You are quickly becoming one of my favorite content creators Mr. Bob Ross of OSRS. I tried your last guide, unfortunately 3 days later they nerfed the barrage myopia tech so I've been mainly doing melee. I like how simple you talk through the waves. I will be recommending you to my buds who want to try this content but are scared to because they all think they need to be mega sweaty with switches/spells/prayer flicking, and this proves otherwise. Thanks for this!
lol TYVM :) I personally try to stay away from sweaty methods when possible. I know how to do a bunch of high level techniques, but find they are most often times unnecessary unless trying to achieve a specific goal (combat achievements, speedrunning). I want to show people we dont have to be perfect, or uber gamers. We can make mistakes (or, in the words of a legend, 'happy accidents') and just continue on to reach our goals.
@@VideoGameBot Just wanted to come back and say your vids were a huge help, got the quiver today after 257 deaths hahah. I had all the tips, I just needed to execute. Keep up the great content
At ~ 27:55 you could've stood 1 tile away from the pillar in the middle then clicked to run south praying mage then flicking range after the mage starts its animation as well to guarantee no damage!
Thank you for pointing out the auto-cast bug! I had it happen a lot the last few days and was wondering what the deal was. Really helpful to know it's 4 tiles from the southwest tile.
Random question - If you take Quartet on the Sol fight and get a mage fremmy at the beginning, would you kill it with shadow or scythe? Thanks so much!
@@theimplication777 I just scythe the fremmy, regardless of its combat style. Just make sure you shift-click thru him because he loves messing up your pathing when dodging sol attacks!
Thank you for making an updated video covering the updated invocations! If possible can you make a video showing ways to solve not spooned waves? I use the engage tile and most the time works great but every so often i get 2 units of different combat styles coming from the south while everything else stacks up behind the back of the pillar.
Bout to let this play while I’m resting at night for a week or two like I used to do with xzacts inferno guide lol. Thanks for the tile markers and explanation, I’m going to actually try this soon (no scythe, shadow, or tbow though) and this guide seems super chill and to the point.
Thanks so much for this video mate, Got to sol on my 3rd ever colosseum run and died at 16% but still pretty proud of that. Your guide helped heaps! Hopefully get quiver under 10 deaths is the goal :)
I don't think I'm trying the colosseum anytime soon but this video was incredibly informative and I learned a lot about how the game actually works regardless, this guy speaks really well. thank u very much lol
For anyone who still wants to use the old barrage method with the invo, you can still manually cast at max range, but don't do it on a manticore unless you're superrr confident, a miss click to path towards them could kill you if there are other minions around
Yeah true, I definitely don't recommend manual casting at long range anymore. It was nice when you could manual cast, now its a ton of clicking, a ton of dodging (rangers) and a ton of prayer flicking (manticores), all on top of the clicking required for manual casting in the first place. I guess if you REALLY wanna manual cast, its an option. But I've been staying away from it since the myopia nerf.
Very solid guide and even more so if you’re comfortable trying to off-tick mobs that spawn from A/B. 12 attempts but 4 being deaths using a different guide i got Wave 11 3 times and Sol heredit twice, quiver on 2nd attempt there. Solid advice and good showcase on how to pillar run and when you should. Only thing is that if you get a four mob stack and one is behind the pillar, running diagonal still works! But you need to sit on that corner until one mob wraps around to see you.
Not even a month after getting my infernal cape partly in thanks to your guide, I got my quiver last night. Thanks for making this guide. A couple things: Due to the occult nerf, might be worth bringing an ancestral hat to make up the difference in damage %. I actually brought full max mage minus boots with full max melee in inventory and had 7 brews and 6 rests + 1 sanfew, 1 supercombat and a heart. Had plenty of supplies for Sol, but took the extra mage gear for slightly faster waves. Bring a sanfew in case you mess up on mantimayhem II and just drink one dose immediately if you're venomed. Venom disappears between waves. For waves where I got two south spawns I followed your advice and ran to the northeast pillar which worked. But if reinforcements spawn be ready to run south since the melee one can hit you on the NE pillar (only really needed if you're dealing with something else south of the NE pillar). I died 3 times at Sol barely scratching him - everyone should use the Sol Heredit simulator. I spent a few hours just on this after those deaths before I could kill him consistently in the sim, so it would have been a ridiculously long time and extremely expensive if I just practiced in game not on a beta world. And it's worth getting a scythe just for the fight, it demolishes him. The next time I made it to Sol I killed him pretty easily, even with Doom 1 (8/15 stacks but a lot were me standing in the molten glass spawns for a few seconds). Doom 1 is not a run ender! Thanks again for your guide and I look forward to more.
Writing up a guide myself right now. Glad to see another person pushing the strategy to barrage Fremmeniks!! It's so much easier than running around swapping weapons and praying, for learners at least. Someone needs a plugin to make them look like nibblers and more people would be on board with it 🤣

amazing guide, subscribed. wondering if you could make an offticking / prayer flick guide that is as friendly as this one? my stats are quite low so I can't afford to make mistakes on flicking, but I find myself losing ticks every so often. on RS3 I'm great with projectile based flicks but on OSRS which is all cast-based I struggle
such a good guide thank you. i wish your wave 6 was a bit harder so i could see how to deal with 2 south spawns. wave 6 is by far the hardest wave for me bc of the amount of monsters that spawn in. your wave 9 had 2 south spawns but since there weren't that many other monsters the east pillar run looked easy so i try that during wave 6 but it never works out. i also checked your wave 11 because its similar to wave 6 but you got an easy start on that one as well haha!
just got my quiver on the iron, 81 deaths. killed Sol on 3rd try. Tried out melee only at first, no SGS was not fun. Mage was so much easier. Thanks for the guide!!!
I have a few questions :P Could this be done with a tbow instead of a shadow? Would taking the blood sceptre be better for over healing? Would bringing an sgs be suggested, or because the colosseum is so short, long term prayer isn't an issue?
1.) Yes this can def be done with a tbow, but you lose if you plan on doing any barraging you might run into more of an issue. 4 way mage swap is ok. 2.) blood sceptre is fine. You dont need it, but the overhealing is nice. 3.) sgs is pog if youre attempting to 1shot all the fremmys. You can get max hit sgs specs off on the ranger fremmy. In my guides we simply barrage all fremmys and theyre more or less negligible.
46:30 I am learning Colo, I have a question. Could you have attacked from tile B on the pillar instead of running south. You stood on tile B to make them off ticked to run south. However, if you would have attacked from tile B would that have made the off tick of the mage always line up with Mantys Mage cast? So just pray always against the manty and the mages off tick attack line up with the mantys mage? Essentially the same way you handled the ranger and manty on same tick just before this at 46:15? Just instead of same ticking, you off tick?
A double manticore spawned on tiles A + B. If you do a tick-perfect engage (as i demonstrate in every wave of this guide) you can make it to your A tile before either of them line-of-sight you. This will cause them to be unawakened (they havent chosen their attack styles yet). Knowing that they are going to see me in just a few ticks, and knowing that the only other monster is a ranger to my east, I knew that I could pray range, run northeast, and the manticores would not be able to attack me while swapping pillars (because they were still unawakened). Wave 9 only spawns an additional minotaur, so with all monsters safespotted (northeast) I was able to wait for the minotaur and 1v1 him.
@@VideoGameBot Okay, so if I get it right, running to NE was due to quickly reading the waves? Most of the time I get terrible south spawns I kind of panic and instinctively is to run to the SW pillar. Often times it's a run ender.
@@GC-jm9bt Yeah it was a quick decision to switch to the northeast pillar. But maybe this mindset will help: If you see 2 monsters spawn south of you, and you decide to run to the southwest pillar, you are basically running head-first right into the 2 monsters you are scared of. If you run to the northeast pillar instead, you are widening the gap between the 2 monsters you are worried about. This mindset isnt flawless, but maybe it will help you solve a few more waves? Especially if you aren't willing to offtick A+B spawns, which is fine IMO
I have guides for both, the inferno AND the colosseum. After running both multiple times, I genuinely believe at this point that the colosseum is a bit easier. The waves are nicer, less volatile, and easier to solve/get spooned. That said, Sol Heredit is more challenging than zuk, IMO.
I love all your vids my man. Best guides out there. How did you get your visual metronome to display on top of your overheads? My prayers literally cover the metronome.
@@VideoGameBot I appreciate that and I hope your channel blows up you make the best guide hands down I decided today is the day after studying your videos.
I notice you tank 2x ranger and 1x mager by praying from mage and throwing augury on. Isn't it better to put rigour on if you're praying for mage and wanting to tank the rangers?
I think rigour, piety, and augury all give a +25% defense boost. I'm not sure that it matters which one you use if you plan on tanking a few hits. I like augury, because just incase I miss something and accidentally take a mage hit (from a shaman, or maybe a manticore?) it also gives me mage bonus as well. IDK if it helps, but I've fallen under the impression that it might
@@VideoGameBot ooooo I like the way you're using it. Imma try it out. I'm not too many attempts in and got to Sol because my waves were spooned. My run ender really is when I have 2 mobs spawn on A+B tile and I'm not sure what the best solve is. Nice guide tho!
@@Sxfwxm I've commented on a few posts mentioning the same struggles you are having (A+B spawns). Consider reading some of those replies as I go as in depth as I can. To sum things up, depending on your wave, running to the A tile will get most mobs close to your pillar, at that point you have 2 options: offtick them, and wait for the minotaur to spawn. If minotaur spawns without a mager, you can continue offticking, or run diagonal (but dont go diagonal before the minotaur spawns) Or, if you are having trouble offticking A+B spawns, you can instantly go to the NORTHEAST pillar. This will give you a few seconds of breathing room to think/heal/whatever. But you know the minotaur is coming soon. Maybe he gets trapped in the clump, or maybe he line of sights you. There's a lot of variables to consider, and sometimes you gotta play it by ear. I guess what I'm trying to say is: If youre having trouble offticking nasty A+B spawns, consider running northeast and maybe things get easier, but its not guaranteed
Awesome vid! This was very helpful. By any chance, can you make a short video on how to deal with 2 spawns from the A and B tiles (south spawns) along with the different combinations and how to deal with them? I die 100% of the time I deal with that kind of spawn lol
Dude you sound like Donald Trump! 🤣 How you say things is an exact match. I do not know if that's a compliment for you but apart from that right on brother! Keep them coming.
YES! Planning on doing a iron-friendly budget run soon :) Give me a little time to conjure something up! I'm thinking whip/fang, trident, ahrims, bandos, ancient sceptre
I have a problem of a Ranger and a Mager spawning next to me when the wave starts, even when I start the wave on tick 1 and walk to A tile on tick 1, they both are on the same side and I am force to take another side of the pillar? In your video this never happens, is this Engage tile fixed or what is the issue?
Nice guide man, got a question. What's your take on going the Tbow instead of Shadow route, would it be similar and would the extra defense from Masori be nice to have? And how would you shift the gear around for Tbow? Maybe Sang instead of shadow, or still keep shadow for Frems?
I dont know if I understood something wrong, but autocasting blood barrage with myopia doesn't work as in the video? I need to manually cast it for it to be 10 tiles. Otherwise, what a great guide! Been grinding for 3 days and got to wave 10 just now thanks to the guide. The waves you got on your run were so damn lucky, I have yet to seen anything similar on my runs. I keep getting really bad double south spawns that ruin the run for me most of the time. I can't even run to the other pillar, because the minotaur will then spawn to that side.. Any tips for the double southspawns? Just try to flick them?
Hey man thanks for the guides. I keep getting wave 11's with manticores + another mob on both sides of the pillar, with a manticore and ranger/mager in sight immediately. What is your go to for solving that spawn?
These waves can be really hard, especially if the minotaur hasnt spawned yet. Depending on what monsters are line-of-sighting you can make the wave easier or harder to offtick, so here is my overly simplistic quick-advice: 1.) If you are having trouble offticking monsters on engage (wave 11) you can consider running EAST. There is potential to instasolve the wave, or at least give you a little breathing room where you only have to deal with 1 monster before the minotaur spawns. The minotaur MIGHT get caught on the pile as well, which will most likely insta solve your wave. 2.) If you are able to offtick the monsters that are line of sighting you, I suggest doing that until the minotaur spawns. If his little mage buddy cant see you, then youre golden, continue offticking and kill the monsters that are on you. If the minotaur spawns and his little mage buddy CAN see you, run diagonal! Continue offticking if you can, but pray mage into your tank gear if that sounds too difficult. Without seeing the wave specifically its hard to give 100% accurate advice, but this is my best guess :) GL!
Typically my biggest issue is when separate monsters spawn right in front of u during the start. For example, what do you do if a manticore and ranger spawn in front and there's another manticore on the other side of the pillar? Where should I run?
@@Tbeezer7 I havent done a trident run yet. But I plan to use one for my budget run (which I plan to do very soon). Can't really give good feedback on that until I try. I'm imagining it will work just fine, but cant confirm.
Great guide and explanations, Im just not understanding why you’re shadowing over scythe on later waves when the Minotaur is dragged behind the pillar next to you
The simple answer is that you get SIGNIFICANTLY more ticks before the monsters can Line-Of-Sight you. You get behind the corner of the pillar 1 tick sooner, which causes the monsters to path much nicer, and gives you a lot more time to react to your next move. Manticores also stay inactive while they continue to path towards you if you use the engage tile. B5 tile is very outdated tech.
In wave 10 you could stand in the A tile instead when the help spawns and the minotaur would come down too right? I mean keep augury up and fire ranger at myopia range and quickly run to A when they spawn to lure minotaur down and then back to range to dodge melee attack
Yeah if you stand on A then the backup spawns will ALWAYS be dragged down and wont get stuck in the little wedge. Sometimes getting a monster stuck up there is beneficial though. It can potentially trap a mager recruit up in the cluster, which means you don't need to offtick mager/ranger combos (potentially)! It depends on who spawns up front: the minotaur, or the mager? seems to be 50/50. I didn't get lucky, but its an option that seems to work sometimes when you dont want to deal with the mage recruitment.
yo, videogame bot you got super spooned in the videos ive seen so I've been wanting to know how do you deal with waves 10 and 11 when shaman spawns in front of the minotaur because i cannot get the minotaur in front and it screws my run everytime?
Hey man thanks for the awesome guide, plan on giving Colo a shot soon. Just pulled a spectral on my iron, do you know if it works to reduce prayer drain from blasphemy?
Thank you for your guidance; it helps a lot. However, there's one spawn I don't know how to deal with. When running to point A, there's a ranger and a mage that don't get stuck and they attack you, unlike the others that do. I know it's an early wave, but it brings me down each time.

Huge thanks for this guide, followed it all the way to getting the quiver, got it after 5 boss attempts, everytime i solved a wave id repeat out loud "and the wave is solved" awesome guide 10/10
AND THE WAVE IS SOLVED :D!!! Congratz man!
Easily the most useful video on waves ive watched so far, had 5different tabs open, only stuck to yours haha! good job
I have watched multiple Colosseum guides and this one stands out. Great work!
Got my first Quiver today using your guide. Cheers, was very helpful. Slightly altered the inventory to bring a full Mage Switch, 6 brews & 9 restores though. The dps you gain with from being able to kill things quickly before reinforcements spawn if you get a bad spawn is very helpful imo.
@ZephosBalnazzar gzzz!! Yeah max mage is definitely nice, especially after all the magic changes they made this month
Lol I love this. Feels like an old school video explaining how to solve math/science problems. Keep it up.
Finally beat the boss after getting it down to 2.2% one run, and then the run before i got it down to 1.7%, broke my heart lol but finally got it. All thanks to you man! Used virtually the same setup but with a ely and torva helm, really solid advice on what pillar to run to depending on the monsters behind the pillar in front of you. Awesome stuff. And you're fuckin hilarious, and awesome to listen to. I felt like a 5 year old listening to this at certain points, "and we talked about this earlier, we go baccccck to our engage tile" L0L. You're great.
THATS AWESOME!!! gzzz dude! Very proud of you :) TYSM for sharing your story!
My new favorite content creator. Best damn guides I've found for pvm.
Its so annoying >.> And literally nobody is talking about it
Random question - If you take Quartet on the Sol fight and get a mage fremmy at the beginning, would you kill it with shadow or scythe? Thanks so much!
@@theimplication777 I just scythe the fremmy, regardless of its combat style. Just make sure you shift-click thru him because he loves messing up your pathing when dodging sol attacks!
Thank you for making an updated video covering the updated invocations! If possible can you make a video showing ways to solve not spooned waves? I use the engage tile and most the time works great but every so often i get 2 units of different combat styles coming from the south while everything else stacks up behind the back of the pillar.
Got my quiver today thanks to your guides
Keep up the great work, you make the best informative content!
Happy to have stumbled onto your channel. You break down end game content in such a simple manner. Thank you for all the work you're putting in.

This is the best guide I have watched so far my PB was 6 before this and after a few runs I have managed to get up to wave 10 💪🏻
Just wanted to say thank you so much for this guide. I just got quiver and this helped me so much with understanding it all.

Wow thats incredible progress! Wishing you all the luck!! I hope you get that quiver in no time :)
I don't think I'm trying the colosseum anytime soon but this video was incredibly informative and I learned a lot about how the game actually works regardless, this guy speaks really well. thank u very much lol
You should try it.
@@VideoGameBot Yeah, its not the go to option, its just another tool if you're not sure on the solve
@@Revlos Very true!
Very solid guide and even more so if you’re comfortable trying to off-tick mobs that spawn from A/B.
12 attempts but 4 being deaths using a different guide i got
Wave 11 3 times and Sol heredit twice, quiver on 2nd attempt there.
A couple things:
Due to the occult nerf, might be worth bringing an ancestral hat to make up the difference in damage %.
Hey bro, awesome guide. About to give this another attempt.
Thanks for the video man. Really helpful guide.
Thanks for the guide! Died to wave 11 a few times today and wave 12 once, will keep at it
Writing up a guide myself right now. Glad to see another person pushing the strategy to barrage Fremmeniks!! Thanks for your* guides! I feel like I am on the verge of breaking through
I have absolute faith in you! Keep it up, the quiver will be yours in no time
such a good guide thank you.
i wish your wave 6 was a bit harder so i could see how to deal with 2 south spawns. wave 6 is by far the hardest wave for me bc of the amount of monsters that spawn in.
your wave 9 had 2 south spawns but since there weren't that many other monsters the east pillar run looked easy so i try that during wave 6 but it never works out.
i also checked your wave 11 because its similar to wave 6 but you got an easy start on that one as well haha!
just got my quiver on the iron, 81 deaths. killed Sol on 3rd try. Tried out melee only at first, no SGS was not fun. Mage was so much easier. Thanks for the guide!!!
I have a few questions :P
Could this be done with a tbow instead of a shadow?
@@VideoGameBotAwesome ^-^
Love your guides, too
awesome video man :D

I am learning Colo, I have a question.
31:40 what made you decide to run to that pillar?
But maybe this mindset will help:
If you see 2 monsters spawn south of you, and you decide to run to the southwest pillar, you are basically running head-first right into the 2 monsters you are scared of.
If you run to the northeast pillar instead, you are widening the gap between the 2 monsters you are worried about.
This mindset isnt flawless, but maybe it will help you solve a few more waves? Especially if you aren't willing to offtick A+B spawns, which is fine IMO
Thank you so much for the update! Quick question though: which should be first acquired, inferno cape or the quiver?
I have guides for both, the inferno AND the colosseum.
After running both multiple times, I genuinely believe at this point that the colosseum is a bit easier. The waves are nicer, less volatile, and easier to solve/get spooned.
That said, Sol Heredit is more challenging than zuk, IMO.
@@VideoGameBot Thank you legend! i started to get ready for both challenges thanks to your excellent guides! I love all your content! 😁

How do you have true tile and an additional south west tile displayed on enemies?
NPC Indicator plugin :)
To sum things up, depending on your wave, running to the A tile will get most mobs close to your pillar, at that point you have 2 options:
offtick them, and wait for the minotaur to spawn. If minotaur spawns without a mager, you can continue offticking, or run diagonal (but dont go diagonal before the minotaur spawns)
Or, if you are having trouble offticking A+B spawns, you can instantly go to the NORTHEAST pillar.

Could you use an eldritch instead of Kodai? With a lightbearer maybe?
Definitely!

In your video this never happens, is this Engage tile fixed or what is the issue?
Great guide, really helpfull
Nice guide man, got a question. What's your take on going the Tbow instead of Shadow route, would it be similar and would the extra defense from Masori be nice to have? And how would you shift the gear around for Tbow? Maybe Sang instead of shadow, or still keep shadow for Frems?

Hey man thanks for the guides. I keep getting wave 11's with manticores + another mob on both sides of the pillar, with a manticore and ranger/mager in sight immediately. What is your go to for solving that spawn?
These waves can be really hard, especially if the minotaur hasnt spawned yet. Depending on what monsters are line-of-sighting you can make the wave easier or harder to offtick, so here is my overly simplistic quick-advice:
1.) If you are having trouble offticking monsters on engage (wave 11) you can consider running EAST.
@@VideoGameBot that's awesome man thank you so much for an in depth reply. I will give those strats a try!
@@tg745 I hope it works! Wishing you all the luck
Typically my biggest issue is when separate monsters spawn right in front of u during the start. For example, what do you do if a manticore and ranger spawn in front and there's another manticore on the other side of the pillar? Where should I run?
Check my wave 9! Your example is a very similar setup, and I would solve it the same way.
@@VideoGameBot Ahh I see. Thank you! Also would you recommend trident of the swamp if we don't have a shadow? Or just stick with barraging?
@@Tbeezer7 I havent done a trident run yet. But I plan to use one for my budget run (which I plan to do very soon). Can't really give good feedback on that until I try. I'm imagining it will work just fine, but cant confirm.
Great guide and explanations, Im just not understanding why you’re shadowing over scythe on later waves when the Minotaur is dragged behind the pillar next to you
The moment your prayer down😂😂😂😂😂
Tick eating like a mf rofl XD
What is the difference between the 'Engage' tile and the 'B5' tile?

@@VideoGameBot thank you!
Thank you for your guidance; it helps a lot. However, there's one spawn I don't know how to deal with. When running to point A, there's a ranger and a mage that don't get stuck and they attack you, unlike the others that do. I know it's an early wave, but it brings me down each time.
Try and go north of the pillar to stabilise, kill the frems, then go back to the serp/ranger, if all else fails go south
Great guide! What’s the tile ID for the monsters there?
I mean the radius markers.
