will continue to try 👍🍻🍻
@@Stassa23 the Traditional Jr is still up in nonstainless but I just ordered a Nitro V version. Only took him a week or so.
I like number 1&8
Hey Stassa how do you like your Bark river PSK?
I liked the small drop point at #9 and the diamond sharpener on the side would be easily covered with a piece of duct tape.
The best mini Cudeman Sanabria 2
I have the Mini Sanabria and it’s going to be in my part 2 video since I didn’t get it until after this video was already done 👍🍻🍻
Great vid! What make are those gloves too? They look cool.
@@snesleywipessqueegeeservices I’ll have to check when I get back home, I got them from Home Depot but I can’t remember who makes the off hand 👍🍻🍻
How are the Kizer Smolt and the Cold Steel 3V Pendleton Mini Hunter not on this list? They are both well under $100 and both in 3V, which beats the crap out of all these budget steels.
Love the Smolt!
I need 1
Try the kubey orthodox its awsome
joker avispa and erizo could be good little knife from Spain
I had a Joker Avispa and a Brisa Enzo on a previous video 👍🍻🍻
These are compelling for people who are thinking about retro gaming and handhelds. But don't have any yet. Controller vs more devices?
👍👍
Gimme an ESEE Izula any day.
Herbert 440c
Oh, BTW, I hates me some Kydex!!
What are your top 10 lock back knives?
Nieto's knives = Toyota's cars
The BIG winner is the Bark River Bravo EDC Cpm3v. ALLLLLLL THEEEEEEE WAYYYYYY
How is there not a Morakniv or Hultafors on this list?
@@airmobiledivision7759 this is one of several lists that I have made like this 👍🍻
Can you do a video like this for more stainless blade material fixed blades?
"All the teams they signed are dogshit?" 💕😚
Hey. On the first two blades, you sounded like a loyal Mom trying to put her dysfunctional, loser Kid in a decent light. ✨😹
Mora Eldris ... small , light , good bulgy handle ... EDC
so small that you barely got a blade and you barely got a handle to hold onto that knife is useless junk
