💙 Baby boy arrived Sunday, 6 December 2020. 💙
We named him Sebastian Jude Lowen (a Cornish name which means happy)
Big brother and sister are already in love with him, and so are we. He’s truly the best way to end 2020!
Ahhh huge congrats - I LOVE his name!!! Give him a big hug from us all xxxxxx
Congratulations! What a lovely end to a horrible year. Such lovely names.
Ahhh Late congratulations to you
Shame you stole my runner up name Sebastian
Oh well it is a wonderful name
Lovely
I knew an older man who’s brothers name was Basil. His wife was Rosemary. You can’t make this up, I always thought it was the most precious thing ever
Yeah my great grandad was a Basil and my gran’s name (his daughter) was rosemary
I know a fern sage
Giveaway :-D
My husband and I found out we were pregnant after two and a half years of trying. So excited!
congrats❤️
Yay! What names are on your list?
@@hannasommers489 Top picks at the moment are Elowen for a girl (I'm Cornish) and Rowan for a boy, but we're open to suggestions!
@@pudupudu9837 LOVE THOSEEEEE!!!
Elowen is so pretty! Congrats! I hope it goes well for you, best wishes!
An Anne of Green Gables themed baby name list would be so cute!
My baby Lyra Elowen was born 01/12/2020 thanks for all your suggestions SJ 💓
Congratulations! Lyra Elowen is beautiful 💜
What a BEAUTIFUL name, congrats x
love her name😍 congratulations❤️
My 3 month old is Elowyn!
Those are both my top names! Gorgeous! Congrats!
Another great alternative for Edward is Edmund, I absolutely adore it
Oh yes I love that alternative 🤍
Love thattt - reminds me of the Narnia movies :))
I Adore Edmund!
Love this, also love Eddison x
nearlyyyy my surname
So excited for this because boy names are the hardest for me and I LOVE vintage names!
I couldn’t get behind Edgar because of the Disney movie The Aristocats, the butlers (who is the ‘bad guy’) name was Edgar.. 😅
i knew i recognised that name from somewhere but i couldn’t remember what from 😂
Musical theatre fan here and Carrie Hope Flethcer named her new cat Edgar as a cheeky reference to Aristocats because looks like his wearing a little suit, which has totally won me over on the name!
Creme de la Edgar
😂 my son’s middle name is Edgar but names after my father, not after the bad guy butler. He’s awful!

Wow. Amazing news SJ! Well done you! You need to give yourself more credit. You are not only warm and welcoming but so generous and kind with your time and words. It is very much appreciated ❤️ A very well deserved accolade xxx
Lawrence it's so gorgeous with Laurie short. Reminds me of the film little women. Too cute.
That's the first thing I thought of too!
I think of Ronald Weasley, not Ronald McDonald :D
Me too! And I'm an American, so hopefully the name can pass for people!
@@audrieking7109 I'm German, so the name isn't really usable to begin with (or I guess you could use it, but it sounds like the baby would be born as a 60 year old and people would probably be weirded out by that alone) and if someone did use it people may either think the name is Roland, not Ronald, or think of McDonald's 😂
@@Abbytix Haha so you alone would think of Ronald Weasley, bit no one else haha 😅 I don't think Ron would bode well hear either. Mostly old people who have that name, and all of them go by Ron anyway.
@@audrieking7109 I think anyone who likes Harry Potter may think of Ron, don't think that's specific to 1 country 👍🏻😂
@@Abbytix For sure, but some countries have more of an association to certain things because of stuff around them. But yeah, unlikely a non-Potterhead would think of Ron!
Congratulations SJ !!! We are all so proud of you !!!!!
Omg am I the only one who absolutely loves the name Basil!?! Love u SJ
I Love Basil! My husband hates it though. He says all he can think of is the herb.
I love Basil too! I had a great Uncle Basil who I greatly admired. My husband is NOT a fan though.
I love Basil too! And my boyfriend says no too. I think it's super cute for a child and adult
I love it
I love it but I know my husband wouldn’t like. I have Basil and Sage on the list. I once met a girl named Thyme, she was the cashier of a beauty retail shoppe.
Was waiting for this one all week!
huge congratulations on your amazing achievement !! 🤩 my absolute favourite channel 🥰🤍 you deserve it xx
Boy names can be so hard!
Yes! I can never find ones I like
Congratulations, SJ!
congrats on the achievement, sj!
i love edward and kenneth deserves a comeback in my opinion, it sounds lovely!
SJ, this holiday background with your tree and fireplace is so beautiful, paired with this yellow looks absolutely amazing!
Your ability to set up a camera and style yourself to match is incredibly underrated!
Your videos are always visually stunning
I've been following your channel forever 😂❤️
I agree! I love this setup and it makes me want to go out and get more plants!
Congrats SJ! Love these videos for naming babies and sims :)
Oh Vera has been on my list for years🤦🏽♀️ It’s a family name, I hope it doesn’t become too popular x
omg me too. not a family name, just read Testament of Youth a loooong time ago (the author's name is Vera) and I've wanted to name my daughter that ever since. I'm 24 and not even close to that, so like you I hope it doesn't get too popular!
I feel the same
Been looking forward to this list since you released the girls list! I love old fashioned boy names 😍
I love these! I am longing for Spring! Can you do an updated spring baby names video? Thank you queen xoxo
Congratulations! 💕 Your background in this video is gorgeous
You're actually spot on about how we say Graham in the U.S. - GRAM!
love the classic names for boys, they're all gorgeous and timeless!
Love your videos 💕 I dont plan on getting preggo soon, but it helps me so much to figure what names could go as well in french and in English, bc I feel it is important for the future 👍🏼 so many opportunities outstide the border !
“kids still don’t think i’m cool” I DIED 😂 congrats SJ!! 🎉💕
Can you do Hispanic baby names? 🥰 I’ve been obsessed with them lately
Congrats, this is amazing!!!💗
Giveaway! YAY! 🥰 Ernest, I also love that book/play, I just struggle to see it as a baby name, but I think it’s so so cute!
Been looking forward to this vid SJ!
We have an Alfred & George (middle name Wilfred)
Love this list, lots of gems! Xx
Had to come back to this video as it was one I made my husband watch for baby name inspo as he likes the more traditional names. On the 1st of January 2022, our Stanley George was born and his name is perfect. Thank you for these videos, they are just fab and genuinely helpful!! 💙
Love your videos! I would love a 1800s middle names list
I just gave birth to my son about 2 and a half weeks ago and his name is Norman James!
Happy Baby Name Monday SJ!
First!! Love these names! 💕
I’m not having a baby, or even have a boyfriend lol 😂 but I love baby names! I’ve been collecting a list of my favorites for when I have kids! Xxx
I’m a middle
Aged woman who is blissfully child free. I’ve always been obsessed with names
Hahaha same, I've always made lists of names I liked since I was little 😂
I’m a teenager!! 😂😂
@@abigailazureellis shh I'm 20 don't make me feel old 🤣
@@oceanofnames5757 Oh my goodness, I thought it was just me who did that!! 😂😂😂
Ivan really stuck out for me, Thank you!
This is one of my favourite ever videos. And congratulations for your amazing achievement being recognised SJ! My top name on this list is Walter 💙
i’m due in 4 weeks and naming my baby huxley dax ledger♥️ we absolutely adore double middle names and we’re SO excited for him to finally get here!
That’s so cute!! Congrats!
@@alexh1642 thank you so much!🥰
i love that! your baby is gonna be so cool
@@mary419 he was born on december 31st, 2020! he is definitely the coolest baby ever♥️
Ok, PLEASE do a video where you pronounce names (or anything!) with an American accent!!! You pronouncing Graham like "Gram" was spot on and SO hilarious to hear after hearing you speak so elegantly normally!! I am from the Midwest in the US and we really do sound like that. I would be SO entertained to hear more!
Edgar’s been on my vintage name list for a while now! Although it definitely makes me think of the Aristocats and the infamous “crème de la créme à la Edgar”, I got a hedgehog ornament last year and called him Edgar and now it just has cute connotations for me! It’s on my list beside Franklin (which I don’t want to get popular because I absolutely adore it so shhhh).
Can’t lie, I associate A LOT of these names with serial killers 🙈
Ha ha , I'm like oops I'm on youtube to much watching serial killers 😂
As an Australian, Ivan is a difficult one because I instantly think of Ivan Milat.
@@soph13.h I used to be friends with a couple of his nephews in Sydney. Nice boys
That’s the first thing I thought of for Clifford unfortunately 😅
I came close to naming my son Theodore but I couldn’t do it haha
Giveaway! ❤️ From this list I really liked Colin. Thank you
My grandfather was Ernest and he was the best person you ever could meet! It’s always on our list ❤️
My grandfather was Ernest too. And also the greatest person you could ever meet. My son's middle name is a tribute to him. ❤️
I love the name Ernest it’s high on my list
I would love you to do a video of stylish one syllable names to go with a long surname ❤️ I have recently found baby name Monday’s and I am loving it
YESS I love these classics!
Aww I am so glad my baby boys name wasn’t in this list 🙈💙I’m very precious of it haha ! I loved Edgar , Percy and Roland xxx
Desmond was my grandfather's name who passed away when I was very young so I don't really remember him but hearing stories of how wonderful a man he was had definitely made me adore this name! Plus Dez or Dezzy for short is adorable 🥺❤️
I love the name Gordon, but I don't think I could use it because of Gordon Ramsey... I just imagine my baby screaming "Bloody Hell" 😂
My last name is Ramzy so your comment made me laugh because I started thinking about naming my hid Gordon and realized that he'd really become Chef Ramsay LOL. It's my maiden name though, not my husband's name
My fave was definitely Ivor! Never thought about it before but now it’s on my list xx
I love Ernest, Ernie for short!
I also have a Lennon and and Alan in my class (10 year olds) and they really suit them!
So excited for you SJ!
My favorite is Arthur. All 4 of my partner's and my granddaughters' names are on here, as well as brothers, uncle's, and cousins.
I also quite like Henry, Maurice, Derek, Anthony, Eric, and Ian.
A coworker of mine had a little boy at the beginning of October who she named Graham (pronounced the funny American way 😀)
I love watching these videos! My baby name lists gets longer and longer each time! We’ve got a Jackson(7) and Elsie(2) and trying for baby #3 after having a few miscarriages❤️
Jackson,Elsie and Lorelei
Awwww, Norman was my Grandaddy’s name - he was one of my most favorite people ever! 💙
Oh I love the name Eric, that has just gone to the top of my list 😍
Congratulations on the UA-cam accomplishment. I am so excited and happy for you!!!
I’m glad Leonard is on the list. My cat is named Leonard🐱😂
I feel like you had all the Weasley brothers’ names on your list 😂
So funny because earlier today before watching your video, I thought of the name Leslie and how it’s actually very pretty and has a lot of sounds that people are looking for in a name today. But no one uses it! Haha
I love this list! My favourite kind of boy names are traditional old fashioned names. Eric is super cute I love it spelt with a K too ! My great granddad was Henry but known as Harry. I would definitely use it!
Henry, Laurence, and Graham are on my baby name list!! Henry is a family name, Laurence is from one of my favorite films Little Women, and I just think Graham is a pretty middle name spot!
Graham is down as my middle name for a boy cause it’s my dads name
Laurence is on my list for the exact same reason
@@rebekahhughes9177 lol same. Love Laurence
And with the nickname Laurie I love it
I love Henry as that's the name of my grandson . He's nearly 4.
I hadn't thought of Edwin! What a cute name. Also loving Henry at the moment!
Laurie is my favourite boy name!! First came across it when reading Little Women, my favourite book.
I felt a huge connection to this list, as so many of my family names were mentioned! I was actually going to be born Harold if I had been a boy, and I was going to be Hal for short. Gerald and Basille (feminine version of Basil) are the names of my 15 year old cats. Not to mention my dad’s Dalmatian was called Hubert. Ralph is the name of my 34 year old brother - Given that my mum then had an Eleanor and then me, Freya, she was way ahead of all the name trends as our three names are flying up to the top.
Giveaway. Love when you do boy names!! They are so hard to choose normally !
My son is 4 and called Percy, I absolutely love it! 💙
Percy has been my guilty pleasure since I was a teen! I'm also really feeling an Edgar as an alternative to Edward shortened to Ted as a family name. I also think Gilbert is adorable, a little Gilly or Bertie is so cute to me! I love vintage names, I love that they are recognised by all and not difficult to read or spell but still quirky!
Percy reminds me of Percy Jackson lol
Percy is seriously adorable!
My son is called Percy Jackson 💖
I can’t remember why, but Perciville was the name we called my little brother to tease him. It was guaranteed to make him fly into a rage. I’m sure it must have been from an old movie or book. I have always been a vintage lit lover.
Cracking up at your impersonation of Americans saying Graham. As someone from one of the south-east states I can 100% say it’s spot on! 😂😂 I would totally use the name if I could pronounce it correctly 😂
Love love love Ivan! 😍
I love Cyril, Basil, Graham and Lawrence! And Thomas, James and Philip are classics. Anthony and Alexander have always been personal favourites of mine too. If I had to vote for only one, I think I'd have to vote for Cyril
Love Ivor!! (Have has such a huge crush on Ernest for forever too). Those Terrence, Laurence names are so up my ally as well!
Congratulations 💖 Love you ❤
Are you going to do this again for 2022!?
I'd love a list of top British Boy + Girl names from 1922!
A few of my favourites at the moment....
Girls: Ray, Dove, and Estelle
Boy: Emile, Cove, Cole, Finch and Pine
Oh I love Emile! And quite like Finch too.

Percy is on my name list (not that I'm having a baby any time soon) but I absolutely love it! I'd also love to use the name Roy as that was my grandpa's name but not really sure if now is the right time for that name.
i love laurence/ laurie and eric - reminds me of the little mermaid but who doesn’t love that eric!
Giveaway - I love the idea of linking a current name to a popular name from a century ago! So fun.
I teach an 11 year old called John! And he really suits his name!
I love Arthur and Owen! So cute. I also thought it was interesting that both of my grandma's names were on the girl top 100 list from 1921 but neither of my grandfather's names were on the boy one. Their names were Abraham and Wilmont. Both pretty uncommon!
I have Edwin on my baby name list at the moment (due end Feb ☺️)
I also love the longer form Percival, using Percy as a nickname.
It’s amazing how so many of the big names on this list have stood the test of time and are still around today so much more than the girls equivalent.
Good luck with your coming baby! Sending you lots of positive vibes!
I agree too, the boy names truly stand the test of time and the old school ones are still kicking strong!
And I love the name Percival with a nickname Percy! I'm a big Harry Potter fan so that's what it makes me think of - Percy the older brother of Ron, pretty sure he was Head Boy of his House too.
There are so many good ones! Ivan is definitely unique! Edgar, Horace, Alan, Frederick, and Hugh are a few favorites aling with the first few such as James, Thomas and others. Geoffrey us extra special because I knew one who helped me when I was bullied. I really want to be able to use it myself because of it.
Sidney, Jack and Charles have always been some of my favorites!!
Giveaway!
I love the sound of John, I wish it wasn’t so popular. It fits with the “cowboy” name list I know you will eventually do ;)
SJ, This was my favorite list of yours and you’re not alone, I totally love the name Edgar! I went with two names off this list for my twin boys due in April! Edgar and Robert - Eddie and Robbie 💙💚
Ahhh so happy to hear that! Xxx
I really enjoyed and liked the video and liked all the names on the list😎👍🏼🌟 I think my favorite vintage name is Thomas , while the other two vintage names I like are Henri and Joseph 😎👍🏼🌟🥰😍
Love Wilfred, Ivor and Sidney from this weeks list. I’m currently 10 days overdue with my first baby boy and we still haven’t locked down a name. Although Beaumont shot to the top from the list a few weeks back.
Simon Cowell named his little boy Eric. That may have sparked its popularity. X
So did Donald Trump :(
I really love your videos and already watched so many of your Babyname videos even though i'm from Germany and wouldn't use these englisch names, which is actually kind of weird i think. 😅 But i guess it is because you are such a lovely person ❤️ (and because I love Baby names😍).
your accent makes all of these names sound beautiful!
I love Ernest! It is my little boy's name. I'm looking for a name for my third baby boy due in April, so I have been paying close attention to your boy names. Congratulations on your big news!
Giveaway 😁
Loved some of these names! So cute xx
I love Norman, Horace, Basil and Cyril! I associate Eric and Gerald with An Inspector Calls and English lit GCSE which would put me off a bit
Ye same all I can think of is AIC and I’m doing it at the minute so it’s defo putting me off haha
I had an uncle Norman and my dad was Cyril.🇨🇦
A lot of these names I would name a pet as I enjoy pets with old fashioned human names 🤣 but some of them I love for babies ❤
we called our dog Arnold and cat Delores we love animals with human names
I love Roland!
I recently met a toddler named Dennis. His parents are from the Middle East so he has the most beautiful dark eyes, straight black hair and the perfect olive skin. He was the sweetest.. I don’t know if I’d ever use it but he definitely made it useable for me! Such a sweet name!
I have always really liked the name Dennis. Had a kid in my neighbourhood who had that name and he taught me how to chew and blow bubbles with bubblegum. Good memories with that name for me!
My younger brother is called Sidney, he is 14 now so was really rare when he was born! It is a family name for us. Everyone loves it now and luckily so does he!
My son is Sidney Philip! I get lots of compliments on his name ☺️ I love the variations of Edward - Edison is my favourite.
I love Edgar! Little Shakespeare reference too!
I'd love to use Dennis for a little boy as it was my grandfathers name
