The only name me and my partner agree on so far is Percy. I don’t think we use it but it’s so sweet to see here (just incase) ❤ personally, I love Barnaby and Rafferty 🤭
cute! Barnaby and Rafferty have good nickname options. It's tough to shorten Percy for nickname. Short names don't need a nickname if the original is already cute. @@pippatyce5824

River is my favourite name and has been on my list for about 5 years, we’re definitely using it for one of our boys! Slightly annoying that it’s getting more popular but it hasn’t put me off using it ☺️
I like Ned, Moss, Mack, and Loxley. Also Casper and Kaspien from your list today but I feel the last two are getting a bit more common now… Hope you’re well. You look beautiful as always and a happy smile in this - loved it ❤
I went to school with a boy called Zebedee, I always thought that was a cool name! Overheard a boy called Cosmo today and just seen it on your list too, never heard of it before today! X
Named our son Minho (korean husband), but a good international option (pronounciation wise). Spelling or similar name options like Mino, Minnie, Minnow are also quite cute! (*Mina as a option for girls!). So many great names!
Oh I was waiting for a good boy name list! I’m due with a boy in June, and I’m completely blank on names. The only boy name that I like I already gave to my other son! My daughter did suggest Hugo from a character she read about, and I kind of like it, but my husband isn’t on board.

Our first son is Cove Alexander, and we just named our second son Mars Eden Frances, but I have been calling him Eden/Sweden (Sweet Eden) so I think I might amend that and make Eden his first name. Boy names are hard!
Ah yes definitely go for it as a preferred name, it's so good to be flexible! I always call Evelina, Blossom, which is her middle name because she loves it so it's kind of like a family name for her now - ha ha! x
My daughter’s name is Aura Bloom but we call her Bloomy a lot, I don’t regret calling her Aura as her first name but, it’s her name and she suits it but it’s like the middle name as the nickname is a special little family thing just me and her Dad do (she’s 3 In a few months) ☺️
@@hannahroseloftus97 I love both those names for a girl! I like thinking of it as I technically get to enjoy using 2 different names instead of just one
So true ,boys names is are bit challeng!!! I thought about Alexander(too popular in a Slavic countries as a first name) as a middle name for our baby Felix, but thought it's might be tooo long on the end. I like meanings both of them. ❤ On the end we choose Albert as a middle, I really want it as a first one,but didn't like short variations like Alby or Berthy ...just not my vibe .... But now we haven't baby boy name at all,as we used both that we like for our first son 😅 Sooo hope our second baby will be girl haha
I’ve got an Ezekiel and loved seeing the name pop up on this list. I was worried it was a bit too unique and unheard of after we named him but we loved it and still do, so no regrets. I love Franklin if he ever has a little brother, so equally happy to see it on the list 😂 I think Zeke and Frank would be so cute together 🥹
I met a little boy called Maple. I was obsessed but don’t think it ages as well. Maverick with the nickname Mack is my PASSION but my partner thinks they’re silly 😢
I named my son Olivander and thought maybe I heard it on one of your lists. I could be making that up. Obviously, it's in Harry Potter. I like it because it is unique, haven't met any other Olivanders, but we call him Ollie which is very popular so he can choose what he feels comfortable being called.
I never new I had so many relatives that would make your baby name lists. I have great uncles with the names Hugo, Edwin, Roman and a cousin named Brett. As far as unusual names, I went to school with a boy whose middle name is Bird (after Larry Bird-one of the best basketball players in the NBA), and for a name I always thought Denver was an unusual name. I also had a great uncle named Urban. For August, I've heard people use Gussie instead of Gus or Augie. Glad to have you back SJ. Hope all is well with and your family. ❤
My husband and I could not agree on our 4th child but 3rd son's name for THE LONGEST time, boy names are just way harder. We are going with Sebastian. Middle name is still to be determined. 😅We've got just a few weeks left. ❤❤❤❤
Hope you’re well, SJ. A lot of really good ones on this list. I love Jude, Heath, Hugo, August, Silas, Francis. I think the most unique boy name I’ve ever heard is Jireh! It’s a Hebrew name I believe.
I love seeing Fergus on here! My third child is Fergus David, born 2022. His nickname is Gusto or Gus. I never see my first born's name on lists, Gannon. Im also currently pregnant and kind of maybe love Murdock with a nickname Murry. I've never met anyone with that name!
I'm so beyond babies now but still love your videos! My daughter would have been Jago if she'd have been a boy in 2017...BUT never heard Kitto before and I LOVE!!!!!
Love how youve organised this list. I have a little girl due 1st April and Im DESPERATE for girl names. Dad and I cannot agree. Cant wait for the 100 girl names to hopefully help us out ❤
I really like Evander, Casimir, Felix, Remy, Fergus and Percy( I would use Percival with Percy as nn). Some examples of unusual names; Elizander, Événor, Henare, Iskander, Leolin, Ùisdean, Vangelis and Wendelin.
Mack /Mackenzie, Tom/ Tomothy as an idea. I have a Melody so I like ending in similar sounds or starting with the same letter. I liked a lot of names on the list though, these two stood out as pairing well with Melody. I will still add the others to my list though because my husband shoots down 98% of all my name ideas. The middle name will also be Edward and last name is Smith. I like Shiloh, Remy, Anderson/anders too. Other traditional names I like are Gilbert, Gregory, Albert, Douglas, Stanley. Interesting boy names I like are xerxes, quinlan, xavius, xen, ezri, eames like james, arik like R rick or A rick. Happy to see a list from you again, always so inspired. Thank you!
Most unusual boy names I’ve heard: ** Atom (neat because it sounds like Adam but has a more unique spelling) ** Stormet (saw this in a family genealogy book from 1950) ** Talon (similar vibes to Hawk I suppose!)
The rarest name I’ve heard is beach a person in my class or Rome-Wilde a friends cousin My favourites you mentioned : Moss, Jude, Otto, Evander(💗 I added to my list!), Emerson, Reuben, Art, August, Amos, Atticus(2nd all time names) Roman, Percy, Okre, Oakley, Caspian, Tobias, Phineas, Onyx, Lennox. My top 3 boy names (if I have a son these will be used) Romeo Atticus (I love it for a girl too Attie (like Hattie)) Monroe
Living in malta (Italian influenced) and the name Ellia is popular, it is so gorgeous on boys but I feel I am too British for it to suit. I thought it was unusual when I heard it and it really stuck with me as being a 10/10 name
Really curious about more boy names that start with S but are more unique. My name starts when an S and I want to name my son with an S as well but Silas seems so trendy now
My daughter's name is Ember Rose, and I can't find a boy's name I like as much as Ender. Thinking of Theodore as a middle name (would use as first, but it is too popular, his Grandpa's name is Theodore) or possibly Thorn to go with his sister's middle name. Open to any suggestions if you have any!
@danishscribe- Love the name Ember! What about Phoenix, Cole (instead of Coal), or Blaze for a boy, in keeping with the "fire" theme? Maybe Sage for a MN to go with Rose?
Thank you SJ for this video, loved it and will rewatch. I have 1 month old Nephew name Cassius. We have a little girl, but I’m peeping this list for future ideas. 👀 I have no clue what direction we’ll go in, but after seeing this video, I like one syllable names and names ending in S, to match.
Our boy names if we ever have one is Cedric or August (less sure of the nicknames for this!) We love the middle names: Ives River Beckett Fox Elan Moon Xx
Ok, I’m late to this party, but here are my favorite (somewhat) rare boy names: Ulysses, Emmanuel, Keaton, Rhodes, Wendell, and Jaco. Still obsessed with Llewellyn!
We have a Fergus, but he gets Fergs, Gus Gus or Goose more so. Watched all you're videos first pregnancy and never saw it come up so surprised it is now! Second baby due anyday and we've gone with Hudson :) love all the name lists!
A very unusual name I just heard is Caedmon, for a boy. I think it is an old English name & possibly a saint's name. I love it & applaud the brave parents. There are great names on this list, something for everyone !
Edwin (Edd or Eddie ❤I love so much this nickname ) and Cosmo on my list . Love it, but husband don't like Cosmo as much as i do. But now I really like Casimir, and husband like it too. He have Cassandra as a sister and her short name in Cass or Cassie. Sooooo I thought Mir as a short version for Casimir can work out.
Love these from your list SJ :) Most rarest ive ever heard is Optimus - at a retail job. True story. My faves from your list: Seth, Jude, Heath, Mack, Kitto, Boaz, Roscoe, Shiloh, Loxley, Casimir, Forrest, Darwin, Kasper, Barnaby, Ernie, Wilfred, Foxley, Jago, Atticus, Augustus, Tobias, Lennox, Ziggy
The most unique boy names ive seen are Artaius, Vitas, and Deremetrius. Very cool names tho. We went traditional, love out there names but nothing felt right. I was so out there with names my family was shocked when i picked Matthew for my son. Haha 😂 but i love it. Its the perfect name for him. And now im about to do my second embryo transfer next week. And my name list is very traditional now. Lol i did a 180
I'm not sure if they're super unique everywhere as names: Kingston & Knightly(twins). I've also met or know a Corwin, Titan, Apollo, Aries, and Bienvenido. older and younger people
Im due in a couple weeks with a boy, our 4th boy in a row, and we have nothing we really love. We already have a Sullivan, Thatcher and Sloan. I love Cyrus but hubby does not i like Reuben, Callahan, Jamison, Eddison, Harrison but they are all just okay, not "the one". I would love any ideas 😅
I have Reynold which is technically vintage gold but we haven’t met another yet so I like that it’s more original. I next had a William and I now wish I’d been more daring/original with his name. Love these videos! X
I baby sat a 2 year old blonde haired blue eyed cutie dare devil named Chaos. It's weird how much it suited him and how after baby sitting him long enough the name seemed more like a real name than a word
What a wonderful list! The most unique I've heard is a boy named Bervic or Bervick. It is possibly a variation of Berwick, but I haven't been able to track down the meaning or origin. I don't ever see it on name lists.
Oh wow, it does seem totally an invented name. Berwick means corn field which is quite nice, maybe they pronounce their w like a v - my husband does a lot! x
@@SJ_Strum The interchangeable v and w sound hadn't occured to me. Maybe that is it. It was definately a v sound. Another unique name that now comes to mind is Brimson (the mom says she made it up).
Great name list! I am a teacher so have come across many unique names, some that come to mind are soldier, captain, knight, tiger, takiya, and katar. I have even more unique girl names haha ❤
Wow a lot of power names!! I loved the name Tiger and we did consider it but my husbands parents had a company called Tiger so we didn't know if it made it too weird to use it!
Cale is my son’s. There is an Irish spelling of Cale but I can’t remember how it’s spelled. Family names, Findley, Evan, River, Aubrey. Unique names Tripp, Breck, Noah, Kit, Track, Trig, Blaise
RAREST names I’ve ever heard/met in person - pt.2 |Honourable Mentions | (These are boys names that were RARE or UNIQUE at the time, but have recently gained popularity since hearing them.) Ezra, Misha, Declan, Xander, Quincey, Keegan, Bernard/Barnard, Sage, Kye/Kai, Emmery/Emerson, Meyer, Silas, Nelson, Garrison, Rhys/Rheis, Myles, Santiago (Santi), Grady, Harrison, Cohen, Zane, Antoine, Brady, Briscoe, Cieran/Kieran, Tevin, Harlan, Lennox, Clement, Javon, Lane, Angel, Enoch, Ruben, Tyree, Quinton, Serge, and Thatcher.
We need your help!! Expecting a boy in a few weeks and since he will be our last i am wanting to honour my mum who's name was Heather in his first or middle name somehow but i am completely stumped. Any help would be greatly appreciated ❤🙏
Could use Heath as a first or middle. Takes the first half of Heather. It's a good strong name for a boy but it's not super common. At least not where I'm from.
Heather means evergreen flowering plant. So you could grab Ever out of that for boy or girl. Or Florian means flowering. Hawthorne means where the Hawthorne hedges grow. Jonquil mean reed Layton - herb garden Oleander - evergreen tree Tell me what you think!
@@samcobb1353 thank you for your suggestion. We did consider Heath as a middle name but weren't completely sold on it so wondered what else was out there.
I had a cousin Mershon. I think it was a surname, but I'm not sure. He went by "Shon" I also once knew "Mace". That was a family name, but I always thought of the spice. Not necessarily a bad thing. 🙂
Oh SJ I’ve got a gem for you, the most unique boy name I’ve ever SEEN was Lu-K I live in Quebec where everyone is speaks french, the letter K in French is pronounced like Kahh, the name Luka is pronounced loo-Kahh so this family named their son Luka but spelled it Lu-K… the child will likely have to encounter English people who will read his name as loo-KAY, how tragic
I love these name videos, but I'm so surprised to never see my son's name! Alden is a truly underrated name, and I'm not just saying that because I have one 😉
I can't believe that our baby boy name in this list and I'm exited😊 but also in shock that it's a trendy list! Felix our lil 4 month old baby boy lucky snuggly cuddle coala bear. Aussie is here 🦘🐨🏖️

Really curious about more boy names that start with S but are more unique. My name starts when an S and I want to name my son with an S as well but Silas seems so trendy now
Shepard is unique,or not so much anymore?)
I also love Soren and Severin.
I love Mack short of Mackaiah. It's one of the most unique names I've found so far.
Often spelled without the c, Makaiah, and pronounced "mack-eye-uh".
Mossy is a very common nickname in Ireland for boys called Tomás (Tuh-moss)
My daughter's name is Ember Rose, and I can't find a boy's name I like as much as Ender. Thinking of Theodore as a middle name (would use as first, but it is too popular, his Grandpa's name is Theodore) or possibly Thorn to go with his sister's middle name. Open to any suggestions if you have any!
@danishscribe- Love the name Ember! What about Phoenix, Cole (instead of Coal), or Blaze for a boy, in keeping with the "fire" theme? Maybe Sage for a MN to go with Rose?
Theodore Thorn sounds so good!
Asher can work, may be? Perhaps lil strange .... Ember and Asher ,but I like it on the end and want share with you this idea ;)
Thank you SJ for this video, loved it and will rewatch. I have 1 month old Nephew name Cassius. We have a little girl, but I’m peeping this list for future ideas. 👀
I have no clue what direction we’ll go in, but after seeing this video, I like one syllable names and names ending in S, to match.
Our boy names if we ever have one is Cedric or August (less sure of the nicknames for this!)
We love the middle names:
Ives
River
Beckett
Fox
Elan
Moon
Xx
I love Aussy- like Ozzy for August🤍
August is one of my fave names. I would just call my son August. No nickname. August Moon is a great name!
Elan is on my list!
Welcome back SJ 🎉
Love your content and have for years. Would love to see a rapid fire with names not on your regular lists!
Ok, I’m late to this party, but here are my favorite (somewhat) rare boy names:
Ulysses, Emmanuel, Keaton, Rhodes, Wendell, and Jaco.
Still obsessed with Llewellyn!
Where is your top from? 😅
I love Rainer or Rayne. Most unusual I've seen are probably Theron, Elario, Weldon, Grover, Asa, Jahari, and Chalon.
I love it & applaud
the brave parents. There are great names on this list, something for everyone !
Wow that's stunning - I think it could be really popular so thank you for sharing x
Love these from your list SJ :)
Most rarest ive ever heard is Optimus - at a retail job. True story.
My faves from your list: Seth, Jude, Heath, Mack, Kitto, Boaz, Roscoe, Shiloh, Loxley, Casimir, Forrest, Darwin, Kasper, Barnaby, Ernie, Wilfred, Foxley, Jago, Atticus, Augustus, Tobias, Lennox, Ziggy
Optimus - wowsers! I hope they liked their name; it's definitely a cool pick!
I've also met or know a Corwin, Titan, Apollo, Aries, and Bienvenido. older and younger people
We did Koa for our boy to match Ipo our girl 🥰 We wanted Hawaiian names for each. We love them both. Kitto is pretty amazing!
Rafferty? Laiken? Richmond? Brogan? Taylor? Butler? Montague? Macauley?
I have Reynold which is technically vintage gold but we haven’t met another yet so I like that it’s more original.
I next had a William and I now wish I’d been more daring/original with his name.
Love these videos! X
My second child is also the recipient of a more common name. Thankfully she likes it.
They go together so well! Reynold sounds great and they pair so nicely x
I think Forrest makes a really lovely middle name for a girl ;) xo
Deffo - ha ha! xx
So happy to see you!!! Here comes the baby fever!!!
I baby sat a 2 year old blonde haired blue eyed cutie dare devil named Chaos.
It's weird how much it suited him and how after baby sitting him long enough the name seemed more like a real name than a word
interesting to see ernie after august as they are princess eugenies sons - august and ernest but they are known as Augie and Ernie
Oh yes!!! I must have got them into my subconscious!
Friend of mine has a litte baby Jenson, isn't it gorgeous! Plus cool points for the F1 link
So cool - I know a Jenson too! xx
I've got a Forrest, he'll be 6 months in a week!!
More boy name lists! So hard to pick boy names over girl names
What a wonderful list!
The most unique I've heard is a boy named Bervic or Bervick. It is possibly a variation of Berwick, but I haven't been able to track down the meaning or origin. I don't ever see it on name lists.
Oh wow, it does seem totally an invented name. Berwick means corn field which is quite nice, maybe they pronounce their w like a v - my husband does a lot! x
@@SJ_Strum
The interchangeable v and w sound hadn't occured to me.
Emrys my second is turning 3 this week. And i also have a 8y named Erwin.
Cale is my son’s. There is an Irish spelling of Cale but I can’t remember how it’s spelled. Family names, Findley, Evan, River, Aubrey. Unique names Tripp, Breck, Noah, Kit, Track, Trig, Blaise
RAREST names I’ve ever heard/met in person - pt.2 |Honourable Mentions | (These are boys names that were RARE or UNIQUE at the time, but have recently gained popularity since hearing them.)
Ezra, Misha, Declan, Xander, Quincey, Keegan, Bernard/Barnard, Sage, Kye/Kai, Emmery/Emerson, Meyer, Silas, Nelson, Garrison, Rhys/Rheis, Myles, Santiago (Santi), Grady, Harrison, Cohen, Zane, Antoine, Brady, Briscoe, Cieran/Kieran, Tevin, Harlan, Lennox, Clement, Javon, Lane, Angel, Enoch, Ruben, Tyree, Quinton, Serge, and Thatcher.
Love the name -Adonis - : means the handsome man
-Orfeo - : means dark of the night
Adonis is also slang for big 🍆
Wow I LOVE both of these - Orfeo is so lush!
Me watching this as a single 15 year old who doesn't want to have kids until her 20s
Jonquil mean reed
Layton - herb garden
Oleander - evergreen tree
Tell me what you think!
@@samcobb1353 thank you for your suggestion. We did consider Heath as a middle name but weren't completely sold on it so wondered what else was out there.
@@greendoorsoundbath8694 I never thought of names like that. I do like the connection Ever has as I want quite a close connection to heather.
Hewitt or Halston with dad's middle name
🫶🏽 Congratulations
I had a cousin Mershon. I think it was a surname, but I'm not sure. He went by "Shon" I also once knew "Mace". That was a family name, but I always thought of the spice. Not necessarily a bad thing. 🙂
I am Cornish and named my one year old Jago, I still adore his name so much!
Most unusual boy name i’ve ever heard is Marmaduke, i don’t think i’m on board with that one! 🙈
Oh SJ I’ve got a gem for you, the most unique boy name I’ve ever SEEN was Lu-K
I live in Quebec where everyone is speaks french, the letter K in French is pronounced like Kahh, the name Luka is pronounced loo-Kahh so this family named their son Luka but spelled it Lu-K… the child will likely have to encounter English people who will read his name as loo-KAY, how tragic
Wow that's a bit unnecessary maybe to make the spelling so hard for him, but it's different and hopefully he'll love it!! xxx
perfect timing - boy in the making!
The name I’m dreaming over for our next baby is Wolfe and everyone else hates it. I love it but don’t know if it’s truly usable
I know one. He's known as Wolfie
Aussie is here 🦘🐨🏖️
There was a kid at my son’s nursery called Logix…. Haven’t ever heard that anywhere else, genuinely unique?
