I own a 97 in burgundy for 1000 that was sitting for 12 years. First Harley and I don’t plan on ever letting her go lol. Needed nothing other than gas oil plugs and cleaned carb.
I’m having a 97 low rider all original with 20k miles delivered to me Wednesday switching from metrics so it’ll be my first owned Harley. Rode many but never owned one. I’m excited for this older Harley, love the sound’
I just bought the same bike with 9700 miles all stock only forward controls and LED headlight all thats been changed. My bags are slightly different then those but still Harley bags. BTW I was at your museum 3 weeks ago great place you did a fantastic job on it. Great to see someone take such an interest to preserve our sport.
Just bought my first motorcycle - 98 Dyna Convertible w 12K. I’m loving this bike… and also love learning the history of this bike. I found a beauty! Mine looks almost exactly as this one.
I just brought a 1998 Dyna convertible!!!....and its a dream to ride....with 28k miles...bone stock but it does have "live to ride, ride to live" air cleaner cover
I got one 2 months ago with 6321 miles, original tires. It's got 9400 miles on it now. And wow, what a dream! My bags are still perfect too, but no windshield. Did it come with one?
Well I just picked one up if it was thrown off the trailer and the trailer came off the hitch so it’s gonna take a little doing to get it back going well but this is definitely a very nice piece you have here
Another gorgeous Harley Dyna. I know next to nothing about Harleys, but I can totally understand why you like the Dynas so much. Very sharp looking bikes. Those handle bars look really strange, although I know you said they're the original handlebars that came with the bike. Just seems the way they are shaped, that it would be hard to ride the bike, and control it, particularly, in an emergency scenario. I've always liked the straight handlebars on them. Thanks for the video.
I'm going to do some chassis upgrades on my 96 FXDS to stiffen the ride and for better handling. These Evo Dynas are pretty comfy. Mine also has a Harley tool bag especially for that bike that attaches with a brace on the bag at the bottom of the frame with 2 bolts. Not sure if it came with rhat. All original !
I know you probably steam-cleaned and buffed and waxed and rinsed and spit-shinned that bike again after your ride, but, don’t you guys salt the hell out of your roads during winter like us up in Ontario?? Almost hurts seeing you ride on those wet/damp roads likely with tons of salt lolol!!?? Anyways, thanks again Big Man for all the sick videos!!!!!!! 🇺🇸🏴🇨🇦
Harley used those bars ..because they wanted buyers to get used to upgrading parts, handlebars are fairly cheap, and they break in your wallet and thoughts to jeez that was easy whats next!
Those bars would drive me insane. I realize they're probably super comfortable but my hands are not used to being placed like that and my eyes are not used to seeing that.

I have the 96 FXDS Convertible. Absolutely the best bike I have ever owned...and I've owned many. Don't think I'll ever sell it.
If you guys were on TV it would definitely be my favorite show! TY for these videos, really appreciated!

What do you think about the 1994 fxdl Dyna low rider custom
Well I just picked one up if it was thrown off the trailer and the trailer came off the hitch so it’s gonna take a little doing to get it back going well but this is definitely a very nice piece you have here

only problem with the bike are the ram horn handlebars id replace them some 12 inch mini apes
Harley used those bars ..because they wanted buyers to get used to upgrading parts, handlebars are fairly cheap, and they break in your wallet and thoughts to jeez that was easy whats next!
hate the ram horn bars myself
Why is it called convertible? I'm getting one fxds tomorrow

Those bars suck, you are correct. Mine came with apes, like 12" ones. I put west coast t-bars on it(slingshots) and much happier
And my bags are nicer
