Brother Lew, I came across your channel a couple months ago and have thoroughly enjoyed spending time with you cooking and visiting. You have been an inspiration as you talk and share your everyday life with us. I feel like I’ve went over to my cousins house for a Saturday afternoon to visit and eat. Brother you are the real deal, I understand about having something to do to keep you going and your mind occupied. I think that is good therapy not only for the mind, but for the heart and soul. It keeps us pressing on…I believe your channel has help many people more than you know. Whatever lies ahead we are here to listen, learn , and love. If it’s one video a month…hey I’ll take it and look forward to it. God bless you brother, remember to take care of yourself and enjoy each day we have….Rick
I will always be grateful to you for reintroducing me to my Ole Smokey Electric smoker that I had abandoned. You made me fall in love with it again and gave me new recipes to try. Thank you for this channel!
I for one love what you do Lew. With that being said, I understand. I am 55, working in the Middle East as a Military Contractor. I love cooking over fire charcoal. I am living through you and other UA-camrs. Just know I thank you for what you've done. I am in the Big Lew Crew!
Hi Lew. I watched your video last night. It was full of rich and thoughtful feelings. I am a social worker and have learned that those who have experienced loss and challenges are often those with the most wisdom and mercy. Love your thoughts and wisdom. God Bless.
I remember the first time I received a notification that the one and only Big Lew BBQ had subscribed to my channel 😅 I was honored!! I don’t do UA-cam anymore but I sure can relate to not having time or motivation. I took on CDL driving and got closer to God and that ultimately ended my channel. God Bless you brother, Thank you! I’m sure the new content will be appreciated by many.
Look Big Lew, I know we've never met but we've chatted a little but I consider you pretty much a friend. Just speaking for myself I've been subscribed to you since the first year you started. I know that I watch for the style not the size of the meal. man I know what ever you put up well watch. If you're ever up towards Newton county ar. You have a seat at my table. I mean that. My kids are grown too. They all left and four years later they're all back plus one. My daughter got married and they're staying here till they save up some money. My daughter is a school teacher now also! We all love ya brother! Keep your chin up! God's always in control! Have a good week
Best Wishes Big Lew! I know it has been very difficult the past few years. Life and times change! If we don't change with them we get in trouble. Keep doing what you can do. We will continue to support you as well as we can!
Big Lew I'm not a widower and disabled. But I'm a divorced I understand everstand everything your saying. And totally understand where your coming from. Do what is best for you. Keep up the good work.
Lew - The thing that drew me to your channel (and has kept me here) is your openess, honesty, and simplicity of your cooks. - I see these as your strengths. I'm pushing 70 and have almost lost my wife a few of times to cancer and other complications - I'm a 'single' cook (one man show) cooking for two. I cook big, vacuum seal and freeze a LOT in portion sized packs (you could do this too!) - Then you can eat great food in between the big cooks. Your future will be an evolution, not a revolution - and that's fine. I'll be a fan for as long as you make content - Thank you for for those eight wonderful years. Looking forward to at least eight more - Cheers!
Can't say it any better and sorry for your loss. We all go through seasons of life. I'm sticking with you to see what comes next. Bought some Zydeco Chop Chop on your reccomdation and it's good stuff. Thanks.
Your and I have alot in common big changes for me in the last 4 years. Lew you take care of yourself my friend and hope to see you here soon on the tube.
Life goes on, and I get what you are saying. But really, as long as you are not shutting it down, you are still here on UA-cam and all is well for us subscribers. You have a bank of great videos that many will still watch for the first time. A video a month for example is better than no Big Lew regardless of what you show. Eight years later, You may go full speed production again? Right now, what you do with your time is your decision. I am 61 and I 100% understand You!
Well, I'm definitely a Lew Crew member! I absolutely relate to what you're saying and going through. My life changed 2 years ago, and yes, it's a daily struggle with YT. I'm glad you're just changing gears and look forward to your future videos! Onward and upwards!👍🍻
I started my PAPA Texas channel in 2016 too. You and family have gone through a lot sine 2016. Our lives change and we adapt. If something happens to my wife I will stay single, but I would cook a meal that I would eat on for 2 or 3 days. Good luck and prayers for your next 4 years Lew! I haven't been watching a lot of friends cooks either, been watching Political and Football like you!
@@PAPATexas I know, right! Politics and college Football have been crazy this year. Thanks for watching Papa. I thought your channel was far older than mine. Anyway you are one that I always enjoy watching.
I'm thankful for your videos and subscribing to my channel. This Thanksgiving I'm using the Cajun Classic Crawfish roaster to do my turkey in, Thanks for recommending it. I'll still follow you as long your putting out content and the past videos, Good luck with all you do, HJB.
Hey Lew, I've been subbed for maybe a couple of years now, and think I found your channel from Sal, or maybe Paddy Joe or the Green Bastard. Won't say much, but we lost my dad last year at 75 when he took his own life after his mind started going. I'm truly sorry for what you've gone through, and suppose I just want you to know that you're one of the people whose videos helped me stay grounded during that stuff. I suppose UA-cam is transactional like that. We make videos and if even one person watches it's worth while. We bought my mum a Weber kettle last year. She's always cooked, but here in the UK barbecue is a strange beast that some of us are just now trying to understand. It's helping her. I hope you keep doing you. I can't say I'll always comment or anything, but for what it's worth you've made things a little bit better for us. So thanks 🙂
Lee , I left a comment already , but I gotta say it DON'T MATTER WHAT YOU DO , what ever it is I watch cause I like your attitude on your video's. So what ever you cook is OK. With me . THANK YOU FRANK FROM MONTANA......PS you should come up here and cook in the mountains .
I can't tell you how many times a day I think, "I should video this!" And I think "This is great! I am going to make this," but it's too simple. OR I want to make this but it's too complicated. Sometimes I want to make something but my old lady will say"Who is going to eat that? It's too spicy for me" Bitch I am going to eat it! I don't say that out loud you know. I get what you are saying why make a pot of jambalaya just for yourself. But there is a challenge for you! Scale down some of your favorite meals! Gumbo for one! Shrimp Etouffe for One! Whatever you do Big Lew we will be watching! Rock On And stay sane in this crazy world! BTW Beer helps.🍺🍺🍺🍺
