As Bob Geldof once said about a seventies Punk band, 'Shooting stars are the brightest and the most wonderful to watch during their splendour, but they are the quickest to fade away'. I would have loved to see this tour. He deserved a better outcome than what was to become. Stuart Adamson. Scotland, never forget him 🏴
Great great band. Very unique sound. There was simply nothing like them at the time. RIP Stuart Adamson an absolute legend. Scotland be proud of your son!🏴❤
Magic thanks for posting this great BC show during their Steeltown tour way back in 1984 The Picture quality looks so much clearer I must say as I Remember watching this actual show on New Year's Eve of 84' With My Mum God Bless her RIP ♥️ 🙏 😢
WOW.....The storm guitar hits me in my heart everytime. HOLY SHIT.......there is something about a big country crowd. I still get goosebumps when I hear the crowd rocking.
This is Also the only film footage I know of during BC's Steeltown tour in 1984 a great shame there's only 40 mins worth which is better than nothing I suppose" But such a shame the band didn't consider filming it in it's full show glory ?
@@petersneesby6396 absolutely correct. I’ve often lamented this massive oversight. Steeltown shows were so under-represented in an officially recorded live sense more than any other album in their catalogue. A huge shame.
@@Finsami71 they did! They even played it this very night but it just wasn’t in the part that was broadcast. 😭 Check this one out if you want to hear how it sounded. They added an epic outro to it. It’s audio only but it’s the whole gig from this same leg of the tour. ua-cam.com/video/_8lMblpcUAc/v-deo.htmlsi=kcZtFkVxOwcyE7S_
Wow I remember me and my two best mates watching this on New Year’s Eve live all those years ago the three of us just kids having a few beers enjoying our favourite band we’d saw them at Newcastle city hall in the summer incredible
I remember watching this and being gutted at the fact that slow songs made up 70% of what was televised. I'd seen the band at Hammersmith Odeon a couple of months earlier and it was amazing as a complete gig. The rockier WTRIS, 1000 Stars and HH make this video. Great to see it again 40 years later. Thanks a lot for posting ❤
@@adriankitchen they kept the same running order as every other gig in this leg for this one - and the timing of the live cross just happened to showcase the section of the set with a few slower numbers. While it never affected my enjoyment of it, I have always thought the same as you and I've never before now heard anyone else mention it. I do like the poignancy of CBTM as the first song after the new year but something like FOTW, IABC or even Wonderland would have brought the house down (and they were all played anyway)
@@BC1000Stars I will be, Andy ! Can't wait 😀 If anyone can get in touch with Peter Hooton of The Farm, he speaks very highly of this gig. He was there and it inspired him to be a rock/pop star. I'm sure he'd love to be at this Premiere 😉 Roll on tonight !
@ you’re kidding! Something made me think of The Farm and I watched some of their videos just yesterday. Hadn’t thought about them in years and now you mention that. Incredible.

Fantastic quality. Thanks for sharing.
Remember watching this live from my sick bed with awful flu. Better days, wonderful band and memories.
What a band❤

There's no fixing that classic VHS audio that fades in and out in waves. But otherwise, a first rate job.
superb
Great job guys thank you for all the upgrading you have done on all the videos tremendous effort 👍😄

Brilliant to have this version of CBTM 👊🏻👍🏻
The soundtrack of our youth restored Thx :-)
Thanks. Awesome vintage footage. Superb quality pic and music.
