I bought a replacement full set of hinges where ALL parts are metal, hoping not to have to do this again for some time. I also had a difficult time getting one of the grub screws out - it had completely seized up, and my initial attempts to undo it had caused some rounding, which made it even more difficult. Ended up using an extractor bit to get it out, and the rest was plain sailing.

Great video! Saved a lot of time and hassle. These toilet seat hinges are also used on our 12 year old Roca Hall Toilet seat which also has these rubbish plastic end caps that have gone green. The replacement end caps are still available via Amazon albeit at £29 which is great as the seat itself seems very difficult to find if not impossible. It is a very poor reflection on Roca's design team to create such a poor quality hinge.

We also have this toilet seat, we had to replace ours a few years ago we brought it direct from Roca at the time £89 , it’s now £112.
Our seat lid isn’t doing the soft close and I cannot work out how to fix it can anyone give me some advice please .
The grub screws in the toilet , when your looking at it the left hand one just keeps spinning it’s not tightening and it also won’t come undone, anyone know how I can resolve this please. Many Thanks in advance .

Maybe one of the worst sanitary vendors ever. All of our bathrooms, toilets etc are Roca and I have really regret it. I tried to remove the toilet based on your instructions - great video BTW- but I couldn't do it.

@@fiveminuteman It goes even worst... Called the local Roca disti and asked for a new complete toilet seat set (cover, seat, bolts). The model is discontinued and the vendor does not supply parts anymore so the only option is to get a new toilet + toilet seat set. Roca NOT!!
Can someone tell me if I can install a universal seat (of course with the dimensions for my toilet) on a Roca toilet!??! I went to my Leroy Merlin store, but they say I can't use a universal seat due to the screws, cause they need to be installed under/bellow (something like that).
The thing that I don't understand is about the holes, they have that rubber where the screw enters, cause I'm almost sure that the dimensions of the screws from the universal seats (in terms of diameter, M6 or similar) have probably the same dimension that the hole that is on my roca wc. So why I can't just use them on my roca wc ?? If the screws enter on the rubber hole on my Roca WC and I just tight them very well, what is the problem ?!?
I'm so frustrated because I can't even buy one on my Leroy Merlin store to test the screws because they don't allow to return a toiled seat unless the package is not open.

Great explanation video. Ive got Roca TheGap monoblock. Any idea why would hinges only work properly when both seat and lid are closing? When both are up and the seat is closing, it stops and drags down the lid aswell. It generally doesn't descend smoothly but keeps braking every now and then. Very annoying and I could not find a proper solution. The toilet is almost new and i've already tried cleaning the hinges, grease with wd-40 but no help.
Not sure on that one.

Después de ver todo el vídeo con un wáter todo sucio por dentro, aguantar tu rollo de los cromados, a la hora de montarlo lo hacer a cámara rápida y a media luz para q no se vea bien, si no quieres enseñar hacerlo no engañes diciendo cómo enseñar a montar di q enseñas wateres sucios y a cromar 😢
