Thank you Pastor Andy.
Well, the focus is on Jesus and Man. He gave a gift, and we must do something with it. My dad gifted me a skill saw, I then built a table, a chair, etc.
.
Too say, " neo-Calvinism" is unnecessary and redundant. Calvinism, double predestination is a heresy. A heresy is not a neo-heresy. Much like your great point about so-called, "secondary issues".
Leave Calvin out. Scriptures clearly teach our inability, our deadness, our love of darkness, our thoughts of the gospel as foolishness, our hate towards God, on and on
Just come to Jesus and HE will NOT cast you out BUT HE ABSOLUTELY CHOSE you and caused you to SEE your need

@@John3.36 that's rebellion against the God of the WORD. I pray you will find peace in the finished work Jesus accomplished FOR salvation
@@Over-for-now Rebellion against Calvinism, not God's word. The two are not the same.
@@John3.36. You should present Paul's gospel instead of being obsessed with calvin. The FINISHED work Jesus accomplished.
@@Over-for-now you should drop Calvin instead of perverting the gospel with his teachings.
Isaiah 45:7 says HE created evil, even l the Lord did THAT
God of Calvinism perhaps
@over-for-now The term “evil” can be used in the sense of moral evil, such as wickedness and sin sin (Matthew 12:35; Judges 3:12; Proverbs 8:13; 3 John 1:11), or it can refer to harmful natural events, calamity, misfortune, adversity, affliction, or disaster. It is in this second sense that Isaiah speaks, and his meaning is reflected in most modern Bible translations of Isaiah 45:7 (emphasis added): “I make success and create disaster” (HCSB); “I make well-being and create calamity” (ESV); “I send good times and bad times” (NLT).

I see your point about taking Calvinism too far. A similar observation is made toward pre-trib believers that are just "sitting around waiting for the rapture". I don't consider myself a Calvin's, but I see biblical evidence for all five points (Mark 10:45 pointing to limited atonement). With respect to your views presented here, how do you understand Romans 9?
Romans 9 has been summed up well by Kevin from BTF: ua-cam.com/video/AApBbNXeU24/v-deo.html and Leighton from Soteriology 101 ua-cam.com/video/iF1-IdO0RaA/v-deo.html
@John3.36 thanks, I'll view. I'd still like to hear from Pastor Andy, though.

It’s kind of hard to call it a secondary issue when you’re teaching that before the foundations of the world God predestined some people he was going to create to eternal death and some to eternal life. That’s pretty awful. It’s blasphemy and it makes people disgusted at God and not only not want to follow him, but actually hate him and actively work against him.
TheRomans9guy, you said a mouth full when you said it causes people to hate God. In our depravity we absolutely do hate God. THAT is why the truth of our deadness and depravity is SO true. We don't like God's WAYS in our deadness and depravity. Thank God HE chooses us to be SAVED -- the Bible does not say that God "chooses" some to damnation. He wants all to come to the knowledge of the truth BUT we ARE in rebellion and the truth is FOOLISHNESS to the unsaved person
@@Over-for-now If it were true that people hated God because of total depravity that would be fine. But it’s not. They hate God because of who Calvinists say God is. And that’s unconscionable.
@@TheRomans9Guy don't deny scriptures. THAT is destructive to your soul. If we humans hate God because of calvinist, THAT is pure rebellion. It's not calvin, it's scripture
@@Over-for-now Except that Calvin goes strictly against scripture. Stop idolizing Calvin. He was a failed theologian. He’s not God.
@@TheRomans9Guy sadly. YOU are obsessing over calvin. Absolutely obsessing over calvin. I don't care one bit about calvin. Scripture says that the unsaved person HATES God
So quit idolizing your religion
