I firmly believe in separation of church and state. You want to be in a religious environment, there are religious institutions; schools colleges universities. PUBLIC schools should either be void of religion or they must include other religions like Islam, Judaism, etc.
Religion is like politics it’s a very contentious topic but making it so essentially other people who either aren’t religious or follow a different religion to be educated about, in this case Christianity is not acceptable. I firmly believe we need to keep thy religion to thyself.

Galatians 5 clearly teaches that keeping a list of do's and don't's does not save us - see especially verse 24.

We need the grace of Christ to keep them and be forgiven when we fall short, but Christ won't give His grace to anyone who isn't trying to keep them.

Whatever our personal beliefs about the Ten Commandments are, they are exactly that...personal. The United States is built on Religious Liberty. That includes not mandating the promotion of any one religion, but respecting all persons right to espouse their own religious beliefs. When the government commands that one religion be espoused over another, it is contravening the constitutional backbone of the United States...and this is coming from a Christian.

What I think or how I feel about this is irrelevant here. Some history is, however, very relevant.
Observant Hebrews use the phrase, “the law”, to refer to the first five “books” of the Bible... Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy...otherwise known as the Torah or Pentateuch.
Those books were ostensibly written by Moses (and I don’t doubt that explanation of their origin). The first eighty years of Moses’ life is described in the first several chapters of the book of Exodus. (Not only an important part of the backstory of western civilization but I think it's an interesting story as well.) While Moses was herding his father in law’s flocks, he saw that a bush seemed to be on fire but the “fire” didn’t seem to be consuming the bush. As he approached to investigate, he heard a voice say, “Moses, Moses.....Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground...I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham,.....”
This God told Moses to go to Egypt and tell the king (known as “pharaoh”) to let Moses’ relatives...descendants of the Hebrew patriarch, Israel...leave Egypt.
It took some persuading but the descendants of Israel did leave Egypt and, shortly thereafter, the same God who had told Moses to lead his relatives out of Egypt spoke the ten commandments from a mountaintop, wrote them on “tables of stone” and instructed Moses how to build a) a tent/building with two rooms for religious ceremonies and b) the furniture for the building, including a chest or “ark” in which the tables of stone were to be kept. The ark was to be placed in the inner sanctum of the building. All of which has led some people to the conclusion that the ten commandments were or are the most important physical symbol of the religious system of the Hebrew people.
The Gospels and the Epistles were written in the Greek language but they were written by Hebrews who were well versed in “the law”. It helps to realize that what Jesus and his apostles spoke and wrote about “the law” was expected to be understood as applying to everything in the Torah/Pentateuch.
Jesus was an observant Hebrew...meaning that he observed the instruction given through Moses BUT.....
Within a few centuries of the crucifixion, resurrection and ascension of Jesus, there were people in Rome who believed the best way to make the teachings of Jesus attractive to the polytheistic Romans was to combine his teachings with some of the philosophy and some of the religious practices of the Romans. The instruction given by the God of Moses was emphasized less and less while the philosophy and religious practices of the Romans were emphasized more and more until, within a few more centuries, it was actually illegal in most of Europe to live as Jesus had lived. No later than the thirteenth century, the Inquisition (technically a series of inquisitions) was instituted for the purposes of punishing “heretics” and thousands were tortured or killed for no other “crime” than persisting in disagreeing with the doctrines or practices of the Roman Church.
The protestant reformation placed some “heretics” beyond the reach of the Roman Church but protestants themselves were guilty of punishing people for “heresy” (now defined somewhat differently than heretofore). One example is the protestant puritans in seventeenth century New England who were as godly a group as ever exited except for one thing: They employed fines, incarceration, the stocks, the pillory, public whippings and banishment agaisnt people who disagreed with their theology and especially against anyone who persisted in violating their religious prohibitions. (For a list of such prohibitions, please consult MayflowerHistory.com.)
So far as I know, nobody has been burned at the stake for heresy since the late eighteenth century but, a few years ago after I had expressed my opinion that the Inquisition was a terrible idea, the person to whom I said that said that “we” are just waiting for the political climate to be right so “we” can institute the Inquisition in the United States. (He didn’t specify who “we” is.)
The fact of the matter is that there are a variety of opinions, even among clergy, about the exact meaning of the ten commandments. So if the goal is for the ten commandments to become the basis of our (U.S.) legal system and if the Inquisition is revived, who gets to decide which interpretation will be employed for that purpose? My guess is that 40 percent of the people who favor taking these initial steps in that direction will discover too late that they can be punished for failure to comply with someone else’s interpretation.
If I wouldn’t want someone else's religion beliefs or religious practices to be promoted at taxpayer expense or if I wouldn’t want someone else’s religious prohibitions to be enforce by civil government entities or agencies, the golden rule prohibits me from encouraging civil government(s) to promote my religious beliefs or my religious practices and it prohibits me from encouraging civil government(s) to enforce my religious prohibitions. (And yes, I do have some.) This is an aspect of the teachings of Jesus that gung-ho “Christian nationalists” conveniently ignore.
There is, however, another side of this coin. Religion is the sum of those beliefs, practices and prohibitions that pertain to a person’s concept of the highest powers of the universe. The prohibition against religious beliefs and practices being promoted by government(s) should apply equally to the devotees of Mother Earth or the goddess of Reason. As wrong as it would be for me to use government to punish people for violating my religious prohibitions, it is equally wrong for them to use civil government to enforce their religious prohibitions. I’ll use recycling as an example because I try to recycle what I can AND I'm against government requiring my neighbors to do so.

    Blue law
The Roman Emperor Constantine promulgated the first known law regarding prohibition of Sunday labour for apparent religion-associated reasons in A.D. 321:
On the venerable Day of the Sun let the magistrates and people residing in cities rest, and let all workshops be closed.
    - Codex Justinianus, lib. 3, tit. 12, 3
As Protestant moral reformers organized the Sabbath reform in 19th-century America, calls for the enactment and enforcement of stricter Sunday laws developed. Numerous Americans were arrested for working, keeping an open shop, drinking alcohol, traveling, and engaging in recreational activities on Sundays.
Rev 13:11,12 is in the making. The 10 Commandments is now surprisingly accepted by Christians because it's there version which they received from mans tradition, not the version of the bible. Christians who keep the Commandments of God are herald as heretics, salvation by works. Now profess Christians Rev 13:11,12, don't see it as salvation by works because it's there Sunday Sabbath version of 10 Commandments. Rev 12:17 final conflict is in the making. Vast majority Christians who will obey the Papacy the Antichrist keep Sunday Sabbath, false Sabbath or Remnant of Christianity who will keep the Commandments of God, his 7th Day Sabbath Saturday. Rev 18:4 God is calling His people out of Babylon.

So question, segregation and RACISM was heavy in the 1950s and we’re taught in scripture that hating someone without a cause, and in this case by skin color is sin therefore hypocrisy to say you love and fear God but hate your neighbor without cause, simply from skin color, right? So question even if the name God and his commandments were in the schools, where was the practice of those teachings. Wouldn’t it be right to say all of this unmorality in America now has always been there just disguised in other ways such as racism. Also wasn’t most churches disobeying the sabbath commandment as they do today. And why am I the only one acknowledging these faults. Let’s not put America before God, let’s not turn a blind eye to the truth just because it’s convenient. America rise and fall is the same as any super power before it. The Dutch, the British, the Americans, and may soon be the Chinese. It’s important that we do our research so we don’t misrepresent God. America’s success is not because we are a God fearing nation, we have the best geography than any nation and we became a superpower after the cycle of many other nations that were superpowers before us all the way back to Rome. Did our founding fathers obey the sabbath? No. You can spout 10 commandments all day long but what is it if you’re not putting them to practice. Racism and Disobedience to the 10 commandments is a clear sign America was never a God fearing nation but our rise to power was the same as every super power before us. It’s not the will of man that America became America but the will of God and not because of our righteousness but because God wanted this nation to be just like every nation before us and across the the globe we’ve all gone astray but his love still provides order, provision, and protection. We all would’ve been dead a long time ago if it wasn’t for God. We should simply thank him obey his commands and lean not to our own understanding and let our mouths cause us to sin by lying against God. It’s easy to know the truth with the filter of Love. No love then no God. No obedience to God’s every command then not a child of God. You will know them by their fruits, period.

I love the Ten Commandments, but it is NOT the job of the government to teach them, it is the job of the parents and God's community of disciples of Hi Son, Yeshua Messiah. In Deuteronomy 6 God commands HIS PEOPLE to teach His laws to their children! He does not command world governments to teach His Law, He commands His people, who are in covenant with Him, who themselves practice the commandments, these people He commands to teach God's Law to their children.
The lost (sinners) must respond to the gospel with a willing and repentant heart and only then can they serve God. They must choose God. Forcing religion upon the world is antichrist. God calls out to men but He does not force them to respond. Teach children the Bible at home and at God's house of worship by people who actually PRACTICE those commandments as written by MOSES and then the world will not be able to lead them astray.
Prophecy teaches us that a time will come when America and Protestantism/Catholicism will in fact persuade the government to pass laws to force all people to rest on the modern Christian sunday day of rest, which God NEVER commanded. God commands us to keep holy the SEVENTH DAY, NOT SUNDAY. Read Genesis 2:1-3 KJV and Exodus 20:8-11 KJV.
God created the world in six days and rested on the SEVENTH DAY (saturday) and God blessed the SEVENTH DAY AND MADE IT HOLY because in six days He created all things. God made the SEVENTH day a memorial of His creation.
Sunday is a manmade religious day which is not, nor ever will be holy!
The catholic church changed the sabbath day from saturday to sunday at the Council of Laodicea in 364 AD and they admit they did this WITHOUT any Scriptural authority!!
God said the SEVENTH DAY is holy, the catholic church (which is the antichrist) says sunday is holy, BUT man CANNOT make a day holy, ONLY GOD CAN MAKE A DAY HOLY. Whatever person claims to make a day holy is putting Himself in the place of God.
Everyone who forces sunday rest upon others is ANTICHRIST.
READ THE HOLY BIBLE....sunday is NOT the sabbath of the LORD!!
Leave your mannade religion out of the government!
All who hear the true gospel of Jesus Christ will come to Him at their own free will.
Stop FORCING your false religion on others. America is a free country and freedom of religion is the law.
You are antichrist if you legislate religion!
"And he (the beast) causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand or in their foreheads: and that no man might buy or sell except him who has the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name." Revelation 13:16-17
This is the warning that the government (the beast) is going to force all people to worship an image, a false religion, not commanded by God in the Bible, and whoever refuses will not be able to buy or sell anything.
This is what this video is pushing, false religion. They falsely claim they teach the Ten Commandments but they do not for God said the SEVENTH DAY (Saturday) is the sabbath of the LORD, but you teach that sunday is the sabbath!! Sunday is not the sabbath according to the Bible. Hear what God says in Scripture....
"Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the SEVENTH DAY God ended His work which He had made; and He rested on the SEVENTH DAY from all His work which He had made. And God blessed the SEVENTH DAY, and sanctified it: because that in it He had rested from all His work which God created and made." Genesis 2:1-3 KJV
We see here that God made the seventh day the sabbath immediately after creating the world and He made it to be a memorial of His work. This is why He says, REMEMBER the sabbath day.
    Exodus 20:8-11 says...
"REMEMBER the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work: but the SEVENTH DAY IS THE SABBATH OF THE LORD YOUR GOD: in it you shall not do any work, you, nor your son, nor your daughter, your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger that is within your gates: For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the SEVENTH day: therefore the LORD blessed the SABBATH day and hallowed it." Exodus 20:8-11
We see here GOD says that the seventh day (saturday) is the sabbath, not sunday.
The prophet Daniel tells us in chapter 7 that the antichrist (the Catholic Church) would think to change times and laws....this means the antichrist would change God's Laws and the holy times that God set apart for worship. The Catholic Church changed the sabbath from Saturday to Sunday and they also threw out God's feast days and created their own feast days which God never commanded. Why do you think the Jews keep Saturday holy and all the other feast days such as Passover?God lists His Feast Days in the Book of Leviticus (the 3rd book of the Bible) chapter 23 KJV
Any other feast days not listed by God are not from God but are manmade.
The antichrist is the catholic church and the false prophet is protestantism. They do not keep the Ten Commandments God gave to Moses. They are antichrist and this is why they want to FORCE all people to obey them. God does not force anybody to obey Him, He calls us to repent but He does not force anybody to follow Him. The time of the mark of the beast is upon us, it is coming next. The US government is going to make religious laws to force all people to rest on sunday. The Catholic Church is behind this. Pope Francis states this in his 2015 encyclical, Ladato Si. He is asking all governments of the world to pass sunday laws. He is using climate change as an excuse to shut everything down every sunday. He claims it will save the planet from overheating. The truth is that the catholic church desires to force all mankind to worship their false religion. Why would any government need a church to battle climate change? No, they do not need religion to battle climate change, but they determined that if they use religion they can control the people to do what they want.
This is the mark of the beast that the holy Bible says will come upon the world. False religion forced upon all people.
The Bible says that whoever gives in to this pressure to follow this manmade religion so that they can be allowed to buy and sell, instead of choosing to follow Jesus' teachings, will receive a (spiritual) mark in their right hand or forehead and whoever receives this mark will be selling their souls to the devil.
Read Revelation 13 thru 18 KJV

How, do i f e e l about the 10 commandments ? Feelings, got nothing to do with L O G I C. PRACTICAL, hands - on ADVICE, MY SON ! READ PROVERBS and the whole BIBLE - For the fear of God (respect, for AUTHORITY) IS THE B E G I N N I N G of wisdom . Just, the ' beginning '. ONE, must keep them , continuously, for real GROWTH - all the while, being ' pruned ' for bearing more ' fruit ' of spiritual consequences. The ' trail ' we leave , in this mortal, bio-chemical / bio-mechanical existence. will bear fruit - M U C H later. Stand fast , brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ.

What are the commandments (magically etched into a few pieces of stone), they are just natural laws people lived by to help keep peace in the communities of the time, long before Moses was even born.

I am unimpressed with the "ten commandments" and all the rest of your bible's "morality". It commands women to be subserviant, that slavery is fine and other absurdities.
This is an abuse of power to try and advance "christian nationalism" that is nothing more than the end of freedom of thought and religious freedom.
