"I lived and I died as all who have come before me. I did my duty, I carried us on. But I was also special, because of all of those like me, I was the one who was here to see you. And though you only watched, and though I lived much like others, I hope you will forgive me for stealing one last glance. Thank you for seeing me, and being there, all my life, even if just with your eyes. It is a comforting thought, as I lie down, and draw in my last moments. That through your eyes and in your memory, I will live a little longer yet, and see more places than I can imagine, even as my eyes close, and my story, such as it was, comes to its end. May one remember you, as you remember me..."
Damn, that was poetic. From the last look it stole, I feel as though that creature did really appreciate the companionship. This scene had to be one of the most mesmerizing moments. The entire time I was awestruck and in the end filled with a sense of melancholic tranquility.
That was amazing. WE are amazing. I hope I never get to a point in my life, that I stop seeing that. If I do, I hope that someone is there, that doesn't mind taking a moment to remind me.
Its life cycle ended in just a few minutes. Like it symbolically represented the passing of life, and for her (though hers is longer), it gave her the chance to appreciate what she had while she still has it. At least from my perspective. Tbh, it brought tears to my eyes a bit.
Does the alien think it's life is meaningless because it lives and dies in such a short period of time, or does it see it life as purposeful because in all of the universe only it can facilitate to germination of the plant-thing. Does it want for more, or is it content with what it has going for it. Does it has any concept of life or time beyond those 2 minutes that it awakens and dies. And what does it say about us, we might have a little longer than the little guy but we aren't given a clear and so obvious a purpose. Who has it better? Ugh, such a great scene.
It probably lives most of its lives as larva or baby inside the plant, getting fed. Then it just chooses the right pollen with its eyes at the final stage of its life before dying.
So the concrete forest and the lil baby alien lives in a symbiotic relationship. Once a blue moon the concrete forest flower needs to pollinate, and a lil baby alien is birthed to manually pollinate the flower, selecting the best pollen of choice. After that baby alien dies and from the ashes of baby alien a new baby will be born next time to manually pollinate concrete forest.
I wonder if the alien really died or went into some sort of hibernation. Meant to only wake for a short moment to reconfigure the maze output before withering away from the short existance and going back into that slumber before awakening to do it again.
I really love how they don't explain it! When the concrete thingy was breathing simultaneously with Ursula and the little alien thing it makes me question.... 1) Maybe it was a symbiotic relationship between two species, or 2) maybe the little alien was the male specimen and the giant concrete thing was the female specimen of the same species and they die after reproduction.... or 3) maybe the concrete was a bioship, and the little alien was near the end of its life so it sacrificed itself to manually reset a malfunction in the ship for the sake of the colony or 4) maybe the little alien is a temporary mini extension of the concrete organism itself, not a separate being. It grows a limb like a mini organism of itself to perform a specific function, then it reabsorbs the limb. But its an illusion, the little alien and the concrete plant thing are actually one singular being which would explain why the two are connected. Kind of like a bio-bluetooth signal between the concrete and the alien. Ursula was just picking up the signal because she was there at the right moment the way a smartTV will accidentally connect to the wrong device because they both have bluetooth. Loved it either way!❤
I see this as a very painstaking attempt to have viewers look at flowers again. Stuff like this happens in nature every day. And this studio, whether they consciously know it or not, is paying homage to that.
Thought those petal pods like nervous connections as like intelligent energy fields and rays connecting to a human hand fingerprints and guiding the hand as much as the hand guides them with a full connection to the mind like a type of daot high empire technology coming into the realm of neural physics from halo
"What is my purpose?"
"You press the button."

Naaaaahhhh
Welcome to the club pal

There's one that is same poetic as Edgy, what a shame...
Wow

It's not like the scene wasn't a tearjerker already...

The show is just so damn good. Anyone who loves sci fi or animation has got to watch it
2:05 The lil “ah” noise the teeny thing makes before it points is so cute

I hope so.
Knowing this series, a little bit of both

Apparently, fate told me I needed to cry today.
Great series! ❤
Our life is short also, use it wisely
That's some real fig-pollinating wasp vibes.

This was very reminiscent of the alien in annihilation, wen natalie portman stares into thedna replicating light void in awe
Reminds me of aeon flux
HOW LMFAO
@@Maethendiasthat show also had instances of bizarre amalgamations of flora and fauna.
Why is it that she looks like Connie and he sounds like Greg from steven universe and similar animation style

Dude I can't believe they actually put Pepe in the show!
This also feels like one of those weird Pepe animations from like a year ago
Did it truly die? or is it just hibernating
