I have a question for you. Was there ever any hiccups with any ammo you fired through it? will the glock take magtech? my 1911 has trouble with it. I absolutely love my 1911 but I want something a little more reliable for ccw.
Never fired mag tech through mine mostly Winchester white box, Remington federal ball and hollow points. No problems ever with the Glock 30. I love the 1911 but they are finicky about what ammo they like. I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending the Glock 30 as a self defense carry handgun.

As of right now, the Gen 4 G30 is my only .45ACP, and I carry it in a PJ holsters light-bearing holster with an Olight Mini Valkyrie attached. IWB it's very comfortable in that holster and is perfectly concealed. It's one of my favorite carry guns and I will never part with it. It's an outstanding gun for all your .45ACP needs. Congrats to your brother! Can't wait for an update video after you both give it a work out at the range.

I just bought the G30 Gen 4. I have shot this gun several times. It's a perfect gun. I shoot extremely well this this gun. I also have a Springfield 1911 that I just love. I shoot well with my Springfield as well. I am greatly looking forward to getting my G30 Gen 4 for my carry!!! I love this gun!!!!

Congrats! Love my Glock 30. Got some trijicon sights on it and the flush plate. I carry this more than my 19. I love it because I can take it to Cali as well. It just works😉

It blows my mind why someone would hate a handgun that is the most reliable of any handgun on the market. When it comes to my or my family’s life I only carry Glock because I know it will go boom when needed.
There's a ton of guns that do the same and even better
Love my g30 gen 3. I run it as a full size option. When using 21 magazines with the X grip sleeves installed, it feels like a regular full length grip. Dimensionally its damn close to a g19... a chubby g19 anyway. It definitely serves as my do everything pistol.
Like the g19 the TLR-7 fits perfectly on this gun, only protruding maybe a 1/16” beyond the barrel. There are two down sides to the light, both to do with the activation pad instead of a toggle switch. First is it’s easier to accidentally active (especially coming in & out of the holster), this is an unavoidable consequence of its extreme compactness, for ccw a specialized holster would be essential. The second problem is with lateral rather then vertical pressure to activate the light, the point of aim is much more easily thrown off so I don’t use it for brief flashes of light as I would with a spring loaded toggle switch I typically either flip it on and leave it on or leave it off. Definitely more suited to ccw use then home defense or open carry like a TLT-1.
Yea it's definitely one of the best options out for a compact relatively high cap 45 that shoots great for it's size!
Terribly Tactical I do not consider anything “ high cap” until it is in a drum magazine and over 50 rounds🤔.
For me, here in cali, ten rounds is all I get so I take the ten in .45! I’m also much less prone to worrying about FMJ in .45 over 9mm.
Nice I run my g30 the same way but I have 15 rounds in my g21 mags and a kriss vector on the third. Sorry that you live in Cali

Congrats Little Bro. I have a gen 3 30sf. Ordered a KKM SS match barrel. Added a extended mag release. Added Tru Glo night sights. And a TRL-HL light. It is good to go and I love it. Might add the factory extended slide stop to all my Glocks. Still wish I had a 21sf in the inventory. Working on it.
They're such good shooting guns a plastic pistol and then the capacity options are better than most on top of it as well! Thanks for watching!

I need one. The uses to own the Glock 21 years ago. I’ve owned all the 9’s and compact and sub compact 40’s. But I think the 30 would be the perfect do all gun. And it’s amazing that it fits 10 rounds

Picked a used one up for 400 awhile ago, when demand wasn't high. Then found those 9 round mags on eBay, make it a little more concealable in the summer. Great weapon.

Should go for the TLR7A for the light. The 1 is a bit overkill for that size Glock. The 7A is perfect for mine.
Having a standoff for upclose encounters helps it not go out of battery and still shoot
i agree, tlr 1 is overkill, doesn’t look aesthetically pleasing and is unnecessarily big
I sold a G30 a couple years ago and regret it. I found a decent deal on a 30SF and couldn’t pass it up. Can’t wait to get it back into my edc rotation

I added the pinky extension to my Glock 30 magazines. Let's me get a full grip, when I pull outta the iwb holster. The recoil is surprisingly nice.

Maybe it's just me, but both of my g21's didnt have pleasant recoil for a .45acp. Neither did my g23s, but maybe I just need to change my tampon. I still want to get this or a g30s for occasional carry duty though.

Your light hangs out 3/4 " past barrels end. What does that look like after 50 rounds.
It's called standoff and is more important than getting your light dirty. Just clean it.

@@TerriblyTactical yeah, we could own a gun here, we should secure a permit before we can own one (legally) then register it and apply for a permit to carry outside of residence (if qualified). We can just carry it in our bag / car if are given a permit.

Have a question just for reference because I'm looking into getting on of these but can't find it anywhere local so it may be an online purchase.
Currently have a 43x...I'm curious because the grip looks rather small, what is your rings size? Trying to compare fingers to see if its a comfortable grip
I don't wear rings so unfortunately I can't help ya there but the grip length is the same as the 43x for all intensive purposes it's just thicker
The pro to a 9mm is the confidence u have knowing u will be on target for the most part compared to a 45 I own both tho

Do you have pretty large hands? I’m looking really hard at these and I’m using it for a ranch work/hunting side piece plus a home defense gun. I love this one because it looks a lot less bulky than the 21 but wanna make sure I don’t get it and have super big hands compared to yours 😂
While the grip frame is shorter it still is as wide as the 21. That being said, the gen 4 guns without any backstraps on them are considered slim frame and then if necessary you can add on the provided backstraps to make them fit your hand better if need be. Long story short I'm pretty sure it will work perfectly fine for ya. Thanks for watching!

Congrats, one question, why get a 30 and not the 30s?? i know its the same thing in some’s eyes, but slightly different in mines. And yes i do like the gen 4 sadly they dont make 30s version.
The gen 4 grip size is technically a slim grip without any back straps on it

I do believe there is and if there isn't then just buy a 3d printer and make one!
Something I will never understand about Glock is why they made the Glock 30 and 29 like this weird, in between Glock 26 and G19 size. Like why not just have this at a G19 grip length and then have a flat 10 round mag with the typical baseplate, with an extend baseplate that adds more? Other than that I see no fault with the pistol, if I was carrying a compact .45 I would take it.
Well I think because it can be be both like a 26 with the flush mag and then more like a 19 with the pinky mag. More versatile and one less line of guns in less popular calibers than 9mm that they have to make.
Terribly Tactical I guess that makes sense. And I must say I am impressed by the fact this little gun holds 10 rounds and so does the Full size S&W M&P .45. Have you handled an M&P .45 are the ergonomics enough better than the Glock to give away the capacity?
They have a 9 round mag that’s flush and makes it a smaller package. They should give you one with it but they don’t.

Couldn't tell ya unfortunately. I only use streamlight or surefire weapon lights. No experience with olight weapon lights.

streamlight tlr 1 is too big for a glock 30/30s, put a tlr7 on it, would look much better but that’s just my opinion
If you care about looks you don't care. The light fits....works fine...and is creating a standoff that the tlr7 does not.

It's more about what your comfortable shooting. I carry a Glock 30 conceal carry and am more accurate with it than my duty 9mm.
