Found this channel a little before COVID hit. When home gyms started being built I thought about this channel and can’t imagine the traffic that must be coming right now during the pandemic. Good for you Coop! You have a great channel and I’ve learned a lot from ya! Appreciate your vids!
Garage Gym Reviews your doing damn good things. Your message is really good. Your doing this for the right reasons. Not sure how I can support the channel but any way I can I’m down! 💯
Wow, the hyperextensions using the rollers is brilliant! Big fan of your channel, Coop. I am building my garage gym and have made many purchase decisions due to your reviews site and UA-cam channel. Keep up the amazing work!
magnetic hook idea was awesome. I ordered some right after. I leave so much stuff on the ground since I have nowhere to put it. NOT ANYMORE!! Thanks coop
I'm definitely going to use a couple of these as I build out my home gym. The collar magnet, pulley system, and back extension are definitely going to be making an appearance.
I can’t thank you enough for this great tip regarding the attachment of magnets to bar collars. Put them on yesterday and can’t say enough about how convenient this is. Thank you!
FYI - pinpipe braided vinyl tubing: the Lowe's product (which looks exactly the same as the HomeDepot offering) fits over my RML pinpipes perfectly, no need to cut them. Awesome idea, thanks Coop! Manufacturers should absolutely offer this as standard or a cheap add-on to pinpipes...
How big are those magnets? I'm only seeing 1.26" diameter circles on Amazon, which seems like they'd be massive for even a larger collar, but maybe I'm overthinking it....🤔
@@jameswebber8375 Search for rare earth magnets. www.kjmagnetics.com/ as an example. I'm in the UK, so just picked the first site that came up in the US no idea if they are any good
I use 3/4" black steel pipe as DB bars as well as for a pullup bar, and I would use a longer one as a BB if I needed to (its outer diameter is 1", my 1" standard plates fit it). Also, 3/4" Galvanized Split Ring Hangers work perfect as clamps and spacers for you hands.
I'm surprised with some of the negative reviews. I was so impressed with the ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxMwYg0MOXR4M-oGeyBsNSYe1aPOUoRH6D cage that I got the lat pulldown attachment that goes with it. It is equally outstanding. I don't have one complaint other than putting it together is a job. The instructions and packaging of the parts are very well designed and organized. Also, I stripped and damaged the pull down cable the first day, admitting it was my stupid fault, and they quickly replaced it at no charge. I'm 6'5, 280lbs and fit in the cage just fine. Glenn B
Coop, I’ve got a hack for the plate storage pegs that come with these racks. The hex nuts and bolt ends tear up your plates when you push the plate back onto the storage post. To stop that, I bought some rubber furniture chair leg covers. My local hardware store sells them in a bunch of different sizes. The rubber chair leg tip fits snuggly over the lock washer next to the rack. When you push your plates onto the post they stop at the rubber instead of hitting the post hardware.
Coop, for the pin/pipe safeties, the Rogue R3 actually does have safety straps you can buy for them. I bought an RML-3 back in November and substituted the pipe safeties for straps for an additional $100. TOTALLY worth the cost of upgrading
I havnt seen my dad since I was 9 years old... he said he was going to get cigarettes and never came back. I forgot to mention.... he was a magnet... so when you tell me to "just go get magnet..."... you make me wanna lift... hard... hard and heavy... real heavy. And real hard.... Thanks for the moto. Great video.
Nice list! I use colored electrical tape to mark my Jcup and safety locations and just write on them with a silver sharpie. Definitely going to try a few of the others tho
I have a squat rack (not a power rack) with a straight normal pull up bar. I sometimes grab the dip accessory, put it high, and use it for neutral grip pulll ups.
amazing work . i have your channel on all the time when im organizing the garage gym - working. exploring web. thanks for producing this creative , fun profession. yes i said it. GARAGE GYM PROFESSSSSINAL BABY!! Get after it
Attach rings to the rack. Attach dip belt or squat belt to rings. Belt goes in front of your hips, a plate/sandbag/other hefty object goes behind your heels. Back extension.
Coop this is awesome! I came back to watch this video again just to figure out which magnets you used. Uh duh! You had the links! Just another great video; thank you!!!
Coop, as usual, great video! I'm wondering if you have a link to someone making leg rollers for a 5/8" hole? Thanks and keep your forearm guns holstered!
Love this. Unfortunately the rack I have (the fitness reality one you recommended for a low budget garage) not as generous with the versatile holes. Later on down the road I hope to replace it though
Forget vinyl tubing, use a pool noodle. Slice down the middle and slide over the safety pin. It not only quiets down the clanking but protects the knurling and costs a few bucks.
When having a dropped in rhino belt squat, I guess a mounted utility bench + utility pins + belt squat can give you a reverse hyper? If you have 4 leg roller you can make a GHD? These are huge equipment but using them in the rack saves tons of space?
Do you have any hacks you've used in your home gym? Let me know!
Use bands on ur rollers to protect the bar and roller!
Where did you buy the utility pins, could you link us in the description?
Making a DIY pulley system
I just spray painted nicely the lines for where I need the J hooks for squat, bench, etc.
If you have a shallow rack use sidewalk chalk and a yardstick to make a line on your flooring where to stand.
The back extension thing in the end is actually fucking genius. Thanks.
Thanks for watching all the way through. Wanted to make them all good ideas.

Garage Gym Reviews your doing damn good things. Your message is really good. Your doing this for the right reasons. Not sure how I can support the channel but any way I can I’m down! 💯
I spend most of my gym time in the squat rack too. It is where I do curls.
Profile picture checks out
Where else would you do your curls anyways ? There's no better place !
Power Squat Rack is our main battle station at home!
Some say if you compliment Coop, he’ll reply back... nice sweater Coop
hows that reply going
Appreciate it bro :)

I’ll be making my own logo too. It will say “coop” as well

After all, he is the god of home gyms

Your sense of humor is perfect. You seem like a really fun person. I’ve learned a lot from your videos. Thanks for the content!
Thanks to you I've started living in my squat rack.
Coop, you are the GOAT of home gym wisdom - THANK YOU!
Now magnets are gonna get out of stock
I'm gonna start selling magnets online at a 300% markup
The sound effects in this video are CRISP and hilarious. Def a value add to this and I hope to hear more!
Magnetic Collar is a move! I was amazed to see those chains not fall when you hooked them up! Thanks for the tips Coop!

BEAUTIFUL!
Good tips here
The utility pin idea is genius.
I'm definitely going to use a couple of these as I build out my home gym. The collar magnet, pulley system, and back extension are definitely going to be making an appearance.
For the pin & pipe safeties I used a piece of heat shrink to protect my bar. It turned out pretty good!

I'm wondering if regular clear vinyl tubing would work adequately. Do you think the added strength of the braided tubing is necessary?

That last one is really good. I can see some reverse hyper builds with that concept.

You can use foam pipe insulation tubes on the safety pins too. They sell them at Home Depot to put on hot water pipes to keep them hot.
