Hopefully no one eill over look the xsteering shaft cause it could fatal. You don't move very far in two inches. And it could be easy to overlook the speedo cable. Also the e- brake cablesbarebtoo short stock.😅

I have 5 of these Trackers/Sidekicks but they are all automatics so I have no experience with the shifter found on the 5speed models. The automatics in the Trackers and Sidekicks are very capable units ...besides I hate bench pressing transmissions with Transfer cases on them because some kid burned out the clutch or throw-out bearing again. Just my preference.
@@tufftrails I hear you. I guess it's a matter of preference. I'd rather deal with a clutch replacement every 80-100k than with a trans overhaul at 80-160k. And the manuals are more fuel-efficient - I live where gas prices are second-highest in the country.
Exactly Right... This is another channel that deals a lot with Trackers and such...tons of vids and he is also someone who prefers manual transmissions. He has a lot of experience www.youtube.com/@trashpandaoffroad3548 Good luck on your Tracker and post pics as it progresses.

Actually experienced a speedo cable issue on one of them but never any issue with the steering shaft or linkage so far.
Keep up the great work I'm always watching Retro reviews on these little Suzukis and your videos are starting to show up on the side listings.
Not sure what that means, but thanks John...

Got it...I understand. Thanks John @@JohnDrivesAnything
How do you deal with the manual shift lever on the manual trans?
